Chapter 443: Out of patience
‘Nevermind waiting. If I wait any longer they may just be able to transport these Celestial Orbs out for all I know!’
Alex’s patience snapped.
‘Fuck it!’
The time for stealth was over.
He had come this far, and now there was no turning back.
His muscles tensed as he locked onto the towering Red Demon General stationed in the centre of the room, the centre of attention to all the Red Demons occupying the place.
The General was the focal point, his hulking frame drawing the attention of all the other Red Demons in the chamber.
A figure of absolute authority, he loomed over the intricate stone table, barking commands to his officers without a trace of fear or doubt.
Alex felt a rush of adrenaline surge through him. If he was going to make his move, now was the time.
In one swift motion, he sprang from his hiding place, a blur of movement too fast for the Red Demons to react.
The General barely had time to look up before Alex was upon him, his blade cutting through the air like a razor.
The General roared, his massive hand snapping up to block the blow, but Alex was faster.
His sword sliced through the General’s arm with a sickening crunch, sending dark, thick blood spraying across the stone floor.
The room erupted into chaos.
Red Demon officers shouted, scrambling for their weapons as they tried to process what had just happened.
But Alex wasn’t about to let them regroup.
With a brutal efficiency, he ducked under a wild swing from another officer, his fist driving into the demon’s midsection with enough force to shatter bones.
The officer crumpled to the ground, his body limp.
The General, clutching his severed arm, growled in fury.
His eyes glowed with a deep, malevolent light as he reached for the enormous axe strapped to his back.
Even with one arm, the General was a terrifying sight—his presence alone enough to make lesser demons cower.
“You dare!”
The General snarled, his voice booming like thunder as he swung the axe toward Alex.
But Alex was already moving. He sidestepped the powerful strike with ease, the massive weapon crashing into the stone floor, sending shards of rock flying in all directions.
Without missing a beat, Alex spun around, his sword slicing through the air once more. This time, the blade found its mark, cutting deep into the General’s side.
The demon bellowed in pain, staggering backward, but he wasn’t finished yet.
With a savage roar, he swung his axe in a wide arc, forcing Alex to leap back to avoid the deadly edge.
The other Red Demons were finally reacting, charging toward Alex with weapons drawn, but they were too slow.
Alex’s eyes burned with a fierce determination. He had one target in mind, and that was the General. The rest were just distractions.
He darted forward, closing the gap between him and the massive demon in the blink of an eye.

His blade flashed, striking again and again with blinding speed, each blow aimed at the General’s vital points.
The Red Demon tried to fight back, but Alex was relentless, his movements fluid and precise, like a predator toying with its prey.
With one final strike, Alex drove his sword through the General’s chest, the blade piercing through flesh and bone.
The demon’s eyes widened in shock as his body trembled, blood pouring from the wound.
For a brief moment, the room fell silent.
Then, with a grunt of effort, Alex wrenched his sword free, and the General’s massive body collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud.
The remaining Red Demons froze, their eyes wide with disbelief. Their leader—one of the strongest among them—had fallen.
And now, they were faced with an enemy that had just taken him down with ease.
Alex turned to face them, his sword dripping with the General’s blood. His gaze was cold, calculating.
“You’re all next.”
He said, his voice low but carrying the weight of a death sentence.
The demons hesitated, clearly torn between fear and the instinct to fight back. But Alex didn’t give them a chance to decide.
In a blur of motion, he lunged at the nearest demon, his blade cutting through flesh and bone as if it were nothing.
The room exploded into chaos once more as the Red Demons scrambled to defend themselves, but they were no match for Alex.
His movements were a whirlwind of violence and precision, cutting down one demon after another with terrifying efficiency. Each strike was deliberate, each blow fatal.
Within minutes, the chamber was littered with the bodies of Red Demons.
Blood stained the stone floor, pooling around the lifeless forms of the demons who had dared to stand in his way.
Alex stood amidst the carnage, breathing heavily but unscathed. His eyes flickered toward the entrance to the vault where the Celestial Orbs were stored.
Now that the General was dead, there was nothing standing between him and those orbs.
He wiped the blood from his blade and stepped toward the entrance to the main cavern, where the huge black mass was housed.
‘I was standing here just earlier, not knowing that I was staring at a potential gold mine!’
He spotted several thousand Red Demons all standing around, running all over the place, or just panicking at the sight of him.
None of them were combatants, that was clear.
But Alex didn’t care.
The Caverns shook as the sounds of demons screaming in pain, misery, and all other sorts of emotions echoed across the lot of them.
It only took Alex a few seconds to cleave the thousands upon thousands of them like a herd of sheep.
Not a single one was able to resist him, but then again, neither was the B rank Mutant class General either.
And before long, he was now alone in the whole place.
‘So this is the planet’s soul… I think?’
He thought to himself as he looked at the huge black sphere, now with a few noticeable marks in it from where the Red Demons had begun their excavations.
