Chapter 621: The Creator of Chaos (6) [Bonus]
For a Root Sovereign to be asking for two Spirit Kings as his opponents… it just didn’t make any sense. However, Aetheris nodded to Kent’s words and released two Spirit Kings.
Kent looked at them and made a “come get me” gesture. As if taking the provocation to heart, the bastards dashed toward him with a speed that rivaled even a Spirit Emperor.
Their anger burned so hot that they wanted only one thing: to kill the brat who seemed to be the cause of everything.
However, even when they drew closer, Kent didn’t move. Instead, he stood there and allowed the two to unleash a powerful attack that landed on his body.
Instead of breaking in half, Kent was only pushed back a couple of meters. He felt the impact and saw the print mark appear on his skin, but that was all.
The ultimate move that was supposed to kill him did no such thing.
“I didn’t use my dragon bloodline, and I most certainly didn’t activate any enchantments in these clothes… so does that mean just my stats alone are enough to handle the blow from a Spirit King, or does this have to do with the limit I am breaking?”
Kent was taken aback.
“Again,” he called out, and the enraged Spirit Kings growled, their fists burning red. They activated a skill that amplified their strength. However, even that didn’t break Kent in half.
He was just pushed back, and the pain was much more severe now.
“Again.”
For some reason, Kent felt like asking for some more beating, so he asked. Thus, the two Spirit Kings started bombarding him with punches. Soon, his body was littered with dark marks showing he was being beaten severely.
“This guy is nuts,” Prince Sylas said, his eyes widening as he gazed at Kent being bombarded with attacks for the past five minutes.
“Just what is he made of? I mean, taking a punch from a Spirit Ascension stage expert is doable, but two Spirit Kings—that is just too much,” Princess Arien added, not understanding what was happening.
Her mother stood there quietly, observing the battle with a calm expression.
She was paying attention to two people: Kent and Sword King Shawn, who was only targeting Spirit Ascension Hellhounds.
At first, Sword King Shawn was on a winning streak, having killed three Spirit Ascension experts. However, that was until he met a peak Spirit Ascension Hellhound who also used a sword.
Though it is not common for Hellhounds to use swords, this one looked like a worthy opponent, so Sword King Shawn had been locked in battle with him for the past ten minutes.
Every second of his fight with the Hellhound swordsman was a mesmerizing display for Queen Amorian. She had expected Kent to take out his sword, but, alas, the brat was more focused on getting beaten.
“Are you two children, put some weight into your punches… I am not feeling anything at all,” Kent taunted. And he was lying; the pain was not lessening at all.
However, he wanted more, and as such, he was getting pounded. But he wanted more.
Meanwhile, far from the crumbling barracks, a 60-meter-tall Hellhound radiating hell flames was in a stalemate with Veydris and Irina.
The Spirit Emperor that was fighting was monstrous. Initially, they had the upper hand; however, when the Hellhound took on his true form, the odds shifted to his side.
However, it took just a few minutes for Veydris to bring the odds back to a stalemate. He unleashed an attack that raised something akin to a Void domain. Inside this domain, none of them could use any active skills.
Naturally, that was a bad move. However, both Veydris and Irina have an affinity for the Void, so it was like they were swimming in the Void. This allowed them to hold the beast in a deadlock.
But that was only if they could hang on for a few more minutes.
Valtor, who used the talisman to free the prisoner, was back on the battlefield but hadn’t shown himself yet. Kent told him to come and hide and wait for his chance to appear.
So he was hidden and waiting.
Twenty minutes had passed since the start of the battle, and so far, the odds were on Kent’s side. His team had ensured that the overwhelming odds stacked against them had now been lessened and shifted to their side.
Suddenly, Irina was sent flying through the air as the Spirit Emperor used a desperate method to break the stalemate. It was a skill that made him channel all his energy into his mouth and blast it at Irina.

However, he didn’t stop there; he went ahead and dashed at Veydris, ready to end the metal knight who seemed to have the means to calculate all his attacks before he landed them.
This time, Veydris was a step too late to take any action. So the Hellhound found that opening and unleashed a powerful kick.
It was that one kick that would KO Veydris.
He came close, very close to achieving his goal. However, before he could reach Veydris, a shadow flashed at the corner of the Hellhound’s eye, sensing something dangerous.
He stopped the attack on Veydris and attempted to retreat. However, Valtor, who saw the perfect time to move, timed it perfectly and unleashed a lethal attack.
His dagger cut deep into the right foreleg of the Hellhound, and then Valtor vanished just like that.
The next second, he appeared, hovering in the air. He looked toward the Hellhound, a smile on his lips behind his mask.
“You have five minutes to live; enjoy it while it lasts.” With that, he vanished, leaving the fate of the dying Spirit Emperor to Veydris and Irina.
Valtor appeared inside the legion and vanished to the last floor of the dungeon he came from. The moment he appeared there, he fell unconscious.
The skill he had just used required him to use all his soul strength, which was only at Tier 11, to go against a Tier 13 soul and poison it.
That was dangerous, but he succeeded, and the price would be a couple of months unconscious.
