Chapter 610: He is Poisoned
“It’s good to finally see family members of our one and only Supreme Advisor. Though we don’t know each other yet, I have a feeling that, as someone related to Lady Tala, you are also great thinkers,” King Hkum said, smiling at Kent and Sword King Shawn.

Kent smiled and shook his head. “We try to keep up with her, but I doubt we will ever rise to her level.”

The king and the five there laughed.

Though Dori didn’t say much about what she did for the Foxkin and the rebel alliance, she had indeed been invaluable to them.

She not only helped the king obtain something that enabled him to advance his cultivation base to the Spirit Lord stage, but she also assisted others in raising their cultivation bases by utilizing her superior mental and analytical thinking abilities.

Well, she was merely using what she could to avoid causing more harm to the Foxkins. If she were to unleash her full mind, the battle would end within an hour, but that would cause more harm to the Foxkins.

But even her tamed mind was enough to earn her the respect of those around her.

“I guess we are fortunate to have her as one of our advisors,” Elder Joren, a green-haired man with eight tails, said, and the others nodded.

“How was your trip then? Princess Lyra told us you said you would be going away for a while, so I hoped everything worked out well,” King Hkum asked.

“Yes. I finally managed to reconnect with my family. However, my brother wants to see you and have a discussion with you all, so here we are,” Dori responded.

She knew they wouldn’t want her to leave again, so she made sure they understood the reason she returned was because of Kent and that they should pay attention to him.

“However, before that, Vexen told me things hadn’t been good lately. Care to give me a rundown on what has been going on since I left?”

Hearing her words, the king, his elders, princesses, and princes sighed. King Hkum looked at his elders and sighed even harder.

“To be frank, after you left, we didn’t have much of a problem until two months ago, when those Hellhound dogs started looking for trouble with us.

They would, from time to time, attack our borders. A couple of our men guarding the borders died, and some were even taken away.

We tried to retrieve them, but since the Batkins share borders with the Hellhounds and are all on the side of the Tyrant King, we couldn’t have much success.

“We even lost more men in the last operation. So that is what has been going on.”

“Sounds bad. How about our allies, the Tigerkins and Catkins? Why didn’t they send their men to help you?” Dori sighed and then asked.

“The Tigerkins are also clashing with the Lionkins, and the Catkins are holding their own against the Rabbitkins.

I think that Orc bastard—excuse my words—wants to make a move on us. Though they are still treating our three races as defiers, they don’t yet know we are in an alliance.

So we also didn’t want to show ourselves yet until King Ralyk and Queen Seris manage to break into the Spirit Lord stage.

But I can’t shake the feeling that King Balma is making a move soon,” King Hkum said, and Kent couldn’t help laughing.

“That bastard is probably hiding somewhere dark, tending to the poison in his body. I don’t think you should worry about him coming or taking action for another six to eight years.”

“What?” the king and his people shouted, hearing Kent’s words.

“My brother is right. King Balma won’t be taking action anytime soon,” Dori added to Kent’s words.

“And why is that?” Elder Nexen asked, confused as to why their supreme leader and her brother could say such a thing.

“That is because I poisoned him the last time I came to rescue my sister,” Kent revealed, showing where his confidence was coming from, causing the king and the elders to gasp at such bold claims.

Their eyes showed their disbelief.

“He is telling the truth. I witnessed it with my own eyes,” Dori added with a smile.

“How is that even possible? I mean, not that I want to look down on you, but a mere Sovereign had no business looking even a Spirit Lord in the eye, much less fighting one… It’s just—”

“Unbelievable,” Kent smiled. “I know, but for the record, I was a Great Sage back then when I gave that bastard the middle finger.”

“What is a middle finger?” Princess Lyra asked innocently.

“It’s nothing, princess…” Dori glared at Kent and smiled weakly.

Kent smirked and looked at the king. “No need to think too much about it. The poison I gave that bastard is enough to keep him away from all fights for a long time.

However, I think he asked his allies to keep attacking you to divert suspicion away from the fact that he is no longer capable of fighting.

But don’t worry too much about it. I will help handle them for you.”

Kent’s words were bold and arrogant, yet knowing he was the brother of their supreme advisor, they couldn’t help but feel that they could trust him.

“Pardon my words, but how can a mere Sovereign help us?” Prince Daryn asked, not sounding arrogant, yet his words carried a hint of anger.

Kent knew they wouldn’t trust him easily, despite being Dori’s brother. However, he wasn’t overly concerned about whether they believed him.

His declaration to help them may sound noble, but his endgame was personal gain.

Right now, he has twelve powerful immortals who have regressed to the Root Sovereign stage, and to help them, he needs loads of Tower points.

So, what is the best way to do that if not killing loads of beasts and at the same time checking how far his legions can push their limits?

The main mission to save Planet Dusk and its people still has two years before it will be too late. But knowing the danger waiting for him there, he first wanted to raise the strength level of his legion, and that can be done using Tower points and beast bodies.

So, he wants to upgrade the dungeons at least first, and then, using the bodies collected, he will create the eight more undead he was left to create while upgrading Kaizo and the rest.

A few Spirit Ascension or Spirit King bodies will do the trick.

‘I mean, one spirit Ascension Beast is worth 5 million tower points…I can’t let this golden opportunity slip through my fingers.’
