Chapter 635: Meeting The Chaos Dragon [Bonus]
Sitting at the core of the universe, Lady Universe smiled when she saw what Kent was about to do.

“Looks like his destiny is about to take a turn. I wonder what he will do with what he was about to learn about his past.” A smile appeared on her face. Suddenly, the enchantress’s voice entered her mind.

“You don’t have to worry about his mental health, sister; Doriana has that covered. The problem now is what he will do with the memories he is about to make, most importantly, what will happen to him after learning about his background.”

Lady Universe smirked, “That is not our business—to worry about him. Like you said, he has Doriana. The question we should ask ourselves now is what will become of the universe when the Chaos Dragon is unleashed again.”

The two ladies smiled.

They truly wanted to know because the Chaos Dragon was someone who had lived up to his name from the very beginning. He had no ordinary name, just one that described his nature.

“Oh Chaos, I wonder what you have planned for your future?”

—

Kent held the key for a few seconds before a smile appeared on his lips. “Time to meet myself, I guess.” With that, he pressed the key against his forehead, and his consciousness was pulled into a realm.

—

Kent appeared in a serene forest, one with lush green plants and a beautiful, picturesque sky. The air smelled and tasted clean, and the wind blowing across the space was just too tantalizing.

Kent felt at home, like he was meant to be there. He immersed himself in the tranquil environment, even forgetting why he was there or what he was supposed to be doing at that moment.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Suddenly, a voice spoke, causing Kent to turn around and examine his environment. The moment he turned, his gaze met that of a handsome man.

The person had purple hair that flowed down his back, purple eyes, and deep golden dragon horns. He was clad in a simple tunic shirt and trousers that showed his perfect physique.

In his hand was an apple.

Kent observed him for a few seconds before a smirk appeared on his face.

“I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” The man who appeared before him smirked and threw an apple at him.

“Thanks,” Kent said, accepting it.

Perhaps the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, indeed. That was because the person who appeared was an exact copy of him.

While Jest bears a resemblance to him, the uncanny resemblance he shared with this man was strikingly similar to his current appearance. However, the man was more handsome, mature, and dangerous by all standards than he appeared to be.

However, they shared the same eye color and physical appearance.

“So you are the Chaos Dragon,” Kent asked, biting into the apple.

“Indeed. You can call me Chaos,” the man, who was identified as the Chaos Dragon, said.

“Chaos. Like, seriously. Don’t you have a normal dragon name, like Drogo or Drogan? Even Frodo is a good name… why only Chaos?” Kent asked, not understanding why someone would call themselves Chaos.

I mean, it sounded cool, but come on, that is just crazy.

Chaos looked at Kent and laughed. “You will understand later.”

Kent sighed. “Though, aren’t you supposed to be dead or something? I mean, I didn’t meet Jest, so why am I meeting you? Not that I am complaining, but why?”

Chaos walked past Kent and then moved to a cliff not far from where they stood. Kent followed and stood beside him, looking like a father and son when in fact, they were the same person.

Chaos turned to him and smiled. Kent could swear he saw some emotions flash in those crazy purple eyes, but then they vanished.

“I reckon Jest is one of our incarnations?” he asked, and Kent nodded.

“Looks like it works. This is good.” Chaos’s smile caused his eyes to flash golden for a second before returning to their purple form.

“To answer your question, I am here because of you. This consciousness is left in this realm, which is hidden deep within your mind. Now that you want to learn about your memories, I will guide you and perhaps answer your questions.”

“This means if you have anything you want to know, I am ready to answer… Though you have to know I can’t answer all questions, the laws are not exactly deaf, you see.” Chaos smiled, biting again into his apple. Kent did the same.

“First question, then. I want to know about how you died.”

“Right off the bat, I see.” Chaos smiled and then shook his head. “Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how I died.”

“Why?” Kent asked, not liking how his first question had turned out. He knew the Chaos Dragon had died; he had learned that from Vexthra, so he wanted to know what had happened.

“I don’t know how I died because I never died,” Chaos said with a cheeky laugh. However, Kent wasn’t sharing in his fun. From all he knew, the Chaos Dragon fell during the Great War, so why was he saying he didn’t die?

“I don’t understand. From what I learned about the Chaos Dragon, you fell during the Great War. So, what then happened if you are saying you never died?”

It all didn’t make any sense. The Chaos Dragon was the lone guardian to stay when the others were transcending.

He stood his ground and fought for what he loved, and died doing it. So if that was the case, why was he saying he never died?

Was it that he was mistaken for someone, or had he perhaps sustained brain damage during the battle? Kent looked at Chaos weirdly and then sighed.

“How are you still alive then, and what happened during the Great War?” he asked. That seemed like the logical question at the moment.

“The Great War, huh? Sounds like a good name, but I prepared for the Doom War. After all, it was then I died, yet I didn’t die.

You might think I am messing with you, but the truth of the matter is, I died, but I didn’t die. I died in the sense that my soul shattered, but I didn’t die because my soul never went to the underworld.”
