Chapter 594: Scary Abilities
“Should we stop her?” Selene asked, looking in the direction where Velyra and the demon were battling.
“Nope. Let her continue. I mean, it doesn’t look like the demon will be dying anytime soon,” Vari said, a smile on her lips. “She is healing the demon and hurting him at the same time. Even if we allow them to fight for the next two weeks, he will never die.”
The ladies couldn’t argue with that.
The battle had been going on for the past five hours, but within those five hours, the demon never even came close to hurting Velyra.
It was like when the shadows had been sealed, he lost his ability to fight back. But as a demon of his status, that should not be a factor in his inability to fight back.
He was a Core Formation expert who had completed six core evolutions. If anything, he should be dominating Velyra by now.
However, pitifully lying on the ground and now struggling to get back up was the demon whose state had become one of being tied up and asking an entire tribe to flog him.
His shirt was drenched purple due to his blood spilling every time Velyra attacked.
His body was littered with wounds, making him look even more pitiful than he should have been. Had the eight ladies ganged up on him like Vexthra wanted them to, perhaps he would have lost his mind by now.
Of course, while Velyra was dominating him using her abilities, part of the reason Velyra was having that much dominance was the demon’s fear when he found out he wasn’t healing as he should.
This trait was only awakened in Bloodvein or any blood type race that had awakened their true bloodline. Attacks from them that involve blood cannot be healed easily.
This gave Velyra the answer she needed when she saw the fear in the demon’s eye.
Her new race, the Hemalune bloodline, was something even demons with greater regeneration abilities feared.
So she was dominating him, hurting him in more places than he could survive, and this was thanks to her ability to heal anyone bleeding.
This allowed her to heal the demon and then hurt him, repeating the process over and over again.
If the demon is bleeding, she could use the same blood to heal him.
This made her the perfect torture artist. She could torture a person for all eternity simply because, with her abilities, she could keep them alive for who knows how long.
Fifteen hours later, the demon was still not dead, but Velyra also wasn’t done with her attacks.
In fact, the battle only grew more chaotic as she vented all her pain, imbuing it into her attacks and raining it down on the pitiful demon.
“I am not sympathetic to such a demon, but I think we should stop her. I mean, dying is one thing, but not dying yet enduring this much pain—it might affect his brain.
And we don’t want that. Kent needs him to speak and be able to recall things. If he gets amnesia from this torture, I say it will be a waste,” Ingrid said, but her sisters, especially Elaine, Lani, and Neomi, smirked.
“I say we give her another ten hours. That will be enough for the pain she felt when he discovered her family and people were poisoned and had less than a decade to live.
Letting her vent will help her break free of her inner demons before it’s too late,” Lani said, and Elaine continued.
“Even if Velyra overdoes it and he dies, I can bring him back. My control over death is strong enough to get him back if his soul hasn’t crossed over to the other side. And that usually takes fifteen minutes to happen.
But for his memories, even if he loses them, Zaila can fix it. So, say the only thing keeping Velyra from killing him is so Kent can do it himself.”
Ingrid, who tried to reason with her sisters, was left bewildered. It was like looking at a bunch of crazy bitches who would torture anyone for their man.
Even the innocent Elaine was not innocent anymore. She had become much more evil like her sisters. Ingrid could only shake her head and sigh.
‘I pity those who would cross these crazy bitches in the future.’
Thus, Velyra spent another ten hours torturing the demon whose mind had started to give way to the darkness, but Velyra’s healing abilities wouldn’t allow him to fall.

After spending more than a day torturing the bastard, she finally stopped and let Alina take over.
“Hope that felt good,” Alina said, and Velyra nodded.
“But I will feel better when I get my hands on the one truly behind it,” she said, making Alina nod. It was plain the demon wasn’t truly the only one behind the damage that befell her tribe.
But since he got his hands on this one, she had to torture him to some extent, then she would ensure that the next time she got her hands on the main target, their blood would become their own enemy.
Alina wrote some runes in the air, causing a cage to appear around the demon, trapping him for now. Once she was done, her sisters appeared beside them.
“Looks like you did a number on him, Velyra,” Vari said, and the redskin beauty nodded.
“Feels good to vent my frustration.”
They ensured she was alright, and then they turned to the demon.
“We are not going to question you or anything. Just know that your nightmare is not over yet. Once our man is done with his training, you will do well to answer his questions, or more pain will follow,” Lani said to the demon lying on the ground, panting, barely keeping his eyes open.
The ladies reported to Vexthra, who was keeping Kent company while the rest of her sisters worked on their skills.
Though the skills are theirs, they knew practice would make them even better at using them.
“Keep him there. Kent will wake up soon. So, for now, make sure he doesn’t die,” Vexthra said to her sisters before going back to cleaning the sweat off Kent’s forehead.
He had already been in the enlightenment stage for two months, so she knew he would awaken soon.
Two weeks later, Kent opened his eyes, and a powerful sword qi and intent burst out of his body, cleaving the very ground he sat on and filling the air.
Vexthra sat beside him, feeling no discomfort. Instead, she held a smile on her face.
“Congratulations on reaching the Profound stage in both sword qi and sword intent.”
