Chapter 617: The Creator of Chaos (2) [Bonus]
“So our job is to make sure the Four Spirit Kings are dead,” Vari asked, and Kent nodded. After hours of going around Emberwood City, they returned to Dori’s small mansion, where Kent was staying.
Although they were offered a much larger building, they chose to stay with Kent in the small mansion, which raises the question: How are they all going to fit in it?
However, Kent wasn’t concerned about that. His mission now was to ensure his ladies understood the assignment.
“Yes. There are 16 of you. Four against one is already good enough for beauties like yourselves. However, if you manage to handle them much faster, you are free to pick a new target. Don’t worry, there will be more targets for you, so have fun.”
If people in Sonox heard Kent say “Have fun” to a bunch of beauties who had no business fighting Spirit Kings, they would probably curse him for forming a harem full of monsters.
“That is good, then.” His wives were happy to be joining their man on a mission, finally. Vexthra, who was leaning on Kent’s body, smiled. She knew that the moment her Primordial spirit formed, she would be able to use it to fight as well.
However, for now, she could only observe and cheer them on. After going over a few details, the ladies left to have dinner with the princesses while Kent slipped into the Sword Tower.
He still had 12 hours before the mission was scheduled to start. That was 12 days for him to stockpile attacks using the Fractured Void.
He knew the odds this time were greater, so he was preparing accordingly. Twelve hours later, he and his team moved out. However, they weren’t the only people who left Emberwood.
Queen Amorian and her children, except Princess Lyra, followed them. Of course, they wouldn’t join the battle; they were just there to observe, while General Ragnar and his men would make sure no reinforcements came.
The Hound Barracks is one of the three barracks owned by the Hellhounds. They are some of the most destructive beasts in the universe.
Naturally, they are blessed with fire affinity, which makes them natural users of flames.
The barracks are located in the outer sections of the Hellhound territory. Kent and his team would have to travel through the Hyilaz Valley, one of the many natural valleys in Fedora, to reach their destination.
Of course, since the Hellhounds are much closer to the Foxkin, Kent and his team only had to travel 15,000 miles before they saw the tall, dark barracks standing in the distance.
The environment there isn’t like the beautiful forest of the Foxkin; this space is a lava-infested land. The temperature there is hot, and the flames burning around are all dark.
“Good luck, Valtor,” Kent said to the assassin who would be making the first move. He nodded and left. A few seconds later, Irina and Veydris also entered the void.
Kent turned and looked at Queen Amorian and her children. “You can observe from here. However, when the battle starts, you can come closer for a better view.” With that, he and his team, along with his ladies, started moving closer to the Hound Barracks.
Meanwhile, Valtor kept moving from one shadow to the next, drawing closer to the barracks. His presence was gone, but if you pay much closer attention to your surroundings, you could sense him with a powerful sense.
The Hellhounds inside the barracks and those outside were not paying much attention. That is what happens when you think you are on the winning side.
They believed they were on the winning side simply because they were allies of the strongest being in the entire Fedora.
They didn’t have much to fear, so they decided to lower their guards—something that was about to cost them dearly.
Inside the barracks deep underground, 18 Foxkins could be seen locked behind two thick doors. Standing in front of these doors was a 2-meter-tall, muscular humanoid Hellhound.
His skin was cracked, and molten lava seemed to move through it just like every other Hellhound out there. They had thick skin, muscular physiques, and well-built bodies, and from what Kent knew about them, they possessed incredible strength.
That, augmented by their flame affinity, made them very powerful. This one was a Spirit Ascension stage Hellhound standing guard.
Inside, almost half of the Foxkins were children, and judging by the wounds on the adults, it was clear they had been beaten while protecting the young ones.
The look in their eyes as they gazed at the Hellhound guard said it all—they hated the bastard.
Suddenly, a young Foxkin noticed a shadow move, causing her to turn to an older Foxkin. But the adult Foxkin sealed her lips before she could speak.
He and the others saw this movement through the holes in the metal door, so they made sure none of the children said anything.
Suddenly, Valtor rose from the shadow of the Hellhound guard, and before the bastard could notice him, he slit his throat with one hand while the other embedded a dagger into his chest, ending him instantly.
Not even a strand of killing intent came from Valtor. This showed he was someone who had mastered the art of “Death Killing.”

He could kill to his heart’s content without showing any killing intent. These individuals were among the most notorious assassins. Valtor opened the prison door and entered.
“I am Valtor. My master sent me to get you out. Now, gather in one place.” The Foxkin who saw him kill the Hellhound easily obeyed him. His entire body was covered, so nobody could tell what he looked like.
Valtor waited, and soon the Foxkins were gathered.
‘I am ready, Irina. The rest is on you and Veydris.’ For someone who didn’t like to talk, he understood the assignment today, so he gave his friends a heads-up.
He activated the talisman, which enveloped everyone, including him.
However, at the same time, several meters away, a door burst open and a figure flashed out. But before he could move, a dark crescent-shaped sword arc came from the void, stopping him.
The void cracked, and Veydris and Irina walked forward. Irina wore a smile on her face for a second before a cold look replaced it.
“To the death then.” She vanished, and without even giving the Spirit Emperor a second to ask a question, her fist landed on his chest, sending him flying out of the barracks.
“Kill them all,” Kent’s voice sounded as he appeared in the air with his legion and harem.
A great battle was underway.
