Chapter 504: You Are Kent Madson
“You are Kent Madson.” The moment Kent spoke, almost everyone recognized him.
But why wouldn’t they? He was basically the most wanted fugitive in all four kingdoms, so everyone recognized him.
“Yes, I am Kent Madson,” Kent said to the lady who recognized him.
“Please, why are we here?” Steve, the man who was at death’s door before the tower pulled him away, asked. He walked forward, taking on the role of the leader of the ragtag group.
“You don’t recognize me, huh?” Kent smiled, watching the face of one of the five guards who had come to pick him up in place of his master to examine Lilian’s health when he arrived in the world of Sonox.
Steve narrowed his gaze at Kent, as if trying to recall something. A few seconds later, realization struck him, making him widen his eyes.
“Pill Master Kent,” Steve said, making Kent smile. They knew him as an alchemist, so calling him using such a title was only right.
“I am actually a Grandmaster now, but yeah, I am Kent—the same Kent you remember,” Kent said, causing the former guard to go on his knees.
“Thank you for saving me, Pill Grandmaster Kent,” Steve said, shocking everyone.
Though they knew Kent as someone popular across the four kingdoms, they only saw him as a fugitive thanks to his painting on every mission board.
However, as Steve went down on his knees, three more joined him—the other guards who came to pick Kent up.
“What is going on… Why are you bowing to a fugitive of the four kingdoms?” someone asked, causing Steve to turn and glare at her despite still bleeding.
“You better show your respect, Janet. In case you’re not aware, this is the husband of young Miss Lilian.”
Hearing Steve’s words, everyone’s expression changed. Even Kent, who was feeling some tension from the 120 assembled just a second ago, raised his brow when all their looks turned to ones of shock and reverence.
It was like the idea of him being a fugitive was wiped out instantly.
Kent didn’t know that when he gave Lilian and her mom the large sum of spirit stones to use as a farewell gift to the workers, Lilian had made everyone aware it was from her fiancé.
And while a billion was nothing to him back then, when shared among 136 people, it was enough to secure their futures for thousands of years.
So, while they were mere workers back then, earning only a couple of spirit stones every month, they became rich men and women when they were sent away from the Alderford Mansion.
This made them forever thankful to the Alderfords and Kent.
So, hearing he was the one who changed their lives, they couldn’t help but feel grateful.
“No need for any of this. You are all here because a danger that was aimed at me was redirected toward you. I am sorry for that.
To prevent further danger to your lives, I brought you here to stay for now. I will handle the threat on the outside, and when I deem everything safe, you can leave and live your lives freely again.”
Kent didn’t lie to them. This was indeed his doing for the reason they were in danger was because the Hand want to make him tick.
So he told them the truth. However, he was surprised to see them not show any sign of hostility when they found out he was the cause of their predicament.
“Pill Grandmaster Kent, if you don’t mind me asking a question,” Steve asked, looking up at Kent.
“Go ahead—and you can just call me Kent.”
“I don’t think I can. You are my young miss’s husband. Calling you by your first name feels disrespectful, so allow me to call you Young Master Kent if you insist,” Steve said, and almost everyone there nodded in agreement.
“Whatever makes you happy. In any case, ask your question,” Kent said, maintaining his calm expression.
“Is the young miss with you? And how is she faring?” Steve asked.
“She is fine. She is here with her mother, but they are both in seclusion, cultivating,” Kent responded. Steve and the others sighed in relief upon hearing that Lilian and her mother were safe.

Though they no longer worked for them, they were happy knowing their benefactors were living well, despite their entire family having been razed to the ground.
“Since the young miss is here, I’ve decided not to live here again. I will resume my service to the young miss,” Steve declared with unwavering determination.
“You really don’t have to. Your young miss is in no danger, and while you’d be showing your loyalty by choosing to serve her again, you should live your life to the fullest.
That was what she wanted for all of you when she let you go after the attack,” Kent said—but he could tell the man wouldn’t listen to him.
“I don’t have any life on the outside anyway. I spent my entire life serving in the Alderford Mansion, and now that I can again, I won’t hesitate. Please allow me to have this,” Steve said, almost pleading.
Kent stared at him for a few seconds before a sigh escaped his lips.
“Fine. However, you cannot leave after you choose to stay. So, all those who want to stay and continue serving your young miss, step to the left.” Every last one of them was on the left in under a second.
Kent was taken aback. However, what he wasn’t aware of was that all these people had spent almost their entire lives serving Lilian’s family.
So, when they were sent away, making a living for themselves became something they struggled with.
Now, given a second chance, they would rather stay in this lush city than go back out there. Who wouldn’t want to live in such a place anyway?
“I will be leaving now. My assistants will come to help you settle in. If you need anything or have anyone you’d like to bring here, let them know, and they’ll make it happen.
Basically, listen to what they say, and you’ll be fine. I’ll return when I’m done with my business.”
Kent vanished before any of them could thank him and appeared in the mountain garden, where Vexthra and the three lolis stood, gazing at the 120 new residents in the tower city.
⟪I scanned their memories, Master. None of them holds any animosity toward you. They truly want to serve⟫, Dori said to Kent the moment he appeared in the garden.
“Thank you, Dori,” he said, walking toward Vexthra.
