Chapter 387: Hidden Reward, World Teleporter
After leaving the last badass words with the Orc King, Kent found himself back inside the Mountain Garden, panting for breath.
He may have acted badass, but the danger he had just escaped from was one that he never wanted to feel again. The Orc King was someone just three steps away from stepping into the Heavenly Ascension realm.
Just as Core Formation is the peak of a medium world, the Heavenly Ascension stage is the peak of a high world, and Kent had just spoken such bold words to a being of that calibre.
That in itself is a badass move that cannot be replicated.
It was like staring into the face of a god and giving him the middle finger
It was the true definition of badass.
However, that doesn’t mean he was in his element while facing such a being. It was more like he had faced danger itself and walked away, sweating profusely.
Thankfully, he was smart enough to use the Chaos Dragon bloodline in its full 8% awakened stage. That was what prevented him from breaking down when the Orc King appeared.
The chaos energy was one that transcended all, so having a bloodline of chaos was enough to make him unafraid in front of such harrowing dangers.
“I don’t want to feel that powerless ever again. Next time, I want to look down on him and step on his face if possible,” Kent said before falling onto his back and bursting into resounding laughter.
“But that was awesome!” he shouted, causing the three little cosmic beings inside the garden with him to roll their eyes.
⟪I suspected something like this would happen,⟫ Akira said to her sisters through telepathy, looking at Kent now basking in the glory of outwitting the Orc King.
⟪Statistically, this was something anybody would feel proud of,⟫ Dori said.
⟪Master is just at the Great Sage stage, yet he went against a Spirit Lord. I say we give him the benefit of the doubt.⟫
⟪I guess you’re right. But we have to admit, that was a close call. Had Sylara not coordinated well with Veydris, that sword attack wouldn’t have connected,⟫ Gaia said, having watched the short yet decisive attacks perfectly coordinated by the three warriors under their master’s command.
Kaizo was the first distraction, meant to make the Orc King realize he wasn’t in any danger, as the attack from Root Transcendent held no real power.
However, the main attack came from Sylara and Veydris.
Sylara has a skill called [Cursed Gaze]. It’s both a soul and mind attack. When used, her red eye shines and unleashes a haunting cry that can shatter the will of anyone.
However, the being she used it against was just too powerful, so it only made him close his eyes. But that was exactly what she was aiming for.
He used her claw as the second distraction in that world. So the moment the Orc King aimed for the claws, she unleashed the Cursed Gaze, and thankfully, he closed his eyes for a second.
But Veydris had already made his move, and that wasn’t a simple sword attack. All his accumulated Void energy went into it, and thankfully, that attack worked.
It was a light wound, but it was enough to let the poison affect him. All Kent had to do was enrage the already enraged Orc.
That was all he needed to do.
Thankfully, Kent knew all the right words to say, and that was where the main attack came into play. The Orc King used his energy, which hastened the effect of the poison.
However, in that split second, he unleashed his energy, and despite Kent cancelling it using [Rule Breaker], it still affected him in ways he never knew possible.
But he didn’t falter and left a mark on the heart of the Orc King, making him regret ever meeting the demi-dragon being who is now being sought in many locations on Fedora.
Thankfully, there were no dragons there, so he went after the wyverns and the like that had some strands of dragon blood in them.
But their loss is deserved, for all of them are his allies and have done more damage to the innocents, so their loss is indeed justified.
⟪Now that he has a taste of such power, I think we all know what follows. He will start training and looking for ways to grow stronger, rising until they notice him.
That would be dangerous, and we wouldn’t want what happened last time to repeat again, right?⟫ Gaia said, and the two sisters nodded.

⟪This time, we will ensure his growth is absolute. There will be no room for errors like in previous times. This time, the tower is ready, and all tools are prepared. Since we three are here, unity has been achieved.
We can now continue what we started billions of years ago with Master, making him rise beyond the strength of this universe and fight the creatures of the Beyond.⟫
⟪Let’s do that.⟫
The three ladies continued to stare at Kent for a while until he lifted himself up and sat down.
“We should do more missions like this one,” Kent smiled and turned to his rewards.
He took out the Dungeon Seeker card upgrader he received and immediately upgraded the dungeons to SS-rank, meaning he now had 12 SS-rank dungeons where he would be facing 12-floor bosses, all at the Sovereign stage.
After that, he retrieved the schematic and handed it to Akira. “You and Dori can play with it.”
When that was settled, he retrieved the last item. It was a rectangular-shaped object with a button and a small screen that displayed a single name on it.
“Fedora.”
Kent quickly appraised it, and the description was one he never saw coming.
⟪Name: World Teleporter⟫
⟪Grade: Mythic (Upgradable)⟫
→ For every world you visit, the World Teleporter will record the coordinates and later help you teleport there.
→ It only requires a strand of your energy to work.
A smile spread across his face as he began planning how to make the Orc King bleed in the years to come.
