- Chapter 93 - Chapter 93 Confession
Chapter 93: Confession Chapter 93: Confession Noah stayed by Kelvin’s side the entire time, the steady beeping of the heart monitor the only sound accompanying the quiet tension in the medical bay.
The healers had worked quickly, tending to the blood loss and whatever had caused Kelvin’s strange state.
They assured Noah that Kelvin would be fine-nothing serious, just some blood loss and stress, but Noah wasn’t so easily reassured.
He watched the clock tick by, every minute stretching into an eternity.
Kelvin was unconscious the entire time, but Noah couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right.
His mind kept racing back to what he had seen-the blood, the ashen face, and the unspoken dread that hung heavy in the room.
It felt like something more than just an accident.
Something had happened to Kelvin, and Noah was determined to find out what.
An hour passed before the beeping slowed, and Kelvin stirred.
His eyes fluttered open slowly, groggy at first, then blinking rapidly as he tried to make sense of his surroundings.
When he saw Noah sitting there, his expression softened.
“Where…
am I?” Kelvin mumbled, voice hoarse.
“Medical bay,” Noah replied, his tone still heavy with worry.
“You’ve been out for a while.
They patched you up.” Kelvin blinked again, clearly trying to shake off the fogginess in his head.
“What happened?” he asked, his voice sounding more confused than anything else.
Noah sat back, keeping his gaze sharp.
“That’s what I’m wondering,” he muttered, but before he could press further, a healer entered the room, giving Kelvin the once-over.
“You’re good to go,” the healer said with a reassuring smile.
“Just take it easy for a while.” Kelvin nodded, though he seemed less enthusiastic about getting up than Noah had hoped.
He stood slowly, wobbling a little as he grabbed the hospital gown.
Noah stayed silent, letting Kelvin get dressed and adjust to the world around him.
But the weird quietness that had settled on him over the last couple of days seemed to linger, even after his recovery.
Noah stood up and walked alongside him as they made their way out of the medical bay.
Kelvin didn’t speak much, just keeping his head down, his shoulders tense.
When they finally made it out of the healer’s reach and into the hallway, Noah took a sharp turn, pulling Kelvin off to the side in a quiet corner, away from anyone who might overhear.
“Okay, what the hell is going on?” Noah demanded, his voice low but intense.
“What happened back there?
Why were you so out of it?

You looked like you’d seen a ghost, and then there’s all that blood-don’t try to play it off.” He said, pinning kelvin against the wall with no where to go.
Sometimes a little force was just what was needed.
Kelvin’s eyes flickered nervously.
He opened his mouth as if to speak, but hesitated, the usual cocky and playful attitude he’d worn before nowhere in sight.
For the first time since Noah had met him, Kelvin looked genuinely shaken.
Noah wasn’t going to let this go.
“I’m serious, Kelvin.
You’re not walking away from this one without answers.” Kelvin swallowed, but still remained silent.
Noah’s grip tightened on his arm, the only thing left to do now was to force it out of him-whatever “it” was.
Kelvin finally cracked, his hands trembling as he wiped at his eyes.
He’d been silent for too long, the weight of his secrets pressing on him until it was all he could do to hold it in.
But now, with Noah’s unwavering gaze on him, the confession spilled out.
“I did it,” he muttered, his voice a cracked whisper.
“I framed Micah.” Noah blinked, completely stunned, his mind struggling to catch up with the words.
“What?!” he exclaimed, his heart pounding in his chest.
“Why would you do that, Kelvin?
Micah?
An upperclassman?
You framed him?
For what good reason?” Kelvin’s face contorted with guilt, tears welling up in his eyes.
“I didn’t mean for it to go this far,” he sobbed, his voice raw.
“I was just trying to protect you, Noah.
I had to do something.” Noah’s brow furrowed in confusion.
This was madness.
“Protect me?
From what?
From Micah?” His voice was full of disbelief, the situation making less sense by the second.
Kelvin nodded miserably.
“Yeah… you don’t get it, do you?
There’s a case going on.
Lucas, Number 1-he’s been investigating something big, right?
They found traces of high-level military knowledge on Micah’s computer.
Some secret stuff.
They were tipped off about it.
I tipped them off” Noah was shocked to the bone.
He knew about the investigation, but he hadn’t thought much of it at the time.
Lucas had mentioned it, but Noah hadn’t been paying attention.
He hadn’t even thought to link it to kelvin.
Micah had been a thorn in his side for a while, especially since Noah suspected the upperclassman of feeding information to General Albright about him.
But this?
Framing him like this?
This was something entirely different.
“I never thought much about it,” Noah admitted, his mind reeling.
“But why would you go this far?
You’re telling me you hacked into his stuff and planted evidence?
He’s in the top five of the academy!
You can’t just do that to someone like him!” Kelvin sniffled, his eyes red and puffy.
“I didn’t mean for it to get this crazy… I swear.
I didn’t care about the military stuff, but I figured out what happened to you.
Albright… he knew about you.
I know he did.
And I know he got the information from someone.
I didn’t care whether you did it or not, Noah.
I just wanted to punish the person who put you in trouble.
I couldn’t let it slide.” Noah stared at him, his hand instinctively reaching for his chest as the weight of the words hit him like a truck.
“You… you did all this for me?” he asked quietly, his voice wavering.
Kelvin nodded, biting his lip, his face streaked with tears.
“Yeah.
I poked around.
I found out why you got arrested that day when you wouldn’t tell me.
And when I figured it out, I knew it was him.
Micah.
He was the one who ratted you out to Albright, wasn’t he?
I kind of narrowed it down to two people.
But you seemed close to Lucas and upon closer digging, I realized the outlier was Micah,” Noah’s chest tightened.
The rage he’d felt toward Micah in the past suddenly flared back up, but it was mixed with something else now-something heavier.
“And what?
You confronted him about it?” “I did,” Kelvin said, voice breaking.
“But he… he beat me.
I tried to confront him, but he didn’t take it well.
So I thought of a plan.
I planted evidence in his room.
Made it look like he was the one leaking military secrets.
And then… I don’t know.
Everything just spiraled from there.” Noah’s hand dropped from his chest, his mind too shocked to process it all.
For a long moment, he just stared at his best friend, unable to speak.
Kelvin had done all this-for him.
All this time, when Noah had been too focused on his own problems, Kelvin had been silently fighting his battles in the background, making moves he couldn’t even begin to understand.
