Meanwhile, Kent and Elaine were staring at each other, making sure they sized each other up. Kent held a small smile on his face.

“I am confident in this generation. I am the best, and I believe in my abilities, so be prepared to become my servant, Kent,” Elaine spoke.

This is the longest and perhaps the most interaction she had ever had with someone who isn’t her master. So to most, this was a rare sight.

“I might be the perfect alchemist in disguise, you know,” Kent smiled.

Elaine looked at him and, as if trying to scoff, she moved away to prepare for the second round, which had already been labeled as Kent and her challenge.

Kent just chuckled and walked away. A few meters away, Sword King Shawn caught up to him, and they walked away together.

Though he clearly showed he was on Kent’s side, or more like he and Kent are familiar with each other, everyone knew he wouldn’t pick a side no matter the outcome of this duel between Kent and Elaine.

So watching them walk away was just a normal sight to many. They thought they just couldn’t understand how someone could be this awesome.

Kent may be a brat, but he has a Sword King on his side. That is enough to tell them he was no ordinary person.

“Are you sure you want to make such a bet?” Sword King Shawn asked Kent, now seated atop the golden carriage.

Though he doesn’t know Kent much, he has helped him, so he was just making sure he knew what he was getting into.

“Me being beside you now will save you, but should you manage to win the duel, I doubt her master will let things go that easily.

And let me tell you, the Pill Saints are a scheming bunch, so I ask again, are you sure you want this duel to go on?”

Kent smiled.

“Having the disciple of a Pill Saint as my servant doesn’t sound too bad.”
