Chapter 505: Qi’lan Crystal
“Sorry for cutting our outing short,” Kent said, holding Vexthra’s waist as he pulled her closer to him. He leaned in and kissed her lips.

“It’s nothing. You have something important to deal with, and like I said, I don’t want to stand in the way of your business. So finish it quickly and get back here.

I still have two days to spend on the outside, and I won’t allow some pest to get in the way of that.” Vexthra wrapped her arm around Kent’s neck as she kissed him.

⟪Ahem… Some of us are underage, so you might want to cut the public display of affection short⟫, Gaia said, causing Vexthra to break the kiss with red cheeks.

Though she was a goddess, getting embarrassed wasn’t beyond her, especially when it came to matters of the heart.

Kent turned and looked at Gaia, who was grinning at him.

“You sly demon loli.”

Kent kissed Vexthra one last time before looking toward the city.

“Gaia, ensure they have everything they want. They are now residents here, and since they are willing to serve, let them. Also, add them to the servant tower.” Kent gave Gaia her assignment and then turned to Akira.

Since they will be living there forever, they must contribute to Kent’s strength. Since he is making them stay for free, the stats they offer him will go a long way.

“They don’t really have much use here, so help them with their spirit roots and cultivation techniques. If possible, give them good classes. Once I bind the dungeons to the tower, they will have a way to train more effectively.

Of course, I’ll pay for your service when I get money, so put it on my tab.”

⟪Okay, master. But don’t hold your tab for too long, or I’ll be pissed—and you won’t like me when I’m pissed off⟫

“I can already picture a small face like that of a monkey in a painting,” Kent laughed, causing Akira to shrug and take out a paintbrush and a scroll.

She set it down and started painting. Kent looked at all this with a puzzled expression.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“She is creating a cultivation realm where people can enter and cultivate. It’s like one of those secret domains where you can fight over ancient cultivation techniques and rare treasures or pass trials to obtain.

Only this time, she is creating them uniquely for the residents in the tower.”

Vexthra explained, staring at Akira’s painting, which was actually her weaving. It was one of the many ways she weaves.

“Okay, I guess,” Kent said, then turned to Dori.

“Help them come to terms with their new world and life.” Dori nodded.

“Then I will be leaving for now.” He waved goodbye and vanished, appearing in the Legion Tower where Zareth, alongside Kaizo, Sylara, Vaelros, Veydris, Saden, and the three Soul Sentinels, were waiting for him.

“How was your mission?” Kent asked.

“We have done eight dungeons before you called,” Zareth responded.

“Then, how about unlocking the skill? Have you made some progress?”

“Yes. I awakened one skill after clearing six dungeons. However, just that one is enough, considering it’s already too much to fathom,” Zareth replied, looking rather enthusiastic.

The main reason Kent gave them the mission to clear the dungeons was so he could gather enough material to conduct a ritual that would unlock some of the skills that once belonged to the World Serpent.

“I also managed to strengthen the Coil Dragon Spirit and the Alabaster Poison Serpent Spirit, so from now on, I can summon the two for one hour every day.

Their strengths have also reached a level I can’t estimate yet.

But I am confident that the time will be extended further when we are done with all twelve dungeons,” Zareth added, and Kent nodded.

“Looks like you gained a lot.” Kent turned to the rest of his undead and asked,

“How about you guys? Did you gain something?”

“It’s about the battle experience for me, so while I didn’t earn anything, I most certainly had fun punching some bastards,” Kaizo said, as usual, beating his chest.

Kent could tell Kaizo had indeed had fun. This made him realize he shouldn’t let them laze around in the tower if he had pending missions. They seem to enjoy doing missions.

“I also had fun, and I managed to get the hearts of some powerful creatures. I just want to keep going since the dungeons aren’t as simple as we thought.

By the time we are done, I am sure I will be a step closer to having a breakthrough through” Vaelros, the chain brute fighter, said.

Sylara was next to speak, “Though I managed to get gallons of blood, I realized fighting inside the dungeon is much more entertaining and dangerous.

However, it wasn’t the kind of danger you run from. I had fun, and I would love to keep going.” Sylara wasn’t far behind with her own experience.

Though Kent didn’t know if she was being serious about enjoying the danger, not that he expected anything less from an undead like Sylara, who enjoys torture more than a game of chess.

Saden and the three Soul Sentinels clearly appeared to want to join them, but Kent would not give them an answer for now. They had a new mission, and that must be handled first.

“Well, I don’t plan on keeping you for long. It seems your mission is going quite well, so I’ll make this short.” Kent retrieved six token tablets from his space ring and handed them out.

Zareth, Kaizo, Sylara, and Vaelros each got one, while Saden and Nyxira got one, and the other two Soul Sentinels, Kael and Kaelion, also received one.

“Inside each crystal is a list of names and images bearing their real-time locations. Your mission is simple: locate them and eliminate every last name on the list.”

The command was simple, yet the impact would be felt by everyone.

Kaizo and the rest of his teammates nodded at Kent’s words. They knew he wouldn’t give them this mission if it wasn’t of the utmost importance.

“Also, read their thoughts whenever you kill them. I want to connect the dots from them. We will eradicate them from the root this time, not just kill the branches.”

“Okay, Master.”

“Before we leave, there is something we have for you.” Kaizo retrieved a head-sized black crystal that immediately filled the space with thick spiritual qi.

“We found it when we defeated a certain floor boss.” Kent received the crystal and appraised it. What he saw made his eyes widen.

⟪Name: Qi’lan Crystal⟫

→ A crystal created from the core of a powerful spirit beast.

→ Its use is to absorb the spiritual qi in the air and purify it to its highest concentration.

→ Every last strand of energy absorbed from it is the purest form it can be.

[Current Capacity: 12,000,000/670,000,000 Spiritual Qi]

“Damn…”
