Chapter 401: Veyrha, The Twilight Brand (2)
Nara was pulled into the dark clouds, and for six hours, nothing happened until, suddenly, lightning flashed through the sky, and a figure was brought into view.
The moment her silhouette appeared, the true name appeared in Kent’s mind, bringing a smile to his face.
He went ahead and spoke the True Name, “Veyrha, The Twilight Brand.”
That was the only thing he said, for that was the only word he received. It was bizarre, but it worked, since the moment he said that, Nara’s eyes snapped open, and a powerful pressure descended from her body.
The pressure is filled with the sense of pure infernal energy. Kent gazed at the image of the lady and smiled again.
She wielded a long black sword.
She was clad in dark silver and black armor that seemed to contain the very essence of darkness. It was strange, for she was inside darkness, or what appeared to be darkness, yet her armor behaved like the true darkness.
Her eyes were dual in hue—one violet, the other ethereal silver—both possessing their own powers. This, of course, gave her a unique appearance, one that made her look very beautiful in all aspects.
She had long, ink-black hair with strands of silver and violet that shimmered whenever the lightning flashed in the clouds behind her.
Behind her was a circular silver light that seemed tattered yet whole. It was hovering behind her as she gazed down at Kent and the other two night riders staring back at her.
Rumble.
Lightning flashed behind her again, and from the clouds, a silhouette of a colossal wraith appeared, but only for a moment.
At that exact moment, far away in a world very distant from Sonox, a shard snapped off a dark star—one that was several million, if not billions, of light-years away—and fell into this world.
The world was Xyra, the land of the stone demons. It was a high world and not a friendly place to visit.
In that very moment, Kent also heard the familiar sound he always got whenever a quest from the universe arrived.
However, he didn’t let it block his view, for he was watching a rather heavy-chested lady fly toward them.
Ironically, when she landed on the ground, those twin melons bounced. Thankfully, Saden and Uncle Drew weren’t as shameless as he, so they simply looked at the pale beauty who had landed.
He, on the other hand, was focused on the twin melons that accompanied her.
‘Welcome to the family, you two,’ he smiled, then chose to check the message while the Night Riders reunited.
He wasn’t planning on getting into her business now. That can wait for later, for they have nothing but time on their hands.
⟪This is a notice to inform you that there is an upcoming quest that will help your 4th Night Rider complete her awakening. But you must first complete the universe quest you still have pending.⟫
‘Hmm, it wasn’t really a quest,’ Kent sighed.
However, the discovery that Nara hadn’t finished her awakening meant she still had a part of her locked away and wouldn’t be awakened until he received that quest and dealt with it.
‘Is this the universe’s way of telling me I should have started that quest already? But I have two more years. That is plenty of time to get it done, considering I wasn’t lazing around but actually beefing up my strength.’
Kent sighed again.
‘Fine. Since it’s a quest to save an entire world, I must work on that.’
He sighed for the third time.
If only he knew this was for the best. The SSS-Ranked dungeon had a lot to offer, so clearing it was perhaps the best thing he should focus on now.
He looked toward Nara, who was smiling with Uncle Drew and Saden. It was as if she had reunited with a long-lost family, and he couldn’t help but feel happy for her.
Right now, she needed that.

Her traumatic past cannot linger for long. Somehow, she must let go of her past and let her new life take its course.
“Congratulations on your awakening and breakthrough, Nara. It looks like you’re back to your previous self,” Kent said, and Nara smiled.
“This is all thanks to you. I expected many things, but I never expected to suddenly become a Peak Root Transcendent from the Sage stage, awaken terrifying abilities, and…” She looked at the sword in her hand.
“This sword can literally sever the very fabric of reality. If I had this sword back then, I wouldn’t have been reduced to the state I was saved from.” She sighed.
“No need to look down. You and I wouldn’t have met if you had had this sword back then. I mean, I wouldn’t have met Nara, and then met you, so in a way, it all worked out well in the end.” He smiled.
“So what you mean to say is that I was supposed to suffer so today could happen?” she asked with a sarcastic smile and playful humor.
“Was my suffering your joy and happiness, huh?” She moved like a shadow and appeared before him, bringing those two melons closer for inspection.
Kent just smiled and licked his lips, looking at the two boobies practically asking for his attention. Naturally, Uncle Drew, who knew how shameless his young master was, shook his head as a smile appeared on his face.
Saden, who was new to this, gave her leader an excuse and vanished back to Tower City to spend more time with her Soul Sentinel friends and Li Hua.
Things heated up for a few minutes before Kent cleared his throat.
“Maybe we should clear the darkness so the ladies can see and hear us,” Kent said.
For some strange reason, aside from the three of them, when the darkness appeared, the rest of the ladies couldn’t see or hear them.
Nara nodded and waved her sword. The next second, her armor changed into a veiled dress that did nothing to hide her assets.
The darkness too was also cleared.
“Big sister, you have become like them,” Mara pouted when she set her sights on Nara. The ‘them’ she was talking about was Selene and the ladies who had awakened their True Names.
Naturally, they were all beauties now, and when we say beauty, they had become women who could bring down an empire with just a smile.
“No need to sound jealous, Mara. You’ll become one of them soon. I just have to keep you awake for as long as you can hold on,” Kent said, and Mara blushed.
“Then you better hurry up. Some of us can’t wait for long,” Nara said teasingly, making Kent shake his head.
But he took it seriously, and like she said, she wouldn’t have to wait for long.
