Chapter 624: The Aftermath of Chaos [Bonus]
Coincidences are indeed a thing.
It had already been two days since Kent led his legion and his Dragon Harem to evade the Hound Barracks and kill every last Hellhound. Not even one managed to escape.
Their loss was brutal, and as such, when the Hound King found out, he was so enraged that he nearly burned down his palace.
However, that anger was soon directed at the Lionkin. The reason being that every last Hellhound died, and they didn’t know something that grim had happened.
A day after the attack, a unit of Hellhounds, who were scheduled to replace another unit, discovered the attack and immediately alerted their king.
The coincidence part was that a few hours after the Hellhounds became aware of this massacre, the Lions attacked one of their other barracks.
Perhaps, sometimes, the anger most people feel should be resolved first before battles.
The Lion King wasn’t any different from The Hellhound King. When news reached him that the Hellhounds colluded with the Orcs to attack them, he knew the Orcs couldn’t be touched, so all his anger was directed at the Hellhounds.
He ordered a full-blown war, and so, a day later—which was a few hours after the Hellhounds received news of the massacre of their soldiers—the Lionkin arrived, and the battle was cataclysmic.
Thousands died in their first clash, and despite having the option to talk, none believed the other. So, a day later, the second clash occurred, and that was what had been happening since Kent’s mission.
The man in question was currently sleeping in the house given to them by the Foxkin.
His ladies were somewhere in the city, spending time there while Kent waited for the limit to break.
Meanwhile, the Foxkin, who were keeping tabs on the war between the Lionkin and Hellhounds, were so shocked that they didn’t know what to do.
It was just too shocking. Kent hadn’t even told them he had such a plan up his sleeve. He only told them after the mission. And so now that they were seeing the outcome, they just didn’t know what to say.
Currently, inside the palace, King Hkum, his elders, and Queen Amorian were meeting with Dori to understand something.
“Lady Tala, what is your take on what is going on now?” King Hkum asked.
Dori smiled, hearing his question. What her master did was indeed something worth admiring, and now she was left to make them understand the kind of person Kent was…
“Big brother Kent only did what he did, so you can have a moment of peace for perhaps a few years to come. He knew that with the Orc king poisoned, the four who allied with them would be weakened.
This was why he ensured that two of them fought and killed each other. And knowing the Hellhounds, they won’t stop anytime soon. So this leaves us with the most pressing question:
Would the Orcs retaliate?
The answer is no, they won’t. They are currently leaderless. Their king is poisoned, and as a result, they wouldn’t want to engage in any major battles. This means we now have some years to observe things.
The Lionkin is the third strongest in the Orc Alliance, but with how ferocious the Hellhounds are, they will lose more men.
When that happens, they will become useless to King Balma. By then, he will only have the Batkin and the Rabbitkin on his side. That will make it three against three.
However, I have reasons to believe that odd will be useless when the time comes.”
“Oh, and why is that?” Elder Joren asked. He could sense some confidence in Dori’s words that made him wonder just where it was coming from.
Dori, of course, knew this was the moment for her to make them aware of her main goal for meeting them.
“That is because you have a guardian called Kent. I have reasons to believe taking him as your guardian will be much more rewarding than you think.
And as your supreme advisor, I advise you to take him as your guardian. Trust me, he is much more dangerous than he appears.”
Kent wasn’t aware Dori was out here doing her best to make him the guardian of a race that numbered in the hundreds of thousands. However, the outcome was that he would become their guardian, meaning he would have to protect them.
Well, he had already started protecting them, so it wasn’t like it would be something new to him. He would benefit from becoming their guardian, so there was an upside to this.

Dori spent a few more minutes there and then left. She ensured they understood the benefits of working with her master.
After she left, she found Kent, who had just broken the limit; more accurately, the process ended after three days.
“Master, I want you to become the guardian of the Foxkin,” Dori said, entering the room where Kent was sleeping. He opened his eyes and looked at her, then smirked.
“You make it sound like they will want me to become their guardian. I may have helped them against the Hellhounds, but when it comes to the Orc army, I don’t think I have the power.”
“Indeed, Master, but I believe when you come out of seclusion, you will become much more powerful. Aside from that, you now have billions of tower points and thousands of bodies to use for more undead and to upgrade the ones you have already created.
The dungeons can be upgraded, which will take the strength of your Dungeon bosses to the peak of Core Formation, with all seven core evolutions under their belt.
If I am not mistaken, based on the grade of bodies you have now, you can create eight peak Core Formations Undead. Kaizo and his friends will also be upgraded to that point, and you will still have more bodies for future use.
Essentially, the next few years for you will be something I would like to see. So why don’t you become their guardian?
By the time the Orc King comes out of seclusion, you will be ready to bring him to his knees with just your pinky.”
Kent smiled, hearing what Dori said.
‘I mean, she is not wrong. I would indeed have the power to bring him to his knees with my pinky. Even now, I can go toe-to-toe with a peak Spirit Emperor.
What then would become of me after I come out of seclusion?’ Kent mused.
“Alright, let’s do it.”
