Chapter 511: The Legion of Eternal Wrath (2)
“Personally, I think he is cooler than the rest,” Kaizo said, looking toward the fifth portal. From within, a man with a lion-like head appeared. He had a broad, intimidating face with eyes filled with primal intensity.

His face was covered in thick fur, giving him a fierce and rugged look, with a wide mouth filled with razor-sharp teeth.

His mane was a dark, tangled mess of black fur that ran down his back and across his chest. Standing at 7 feet tall, his body was large and muscular, with broad shoulders and thick limbs.

He wore minimal armour—a few leather straps across his chest and waist, and fur pelts draped over his shoulders.

His claws were long and sharp, his arms covered in tribal tattoos, each marking having a distinct meaning. His weapon was his clawed fists, powerful enough to tear through stone.

“Just watch him,” Kaizo gestured forward as the lion-headed man raised his hand, and a gate opened. From within, five Peak Ascension Stage Hellhounds, each towering over 3 meters, appeared standing behind him.

“For some reason, he can summon the creatures from the floors below his own. I think he is some kind of summoner that can only summon beasts from the dungeon he rules.”

Kent nodded, staring at the lion’s head with a complicated look. So far, he didn’t know where the feeling was coming from, but a sense of familiarity could be felt between him and the beings coming from the portals.

He couldn’t say he felt the same for the rest of his undead, but he did with Gaia, Dori, and Akira.

Of course, this brought many questions, but he didn’t have much time, considering the only reason he wasn’t in a fight yet was that the hunter was still in shock.

He pocketed all questions and could only wait until after the battle…

Then the sixth appeared.

This time, it was a lady.

A tall, slender woman walked out through the portal, holding a staff that needed no description to know she was a necromancer.

The hunter who saw her appear through the portal narrowed her gaze, considering their energies were in sync. The same necrotic energy every necromancer has was reeking from her like perfume.

She wore a dark, flowing robe made of shifting shadows and ethereal fabric that seemed to ripple with dark energy. Her long black hair cascaded like a waterfall.

Naturally, a lady was supposed to have sharp features, and she did. Her facial features were pronounced and perfectly sculpted.

However, she had a tattoo on her face, giving her a skull look. This was the only thing about her that made her look like Nykali, the third to appear from the portal.

Still, judging by her demeanour, it was plain to see she had some firepower in her. Instead of summoning undead, her staff morphed into a sword, which she pointed at the fourteen abominations.

“She’s also creepy. Might want to avoid her at all costs,” Kaizo said. He clearly needed therapy for whatever he went through inside the dungeon.

Naturally, Zareth was the cause of all this. Thanks to Kaizo’s unyielding personality, he went into every battle first, which, at every turn, ended badly for the lightning brute fighter.

So while he still had bad memories from his time inside the dungeon, the others were just standing there calmly. Of course, Kent didn’t know that so that he couldn’t get justice for Kaizo.

Turning from the creepy necromancer lady, they focused on the seventh to come through the portal.

The seventh being was massive and bulky, with a body made of dense muscle and rock-like skin that gave him an almost stone-like appearance.

His body was partially armoured with large, jagged rocks and iron plates fastened with leather straps.

He had short, thick black hair with some strands of grey, and a broad orcish face with deep-set eyes and a heavily scarred, stone-like brow.

“This is the second orc we’ve faced, and just like the chieftain, he’s also very powerful. However, I’ll be more awesome than he is once I become an Ascension Stage expert.

The only thing cool about him is that he is a Barbarian Orc”

“Sure,” Kent said with a smile. Kaizo clearly needed therapy.

The eighth to appear was, surprisingly, a human—or more accurately, his humanoid form was perfect, giving him a flawless human appearance.

He had short, dark hair with the same hue as his eyes. His form was slender, with lean yet sculpted muscle. However, while he looked human, his eyes betrayed him.

His eyes were those of a beast—a panther, to be precise.

He was a panther in perfect human form, and judging by the number of daggers hoisted on his belt strap and other parts of his body, he was clearly an assassin of some kind.

Many years ago, these eight were part of the Eternal Wrath Legion who heeded the call of the Chaos Dragon and travelled through time, appearing when the universe was on the brink of destruction.

Painfully, none of them knew that—including Kent, who could only sense the familiarity but not the reason behind it.

However, while they had no idea what they once did, or perhaps would do, considering the concept of time was a complicated subject, they once again heeded the call of their master.

Standing now, facing the fourteen abominations, the look of determination was the only thing in their eyes.

Kent, who now knew his chance to see how much he had grown had arrived, looked at the hunter and smiled.

“It’s between you and me now.” Without even giving her a chance to reply, he blinked and appeared before her, landing a powerful punch.

The hunter blocked by crossing her arms over her chest. The force from the punch vibrated through her arms, sending her flying back.

Kent turned to his lineup of twelve warriors. “Have fun.”

With that, he jumped back into the battle as he and the hunter clashed more fiercely. Now that he had become several times stronger, he wanted to see how well he would fare against a Core Formation expert.

His sword had not appeared yet—Kent was testing his strength, so his fists were the weapon for now.

From how he was devastating the hunter, it was safe to say his strength had already reached a level he couldn’t fully comprehend yet.
