Chapter 265: Shocking the Kingdom, Escalation
The battle was over, and two days had gone by; however, nothing like calm was observed, for nobody was able to keep their calm.
Ten minutes after the battle, news reached all the other gates about the defeat of a sword Saintess by a mere Grandmaster swordsman.
The name that came with this shocking news was Kent, The same brat whose name never left anyone’s lips this past day. Kent had basically become a hot top in the sect, and now, he had struck again.
There were videos, too, so while many quickly shut down the news, the videos weren’t easily dismissed.
This shook their head, and for a moment there, the other gates could tell the sword gate had received a monster who had no equal.
Four hours after the battle, news had already begun travelling to the other cities and sects and even going beyond the borders of the Athea Kingdom.
Kent defeated the sword saintess from the Everlasting Immortal Sword sect in a sword duel, and from how people exaggerate it, Kent did it all with complete dominance.
He defeated someone who has access and control over profound qi and intent. That just doesn’t make sense. Nobody could tell just what he was made of or where his skills came from.
But it was clear to all that Kent, the purple-haired brat who seemed to only know trouble, was now someone who could not be ignored.
Within a day, the news reached almost everyone. The duel, the defeat of Saintess Val and the bet made before the duel had reached everyone.
The enranged ones had already started making their way toward the Divine Palace sect, while the shameless ones were coming with all kinds of gifts just to get in Kent’s good grace.
They all want to suck up to him or kill him.
The enraged elders of the Everlasting Immortal Sword sect are currently heading toward the divine palace sect, only a couple of hours out.
Meanwhile, after a day, Saintess Val woke up with a pale expression. She was resting in the Gate master’s abode, so when she woke up, the first face she saw was Gate Master Mara.
“You are finally up. Do you remember anything?” Gate master Mara asked. She was just checking if the new disciple of her gate was alright in the head.
She would be lying if she said this was something she saw coming. But now, the Saintess lost the bet, and so, she would become Kent’s servant, making her a disciple of her sword gate if Kent wanted.
“I lost,” Saintess Val said with an expression that said she was finally coming to terms with her loss.
“Indeed. You lost to the brat and it wasn’t as we all expected it. What happened? “Gate Master Mara asked. “You were in your element, so what changed?”
“Everything changed when he drew his sword. It was like before he drew his sword. He was just an average swordsman; however, the moment it came out of the sheath, his presence began to rise.
And the strange part is that his presence keeps rising through the entire battle. This is my first time encountering something this bizarre.”
The Saintess sang like a bird, not out of shock but out of respect. The lady sitting in front of her wasn’t someone she could disrespect like she did with the elders.
The gate master is a Sword Sage, someone nearing the ranks of a Sword King, so she had to be respected around her.
But she also spoke out of shock, considering as they fought, she seemed to notice Kent kept getting stronger, adapting to her speed, and his stamina never seemed to go down.
“That is indeed strange, but that shouldn’t be enough to harm you. There hard to be something else at play,” She said, remembering the buzzing sound of the golden sword arcs that rained down on the saintess.
“His skills are unusual. Even your sect sword skill was different when he used it. And during the end of the battle, he used a skill that made me become scared for a second there.
Perhaps that was what caused my downfall in the first place.”
She sighs and bends her head, contemplating what this all entails. She lost, and according to the bet, she would become his servant.
This was an insult to her, considering she is a Saintess. She is someone King listens to, so the idea of becoming someone’s servant wasn’t something she wanted. But now, she had to think of her life and where it’s headed.
If only she knew that even as a servant to the son of the universe, she was meant to gain more than she could think of.
But she doesn’t know that. She doesn’t know that the only servant currently under the purple-haired brat has already received a true name and is destined to rise to the peak with him.

Kent picked that bet mainly because of the quest he received right before the duel. It was similar to the one he received for the Spear Saintess.
He just doesn’t understand why the universe was making him do all this, but he was grateful for the end results and the gifts that came along the way.
So now, the first quest was over when he defeated her. The second, however, would be determined based on her next choice.

But while the entire kingdom was flipping over Kent’s win against the Saintess, the man in question was lying on his back while a beautiful damsel bounced up and down on his lap.
Ingrid was riding him like a cowgirl, and from the look on his face, one could tell he was enjoying the ride to his heart’s content.
Ingrid came out of seclusion a few hours ago after spending close to a day just talking to her big sister, Vexthra, and then some absorbing the Ambrosia apple.
She had to spend those hours with her goddess big sister so she could develop a cultivation technique for her. Then, she had to absorb the Ambrosia apple her master gave her.
Her master then had to enter another seclusion, where she would receive her cultivation technique now that she had also finished upgrading her spirit root.
A two-tier upgrade on her side.
In the end, she became happy, the same as her master, who was talking to Vexthra while listening to the moans of her disciple, who had now become much happier than when she entered seclusion.
However, since Neomi was talking to her big sister, the disciple would take over.
Of course, none of them knew Kent had just defeated a saintess, and he would soon be receiving representatives from the King.
Basically, Kent unknowingly started a revolution that will spark many debates for the days, weeks and months to come.
This also means the tigers and demons hiding just out of sight will make their move against him soon.
Kent, however, was now ready to handle something he just couldn’t put off.
Right now, the only thing in his heart was to find out who this mysterious Nara was. He must do that before the auction, considering a lot will happen in the coming days and during the auction.
