Chapter 601: Poison Revenge (2) [Bonus]
Chaos erupted everywhere when the war alarms sounded in Vale. They were already running before the alarms went off.
However, hearing them now, they knew the situation had turned dire, so they started running frantically.
Some tried to use the teleportation gate in Vale City, but when they got there, they found out they were not working.
Strangely, the teleportation gates were not working. That was the most chilling thing they all encountered. The rain was falling, the poisonous acid was melting people, and the screams filled the air, yet the teleportation gates were not working.
However, as the seconds passed, people started to notice something.
“Why am I not dead when the poison rain definitely fell on me?” one of them asked.
“Me too… I am alive.”
“I am the same. What does this mean?”
Those who started to notice they were still alive despite the poison falling on them began to wonder. A few clever ones started examining the bodies of their friends who had died, and within a minute, the answer became clear.
“These are all people from the Vale and Wilson noble families,” one of them said, causing the others to look even deeper. When they did, they all came to the same conclusion: The people dying were all from the Vale and Wilson noble families.
“But why would the Poison Wicked Witch attack them? Aren’t they on good terms or something?” Many became puzzled, so instead of finding ways to run, they now wanted to get to the bottom of things.
It’s human nature to be curious. Despite the danger surrounding them, they first wanted to understand what was happening and, if possible, uncover the root of things.
Humans are just creatures that can’t be understood, regardless of gender.
Soon, the sky cleared, and the Poison Witch, who had now taken her true form as the once princess of the Deckling noble family, the royals of the Kyrrith kingdom 200 years ago, showed herself.
When the onlookers saw her, they became even more puzzled.
“Who is she? I thought this was a battle between the kingdom and the Poison Wicked Witch… who is this lady?” they wondered, but their answer soon came when thousands of soldiers clad in metallic armor, wielding powerful weapons, started surrounding her.
Some held spears that could easily pierce heaven-grade armor and swords that could cut through the most formidable defenses. The archers were even equipped with better arrows that could deal a deadly blow.
“Aim!” One of the generals leading the Archer unit shouted. Everyone was in the air, facing off against Princess Lovina.
There wasn’t even a warning from the generals, who had managed to send the king away before coming after Princess Lovina.
They had been preparing for this day for a very long time, so once they ensured their king was out of harm’s way, they came to finish the job.
They were confident, despite their opponent being someone on the same level as a kingdom protector. They had prepared well, so they were not afraid of her.
However, when the archers aimed and were about to fire, Princess Lovina waved her staff and muttered two words:
“Poison Explosion.”
The arrowheads exploded, sending thousands of archers hurtling down. The moment they landed hard on the ground, their bodies turned black, showing they had died from poison, and it had corroded their flesh.
“Throw your weapon—” The general who shouted the command wasn’t even done when more explosions erupted, sending more soldiers flying down. The swordsmen and spearmen all went down.
Even those wielding staffs weren’t any better. They all died from the single explosion of their weapons, shocking anyone watching the battle from outside or inside the city.
Unlike the start of the battle, when only a select few died, everyone wielding weapons died this time. It wasn’t just those who had the blood of the Vale and Wilson noble families.
The explosion was a decisive move, planned and executed to perfection. Princess Lovina had been planning her vengeance for a very long time.
She knew she was outnumbered, so she made sure to gain the upper hand one way or another.

Thankfully, her reputation as a Pill Saint and the wicked Poison Witch made her someone the Kyrrith kingdom relied on.
Because they needed her poisonous services so much, she ensured they listened to her suggestions, which is how they ended up in this mess.
She made sure their weapons were loaded and coated in her poison, which in fact was a skill that today allowed her to explode said laced weapons with a swing of her staff.
King Vale, who was watching from a distance, immediately ordered the men manning the other weapons to throw them away.
However, Princess Lovina had long made her move, killing over fifty thousand soldiers within a few seconds.
It was safe to say they trusted the wrong person, which cost them greatly.
The only ones left were the seven generals.
Now, the only thing they could do was face her themselves, using none of her weapons. However, they were afraid. The seven generals were so scared.
“What are you idiots waiting for? Attack her! Reinforcements will be here soon,” King Vale said, causing his seven generals to charge.
Naturally, they had good reason to worry, considering what they had just witnessed.
So the fear in their hearts made them hesitate, and that hesitation was enough for Princess Lovina to gain the upper hand.
She unleashed a powerful spell that conjured five poison snakes and attacked the generals.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t defend against it because of their fear, so they succumbed to the attack. But the other two attackers pressed from both her left and right, pushing her back.
They continued to push her back, doing their best to stay alive until reinforcements arrived. But that didn’t last long, because before they could approach her after their tenth attack, a poison mist enveloped them, and like ants eating sugar, they were consumed by the fog.
However, Princess Lovina’s face paled slightly, showing she had used more than she could for that last attack. So she moved in, wanting to kill the main person she came for—King Vale.
He was the one who led the massacre on her family 200 years ago… so she wanted him dead. Even if she only manages to kill him and not the others, she will consider it a success…
However, just as she was closing the distance, a figure appeared and stopped her. This figure was at the fourth level of the Core Formation stage.
She stopped in her tracks, knowing the variables she calculated had arrived. She looked up at the figure, and as she expected, it was someone she knew would come.
“Kingdom Protector Nathan, I would like you to know you swore to protect my family hundreds of years ago, but you never showed when it came to it. So stay out of my way and let me get my revenge,” Princess Lovina said, her eyes cold.
