Chapter 521: Situation Of the Bloodvein Tribe
There was one thing to believe what Kent said, and another for the elders and the tribe chief to trust him with the lives of their tribe.

They just can’t do that despite their priestess saying Kent is indeed the envoy of their god.

However, Kent didn’t really care about that. His mission ends in 15 days, and because of that, he knew he must get his groove on before it was too late.

“I can’t beat my chest and say my being here will solve all your problems. That would just be me being stupid. However, I can say I will do my best to help you.

I can also say that with me here, your tribe won’t fall, not without putting up a good fight. So instead of looking down on me, let’s say for a moment you all see me as someone worthy to help your tribe.

Wouldn’t you want to take me then seriously?”

Kent was only thankful they didn’t become hostile toward him. He knew this was good progress and could be used to his advantage.

The tribe elders and chief were all stronger than him, but he knew he could help them face their enemies if and when it came down to it.

“Father, I think we should believe him,” Velyra said after hearing what Kent said. “I mean, what do we have to lose anyway? The alliance surpasses us in both numbers and strength.

Though you are the strongest in this region, I doubt they care too much about that. This can only mean they are confident in stopping you and have even put in measures for the rest of us.

So, from the way I see it, why don’t we have a secret weapon of our own? Kent could be that secret weapon.

You saw something in him, which was why you brought him back instead of killing him like you always do. So why not put some trust in him?”

Both the elders and the tribe chief couldn’t deny Velyra’s words. The enemy clearly didn’t place them in their sights anymore, so they wouldn’t lose anything by making Kent their secret weapon.

As for Kent, being referred to as a secret weapon only made him smile. But he knew the mission took priority here, so he had to take his chance and get the job done.

“Tell us what you want,” Tribe Chief Malthar said, staring at Kent.

“Before I say what I want, what can you tell me about this alliance? I want to know the odds I’ve signed up to go against and, if possible, include all the people that are on the same level as you and the three elders.”

Kent wanted nothing more than to know the enemy, which, according to the art of warfare, knowing one’s enemy is half the battle won.

“In this region, there are three major tribes: the Bloodvein, which is us; the Dreadclaw, located in the East; and the Soulshroud tribe, which is in the North.

A month ago, we were three major clans ruling over four minor clans, and we had good relationships with each other. However, everything changed when we started losing contact with our men on the outside.

It turns out the two tribes had secretly formed an alliance and had been plotting against us for years. They only bared their fangs a month ago.

Things escalated quickly when they started attacking our businesses and everything owned by our tribe. They weren’t this hostile all these years, and while we were the strongest, we never tried to suppress them.

Now, they are openly hostile toward us, and because of that, we have to seal our borders and stay alert. In a week, they will attack our domain, and while I would love to say we have what it takes to take them on, I don’t have much confidence this time.

The reason being, just like we have me and three tribe elders, they also have their own peak powerhouses.

And I don’t know if you’re aware, but once someone forms their Core at the core formation stage, which shows they are at the peak of their cultivation, there are another seven stages inside the core formation stage alone.

The core that was forming has seven stages. So, even at the core formation stage, this core must undergo seven evolutions, each bigger than the last.

Every evolution makes one’s strength grow by leaps and bounds.

So, two people at the same stage but with different evolution stages cannot be measured using the same strength scale. It is just not possible.

“I am at the 5th evolution, with the elders currently at the 4th. This also applies to the other tribes. They all have the same setup as us.”

“Then what makes your tribe the strongest? If what you just said is true, then this means that your strengths were equally matched even before the alliance, right?” Kent asked.

Though he didn’t truly understand the power dynamics in the Dead Region, he had picked up on some details. It appeared the tribes all have the same strength level, so just how is one stronger than the other two?

“It’s true we have the same power level. However, that is just in terms of cultivation. The only reason we are the strongest is because of our understanding of the Chaos Qi.

I know you are already aware of this region’s unique energy, and I’m sure you understand it.

We, the Bloodveins, have a natural affinity for Chaos Qi, and because of that, we are naturally stronger. I have already reached the peak of comprehension in this world, which is the Very High level.

The other tribe chiefs are at the High stage, which is why we are the strongest. However, the fact that they declared war on us shows that they are confident and don’t care about me or my strength at all.

We also suspect they may have some secret weapon that gave them the confidence to match us.”

Tribe Chief Malthar sighed. He didn’t want to admit it, but he was afraid, like the rest of his tribe. They all knew that in a week, they would have to fight a great battle.

“This is indeed a unique situation. However, I don’t think you should worry too much. I have some unique skill sets that will allow me to gather more information on them and perhaps make a plan to stop them.” Kent said with a smile

“What do you need?” Velyra asked, hearing what Kent said.
