Chapter 596: The Ancient Race [Bonus]
Hearing Shax’s answer didn’t exactly shock Kent. He expected something like that, considering he was after such a powerful treasure.

However, he wondered about something that made him question many things he had been made aware of about the Dark Region.

But Vexthra once told him he had to send Li Hua there when she turned 16. That is in two years’ time. So if that was the case, then what happens to the place being sealed?

‘Maybe she wasn’t aware it had been sealed. After all, it has been millions of years already since she ascended, so it is normal.’

“We want to open the Dark Region to release the ancient race,” Shax said unwillingly. Of course, he had no choice in the matter to begin with.

If he dies, Elaine will bring him back.

But even if she can’t do that, Kent would just take his memories. So, hearing there was a chance to save his skin, he had to speak else—

“Go on, what else?” Kent asked. “I want to know the plan of this ancient race and hear about them too.”

Shax sighed.

“The ancient race was the most powerful race before the Parting. However, not many knew of them. Of course, our ancestors did, and that was when we became aware.

We recently discovered that they are hidden within the Dark Region, and it was due to a seal that had been activated for 25 thousand years already.

At first, we didn’t know their race, but we know they are the natural enemies of the Sea race.
