Chapter 525: Learning about the Alliance [Bonus]
After helping Velyra break through in her Chaos Qi comprehension, Kent left the pool and used his alchemy flames to dry himself, then climbed back to the house.

He had already achieved his objective, so the next thing left for him to do was to start his mission, which, if his calculations were right, would end in under two weeks.

Velyra joined him a few minutes later, wearing a thankful gaze.

“Once again, thank you for helping me,” she said, but Kent just smiled. It wasn’t much of a big deal anyway, so he could only let her have her moment.

He had already received his reward, which he planned to use right after the discussion he was about to have with her.

“If you don’t mind me asking, how strong are the two major tribes coming after your tribe?” Kent asked.

Velyra sat down and took a deep sigh.

“The Dreadclaw Tribe are a tribe of demihumans. They have a bloodline of beasts, so despite their human nature, the majority of their bodies are made of beastly features.

Their most notable and perhaps strongest feature is their claws. They have an affinity for the lightning element, just like how we do with the blood element.

However, some have the ability to transform into a full beast mode. That is especially true for the tribe chief and his bloodline.

They are more like royalty, and thanks to the chaos energy in the air, they are much more powerful than one might think.

However, they still pale in comparison to the Soulshroud Tribe.

The Soulshroud Tribe are descended from the Soulbinders, an ancient race that made pacts with the spirits of the dead to gain control over the power of souls.

Their bloodline allows them to see, hear, and interact with spirits, as well as control them and even draw on their power for strength.

I don’t know if you have soul refiners in your world, but the Soulshroud Tribe is famous for its refinement. It can refine souls into weapons and even craft them into useful skills.

They are the most feared when it comes to soul arts. They even have someone in the tribe who has refined a powerful weapon for the tribe’s chief, allowing him to be just a step below Father.

I don’t know how we’re going to face them, but from their strength alone, I don’t see a path beyond our doom.” She sighed again, looking into the distance, watching the activities going on below.

“Sounds like these two are my target this time. With the big fishes these two tribes taken care of, can your tribe finish the job?” Kent asked.

“Even if one of them is taken care of, we can handle the others. As for the minor clans, we don’t pay much attention to them, considering they are much weaker than the major ones.

“In that case, I will head to the Dreadclaw Tribe. Something tells me they will be more of a threat than the Soulshrouds,” Kent smiled.

He was confident in his ability to render the Soulshroud army useless, especially since he had just received the means to do so.

“Are you sure about that? The Dreadclaw Tribe is full of powerful demihumans. I know this because, while the Soulshroud Tribe is scary, their physical form is not that strong.

So if you want to do something to weaken them, you might want to start there.”

Kent laughed, knowing she was right in that aspect. If he needed to weaken them, he could just visit the race that didn’t have much resistance to physical attacks.

She knew Kent was powerful after spending time training with him inside the pool, so despite his weaker cultivation base, she knew she could trust him.

But going to a tribe full of brutes didn’t look too good for him, especially when the tribe chief of the Dreadclaw Tribe was more monstrous than one could compare.

“Call it a gut feeling, but I sense the Soulshroud Tribe won’t pose much of a threat in future battles.

I have plans to handle them, so I will first go to the Dreadclaw Tribe. They are the priority here.”

Kent didn’t even bother explaining further, knowing he would show what he had planned later.

“When are you leaving, then?” Velyra asked.

In response, Kent stood up and began walking toward the entrance. “I plan on ending the mission faster so I can relax. This means I must leave now. But before that, I must first see your father and elders.”

“Do you need help?” Velyra asked, but Kent shook his head. His plan didn’t need much interference from anyone, regardless of their strength. He had to work on his own if he wanted to finish faster.

“Thanks for the offer, but I must do this alone.” Velyra expected that answer, so she didn’t hold it against him.

“Then let’s go see Father. I have a feeling they are expecting you.” Kent and Velyra left and soon entered the throne room, where the tribe chief and the three elders were waiting for him.

“How was your training?” Tribe Chief Malthar asked.

“It went better than I expected. Thank you for letting me train here,” Kent responded, and the tribe chief nodded. He had nothing to lose either way.

They would battle in the coming days, with or without Kent’s presence. This meant they were prepared for all outcomes.

Although Kent was regarded as their god’s envoy, the tribe did not place much hope in him.

This did not reflect a lack of faith in their god, but rather an acknowledgment that their god had not personally sent Kent, prompting them to rely on their own strength and teachings.

“So, what is your plan now that you are done training?” Elder Farra asked.

“I plan on going to the Dreadclaw Tribe to handle a few issues there. I was told they are one of the major tribes here, and since they are in cohort with the Soulshroud Tribe, I will visit them first.”

The elders and the tribe chief exchanged glances but made no further comments. Shortly afterwards, Kent departed from the Bloodvein Tribe and headed east toward the territory of the Dreadclaw Clan.
