Chapter 526: Skill Modification Token
When Kent left, the tribe elders turned to Velyra.

“What do you think? Does he have the means to help us?” Elder Ureth, the brute among the elders, asked.

“I don’t know if he can, but I know he will try,” Velyra answered with a strange expression. This caused the elders to stare at each other.

“You sound like you’ve known him for years. Don’t tell me spending a few days with him has softened your heart,” Tribe Chief Malthar said with a smile.

“Be serious, Father,” Velyra smiled. “I don’t know who he is or what he is, but this young man has proven to me that there are those beyond talented. Can you believe he touched the wall in the Chaos Pool?”

“WHAT?”

Both the tribe chief and the elders exclaimed upon hearing what Velyra said. “Did you just say he touched the wall?” Elder Zarka asked, looking visibly shocked.

“Yes. I saw him move through to the end of the pool, and it happened in less than a day after he stepped inside the pool.”

“Does that mean he is on the same level as the Tribe Chief?” Elder Farra asked. In the entire Bloodvein Tribe, only the tribe chief had managed to get to the other end of the Chaos Pool.

Nobody else had managed to do that, so hearing Kent had done the impossible made them question if he had indeed reached the level of the tribe chief.

“No. He is still at the Medium Level. However, the same cannot be said for me.” Velyra unleashed her Chaos Qi, causing the elders and the tribe chief to jump to their feet.

“How?” they all asked.

They considered Velyra a genius among geniuses; however, even with her talent, they knew she wouldn’t be able to reach the ‘Very High’ level for at least another ten years. So the sudden jump to that stage took them aback.

“Kent helped me. I don’t know how, but he used his energy to open channels in my body, allowing me to channel the Chaos Qi through those pathways.

It was like a unique cultivation method made for Chaos Qi cultivation. It took him just a few hours to help me step into the ‘Very High’ stage.”

The elders could only look at Velyra with expressions of both happiness and shock. They were happy for her, knowing that with her breakthrough, they had gained yet another powerhouse who could do more than her previous self.

Velyra saw their expressions and smiled.

“This is why we don’t know much about him, but I believe we can trust him. Now, we can only prepare and hope for good news from him,” she added.

The elders and her father nodded. They trusted the priestesses of their race, so they must trust her words and hope for the best.

Meanwhile, Kent, who had caused the elders and the tribe chief great shock, was now speeding toward the eastern part of the Dead Region.

His wings were now much more sturdy and robust, allowing him to move at great speed through the air. His focus now was to infiltrate the Dreadclaw Tribe and work his magic there.

He planned to find out what they were hiding and whether they possessed something that gave them the confidence to challenge the Bloodvein Tribe.

Kent knew he could not wage war on them alone, so he had to plan well and hope the execution worked.

“Now would be the best time to check how useful my reward from the quest is,” he said, accessing the tower interface and opening the reward panel.

Inside, he saw the reward:

⟪Name: Skill Modification Token⟫

→ You can modify any skill of your choice and either edit already given abilities or add new ones.

→ The usefulness of the new ability will depend on how broad your imagination is.

“This is a good item. The question now is, which of my skills should I modify?” he thought deeply as he glided through the clouds, hiding behind the misty gases.

“Both the Blink and 72 String Sovereign Strike are at the Heaven grade, and it’s not like I readily need them, considering my speed now can rival the 5,000 meters I can Blink, and my sword techniques are also robust.

Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".

Meaning I have to choose between Elemental Lord, which is also a Heaven grade skill, and the Soul Mapping Arts. Right now, I have the highest chance of gaining more from soul skills, so I’ll go with the Soul Mapping Arts.”

Kent decided, already knowing what to add to the Soul Mapping Arts. At the moment, it had three abilities.

[Soul Brand] allows him to brand any soul and keep them within a 10-mile radius of himself.

Then there’s [Soul Lock], a skill that lets him lock a 100-meter radius around him. Those caught within this confinement cannot leave.

Of course, those with higher soul cultivation can escape. But those below Kent’s soul cultivation would have their souls extinguished if they tried to leave.

Then there’s the last one, [Soul Bomb]. This allows him to go further with the Soul Brand. Those he imprints on can have their brand transformed into a bomb that he can detonate at will.

This only works on souls below Kent’s cultivation stage. This means those below the Tier 11 stage are at risk of having their souls destroyed with a snap of his fingers.

He had already used it multiple times, but this time, he wanted to take it a step further.

If possible, he wanted to see if he could make the skill so powerful that even those at the same level as him—but weaker in soul essence—could be affected.

Kent knew the only way to keep up with his enemies was to have abilities that transcended common sense. If possible, he would love to ensure his enemies cried blood when facing him.

“If I add one more ability to it, wouldn’t that be wonderful?” Kent muttered.

“Since I don’t have a soul cultivation path yet, I can only use this skill to the best of my abilities.” Kent decided to go ahead and use the Skill Modification Token on the Soul Mapping Arts skill.

The moment he chose the skill, a prompt appeared that made him smile.
