Chapter 762: Rosie’s Back in Action [Bonus]
“No.”
I cut her off before her thoughts could crash through that particular wall.
“To be fair…” Seraphiel hummed with a twinkle in her eye, “She isn’t that far off, is she?”
The dam broke.
Lucille covered her mouth with a snort, Aurora immediately started giggling into her hands, Ayame howled with laughter, and even Blossom let out a tiny chuckle with red cheeks as she remembered how exactly Rosie underwent her transformation, going from a speaking tree to this adorable green ball of joy and mischief upon coming into contanct with my [Blessed Seed].
Despite the ladies having fun at my expense, I felt every tense muscle in my body relax at once. The warmth in the air changed. Not from mana, not from fire, but from something far rarer: peace. Home.
“What the hell is going on?! Scatterbrain, is this your home?! This is so damned cool!” Poppy shouted with eyes that sparkled quite similarly to Rosie’s.
“Stop calling your sister by such names!” Natalie hissed, but it was more out of motherly instinct than active instructions sent by her brain. She was all too flabbergasted for that right now.
Blossom didn’t seem to mind her big sister’s naming sense, however, as she giggled with a big, proud grin. “Hehe! This is Master’s Stronghold! And the awesome green girly is Master’s and Blossom’s daughter!”
“Huh?!” the two dogkin women yelped in sync, with Natalie losing control over her body for a second. It was Kaelira who extended a hand, grabbing onto the woman so that she wouldn’t fall like a log.
After I sent the tomboy elf an appreciative nod, her eyes also sparkled as she eagerly nodded back.
Before Vex and the other newcomers could get more lost than they already were, I elected to clarify. “All of my girls are Rosie’s mothers, adoptive ones. They had nothing to do with her conception.”
“Ehehehe! That’s right!” Rosie chirped and went to pet Blossom’s lush blonde hair lovingly before moving on to Poppy’s red twintails, pulling on them playfully with motions as if she were milking a cow. I didn’t know what she expected to happen.
Then, when nothing came of her actions, the little green devil moved onto Natalie, whose heart was visibly throbbing, drumming like a race horse’s. The dryad then placed her pointer finger on her chin, and with a masterfully innocent expression, she quipped,
“Grandma?”
“!!!” That was all Natalie’s system could take, she fainted in the next moment.
“Ehehehe!” Rosie giggled with mischief once again before winking at me, letting me know she was perfectly aware of what she was doing. She achieved the result she wanted to.
It was an assassin’s sharp dagger veiled in her childish innocence.
“Are you Rosie’s eighth Mommy?” She asked, moving onto the woman in my arms, zooming around her, inspecting Vex, busy determining whether she was worthy or not.
“That’s right, I’ve been meaning to ask. What’s going on between you two? You seem to have skipped a few steps in your relationship in the middle of Lionheart’s siege…” Ayame asked, observing Vex’s pink cheeks.
“I’m wondering the same thing…” she muttered back before angling her neck so that she could look up into my eyes with an expectant gaze, demanding my thoughts on the matter. She even blinked rapidly, wordlessly telling me she was keen to learn my thoughts, and that they better be to her liking.
I chuckled amusedly at her adorable antics. “Why are you looking at me like that, woman? You’re mine and mine alone, what else?”
Her eyes widened, resuming her squirming in my arms. “B-but-”
“But what? Do you sit in random men’s laps, hugging and kissing them? Deep kissing at that…”
She stared at me for a few seconds before replying with a shake of her head.
I continued the onslaught. “Then are you some loser who dreams of becoming the hero of the common people, offering your body up to protect randoms? No. You’re Vex the Hexblade, a mighty and greedy woman who does what’s in her best interest. Even Black Fang didn’t understand why you decided to bleed for me. You changed your mindset, your methodology that you’d been following for the past two centuries, when it came to the decision where you had to either let me die or protect me at the cost of your safety.”
“You’re right…” she muttered, deep in thought.
“What about your demand that he must defeat you in a duel before you entertain the idea of getting together with him?” Lucille asked, but instead of wearing a serious expression, she had a knowing smile adorn her gorgeous face. There was a good reason she’d been elected to become the harem head. Despite her being less than one—fifth of Vex’s age, she’d read the woman like an open book.
Vex’s lips trembled as the caramel-haired woman of mine brought up a new feeling in her. “I-I introduced that requirement because I found it amusing how that overly cocky little rookie had the balls to openly go after me. Me, a Veil Walker! Him, a mere potential candidate to become a Vesper Phenom!”
The sharp edge in her tone told us she was having a hard time grasping her current situation. “I thought it would be fun to put him in his place by having him chase after my skirt for a few centuries, always getting crushed in our duels… I wanted to see utter defeat in those arrogant eyes of his as he realizes I’m out of his reach and will remain as such until the end of time. I wanted to see him settle for a lesser woman in humiliation, admitting defeat!”

“Just how sadistic can you get? And why do I find it so hot?”
She completely and utterly shamelessly ignored my questions (just as I ignored my girls’ deadpan stares) and then sighed with reservation as she once again looked up into my eyes and declared,
“I honestly don’t give a damn about that rule of mine. Despite what you horribly disrespectful rascals might think of me, I’m not some old hag stuck in ancient times, looking for a chivalrous knight to sweep her off her feet… I’m perfectly fine with having a weaker partner as long as I love him and the feeling is mutual… That’s all that matters to me. I’m a strong woman who can protect herself and her man, I don’t need a broad back to hide behind like a damsel in distress.”
“Well said!” I decreed, adjusting her in my arms so that she was now hauled over my shoulder like a potato sack and I slapped her tantalizing butt, earning myself a surprised “Kya!!”
I looked over my girls and subordinates before stating, “You’ve all done amazingly well today. I’m proud of all of you. Rest up and visit our two resident superhealers if you have lingering pains. In the meantime, I’ll be devouring my eighth woman. Don’t call me unless gold coins begin falling from the skies.”
“Nooo!!” Vex’s adorably weak protests welcomed my declaration as she squirmed in my arms, trying to free herself like I was a kidnapper. But no one bought her act, for we all knew how strong she was.
It was time to feast on the unclaimed body of a two-century-old woman!
