Chapter 520: Velyra, Priestess of the Bloodvein Tribe [Bonus]
The design of the throne room wasn’t too lavish, but it wasn’t too ugly. One could say they used what they had and made something grand out of it.

Kent was seated in a stone chair that looked and felt more comfortable than one could expect. His seat was on the left side of the Tribe Chief.

The elders were on the right, showing the hierarchy and power disparity.

A few minutes after they arrived, the large door opened again, allowing a lady to enter.

From where Kent was seated, he saw the lady with red skin—just like the rest of the Bloodveins—enter the throne room with careful steps.

She was clad in a white gown that, considering its bagginess, ensured none of her features were on display.

Per her dressing, it was no coincidence she was called Priestess.

She had long, dark silver hair that fell down her back, red pupils that highlighted her Bloodvein heritage, and sharp facial features that made her rather cute for someone dressed in baggy clothes.

This time, Kent used his Enchanted Eyes to see her status page and perhaps glean a few hidden details about her.

Unfortunately for him, what he wanted to see and what he was given weren’t really much.

⟦Name: Velyra Bloodseer⟧

⟦Age: 203⟧

⟦Cultivation: Peak Core Formation (3/7)⟧

⟦Class: Priestess⟧

⟦Sub-class: Blood Swordsman⟧

→ Velyra is the only daughter of the Tribe Chief of the Bloodveins. She is also the most cherished princess of the Bloodveins.

→ They hold her in high esteem, so while using your eye to spy on her may seem harmless, you might want to ask her permission first.

‘What in the world?’ Kent was taken aback, but he acted composedly, considering this was the first time this had happened. He didn’t know how it happened, but he didn’t panic.

‘Tower. What just happened?’

⟪Not sure, but there is one possibility. The lady you are spying on is someone loved by the universe. If that is the case, then it’s clear the universe doesn’t want you peeking into her business.⟫

‘I see. I only hope she wasn’t made aware.’ Kent sighed in his heart, then returned his gaze to the lady who, for a moment there, smiled—or perhaps smirked—at Kent, making the Chaos Dragon wonder if she knew.

‘So what if she knew? I doubt she will out me to her pops.’ Thankfully, nothing like that happened as the lady walked to the right side of her father and sat down.

“This is the Priestess of the Bloodvein Tribe and also my daughter, Velyra,” Tribe Chief Malthar said, causing Kent to nod.

“Nice meeting you, Priestess Velyra.” He had to act his part, considering this was the only chance he would have to convince the Bloodvein Tribe they shouldn’t be hostile toward him.

His mission ends in 15 days, so he needed all the cooperation he could get to see it through.

“I am Kent Madson.” Kent introduced himself…

“I know,” Velyra said, looking strangely at Kent. This, of course, made the dragon narrow his eyes at the lady.

‘Why does it feel like she can see right through me?’ Kent wondered, a sudden unease creeping into his spine.

“You are Kent Madson, a man with many identities. Perhaps you would like me to call you Jest. Or do you prefer Chaos instead?”

This time, Kent moved in his chair, and instead of smiling, a frown appeared on his face.

“Who are you?” he asked, not liking where any of this was going at all.

“I am a nobody. Just a lone Priestess of the Bloodvein Tribe, staunch followers of the Mother of Killers, Shara.” She smiled as she said that.

“Then how did you know all this stuff about me?” Kent asked.

“You told me,” Velyra answered, still maintaining her smile.

“I did no such thing. Today is my first time meeting you, and I don’t forget faces—especially the faces of beautiful women.” Kent cut his words short, knowing he wasn’t supposed to extend his sentence that far.

Unfortunately for him, he said the major words already…

Velyra smiled upon hearing that.

“To you, this is our first time meeting. But to me, it’s our second,” she sighed. “Don’t worry, I and all who heard what I said will forget it in the next 30 minutes.

However, before that, I would like you to tell me more about the Mother of Killers.”

Kent didn’t want to show it, but hearing that she and the elders would forget his other identities calmed his heart. Hearing his identity from a stranger wasn’t pleasant at all.

Now, he could get back to his mission, but he became more careful around the Priestess, who was still giving him the creeps.

“You want to hear more about the Mother of Killers? Does that mean you believe I am her envoy?” Kent asked.

“I do.”

The elders and the Tribe Chief, who heard what she said, turned and looked at Kent, this time with calm expressions. The hostile looks were wiped away, replaced with more considerate ones.

They even showed signs of panic, considering they didn’t exactly handle him like the egg he is when they first met.

“Don’t worry, guys. I don’t hold grudges,” Kent said with a smile. His groove returned, though the Priestess was still giving him the creeps.

“As for the Mother of Killers, she is indeed reborn and currently in seclusion, training. Of course, she doesn’t know her true identity yet, but she bears the names Shara and Rakshasa.

She doesn’t know I’m here, for I came under someone else’s order. I can’t talk about the person, but they want me to save your kind simply because you truly believe in the Mother of Killers.

That is why I am here. I am here to help save the followers of Shara from a great calamity.”

Kent knew he couldn’t lie in front of the lady for unknown reasons, and he was right.

She had a unique ability that allowed her to know if someone was lying. This made Kent choose to tell the truth—but with limited information.

He wouldn’t want what happened to Vexthra to happen here. Their knowing too much about forbidden things isn’t something he wants to entertain.

He already had enough on his plate to worry about the karmic backlash of an entire race.

“I believe you,” Velyra said. “But I want to ask—what makes you think you have what it takes to save us from our enemies?”

“Let’s just say wherever I go, chaos follows,” Kent said with a wink.
