Chapter 402: Going Back to the Underworld
“So, how long will you be away this time around?” Kent asked, standing beside Uncle Drew, who was ready to head back to the Underworld.
For now, he is going to the underworld. After he is done with his business there, he will go back to Hell, where he will create more Hell demons.
The battle in Fedora had been a good harvest for him.
He managed to secure 21 beasts that he could turn into Hell demons—17 Transcendents and 4 Ascension-stage beasts.
This meant that if what happened last time were to repeat itself, he would return with 17 Ascension-stage Hell demons and 4 Sovereign-stage Hell demons.
That is a force one could not look down on. Having just a single sovereign under your command will set you at the peak, and he will get 4.
However, Kent knew from Uncle Drew’s recount that the process wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine, so he asked when he would return.
That way, he would know what to do and what not to do in his absence.
“Time down there moves faster than it does here and in the outside world, so I will be gone for a while—probably between 25 to 50 years.
But if the time difference is anything like this place, then I will be gone for three years tops.
However, I won’t be leaving without putting measures in place.
Nara is my second-in-command. She also has the ability to sense and locate the next rider, so while I’m gone, she will continue to increase our ranks.
But of course, if things hasten, then I will return sooner than you think,” Uncle Drew said solemnly. He probably felt guilty about abandoning Kent like this. Though he would be back, it would take a while.
“There’s no need to feel guilty about it, Uncle Drew. Go do what you have to; I’ll be fine.” Kent smiled. “There’s Kaizo and the others, so I’ll be fine.
“You, on the other hand, should be careful. Though you have a connection with an Underworld Queen, you cannot blindly trust her.
But even if she is trustworthy, be careful of the other underworld kings and queens.
Be extra careful, or else I will be forced to pop up down there and straighten some people out,” Uncle Drew smiled at Kent’s words, if only he knew he meant what he said.
“I will be careful, Young Master,” he replied before taking the Underworld Mask and putting it on. “Then, until we meet again.”
He took a step, and a dark portal opened. Without hesitation, he stepped in and was gone. Kent sighed the moment he left.
“I really hope you won’t be putting your life on the line for my sake,” he muttered before vanishing back toward the harem tower.
However, when Uncle Drew entered, a strange-looking portal appeared atop a windy mountain. The surroundings were calm, yet the eeriness in the air was anything but friendly.
The color of the air wasn’t vibrant either—it looked like a grayscale image.
“I will always prepare the real world for this,” he muttered the moment he appeared through the portal.
He looked around him for a few moments before flying away.
Moving at an incredibly fast speed, he headed toward a specific destination. However, it still took him a week to get near his goal.
It was a large black castle.
Everything surrounding it was black—the grass, the trees, the stones used for building the castle, and even the roof.
From afar, it looked majestic, but the danger became apparent when one stepped closer.
Uncle Drew wore his mask and kept flying toward it. When he was just a few meters from the massive gate fencing the building, he stopped.
He looked up ahead and sighed.

At the gate, two large statues of gargoyles stood guard on either side. Uncle Drew halted and looked at them.
Though they were statues, he knew better.
These two gargoyles were among the most dangerous beings in the entire Underworld. Aside from the seven Underworld Kings and six Underworld Queens, these two were also immensely powerful.
Uncle Drew stared at them for a few seconds before speaking to the large gate.
“I am here to visit, my Queen.”
Those were the only words worth saying. The gate swung open, and he was pulled inside before it shut behind him.
He reappeared behind another door, which immediately opened to let him in. The moment he stepped through, he found himself in a vast hall, entirely decorated in black.
Looking ahead, an incredibly beautiful woman sat upon a grand yet majestic throne.
Her pale skin contrasted with her long, flowing dark hair, which cascaded behind her like a midnight waterfall. Her presence was welcoming, yet something about her made her unapproachable.
Naturally, if Kent were present, his attention would have been drawn to her chest area, which was packaged well to make anyone, including him, drool.
But even without that, her dark eyes, hair, and painted dark lips made her a beauty mortals could not comprehend. She was that mesmerizing.
“You are here early,” she spoke suddenly, her sweet voice intoxicating.
“Indeed. My young master and I had an unexpected adventure, which allowed me to gather a good haul faster than anticipated,” Uncle Drew replied, standing his ground despite being in the presence of a demigod.
“This young master of yours sounds interesting. Every time you speak of him… it makes me want to meet him,” Nyx, the Queen of the Ninth Level of the Underworld, said.
“Young Master is indeed a unique individual. You will most certainly like him when you meet him.”
Uncle Drew said with a smile behind his mask, but inwardly he was probably laughing.
He knew that the moment his young master laid eyes on this beauty, not even the gods could stop him from sinking his fangs into her.
So her wanting to meet Kent was her way of serving herself on a silver platter.
“I do hope so… If not, I will be disappointed,” Nyx chuckled—a rare sight—before asking, “How many did you bring this time, and where do you want to go?”
“I brought 21 and would like to go to the Black Castle.”
“Are you sure? That place is one of the most dangerous in the Underworld. While you can’t easily die, you’re still below the Sovereign stage… going there will put your life at great risk.”
“I will manage, my Queen,” Uncle Drew said.
“Very well,” Nyx did not argue. She simply waved her hand, conjuring a portal. “I will bring you out when you are done. But if you face a danger there, I can’t help you.”
Uncle Drew nodded and stepped into the portal. The moment it closed, a sigh escaped her lips.
“Who are you, and why do I feel obligated to help your subordinate?” The image of Kent appeared on a silver orb resting beside her throne.
“I do hope we meet soon, or else I will be forced to send demons to kidnap you.” She sighed again and closed her eyes, entering meditation.
Meanwhile, Uncle Drew appeared in front of a large castle, one that spanned thousands of miles. Inside are some of the most vicious souls in the underworld.
Since he needed souls for his hell demons, he went for where the best and vicious are.
