- Chapter 95 - Chapter 95 Still a mystery
Chapter 95: Still a mystery Chapter 95: Still a mystery Noah reached Micah’s door and slammed his fist against it, the loud thud vibrating through the hallway.
No response.
His patience was gone.
He knocked again, harder, and when the door didn’t open immediately, he slammed his fist a third time, the noise echoing through the building.
A moment of silence, followed by the sound of footsteps moving quickly inside tworld into something far more dangerous.
Lucas felt his gut tighten.
He didn’t know exactly what Noah was planning, but he had a strong hunch it wasn’t going to be pretty.he room.
The door creaked open slightly, just enough for Noah to see Micah standing there, looking unfazed.
There was no fear in his eyes-only an unreadable expression that hinted at a level of confidence Noah wasn’t expecting.
“What do you want?” Micah asked, his voice steady, though there was a hint of annoyance at the disruption.
He didn’t step back, didn’t flinch at Noah’s presence, like he’d seen this confrontation coming a mile away.
Noah glared at him, his hands clenched into fists.
“You know why I’m here, Micah.
You think you can just walk around framing people, playing your little games and causing chaos?” Micah’s eyes flickered briefly, but he didn’t back down.
“I didn’t frame anyone,” he said, his tone calm, almost dismissive.
“Not unless you’re talking about Kelvin.” He leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms, a smirk forming on his lips.
“I’m dealing with him.
You should know that by now.” Noah’s expression hardened.
“Kelvin?
What does he have to do with this?” Micah tilted his head, his confidence still unshaken.
“He got in my way.
Had to make sure he knew who was really in charge around here.” His eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of a challenge in them.
“You can blame me for that, but don’t act like you know everything.
You’ve got your own mess to clean up.” Noah’s pulse quickened, but he didn’t flinch.
He had expected resistance, but Micah’s outright denial was a surprise.
Still, he wasn’t here for pleasantries, and he wasn’t about to let Micah talk his way out of this.
“Don’t lie to me, Micah,” Noah said, his voice low but dangerous.
“You’re the one who’s been pulling strings, working with Albright.
Don’t pretend like you’re innocent.” Micah shrugged, unbothered by the accusation.
“Albright’s not involved in this.

You’re barking up the wrong tree if you think I’m working with him.
But Kelvin?
That’s a different story.
He’s been poking around too much for his own good.” He stared directly at Noah, eyes cold.
“So if you’re here to try and play the hero, don’t bother.
This is bigger than you think.” Noah stood there for a long moment, the anger in his chest starting to bubble to the surface again.
He couldn’t shake the feeling that Micah was hiding something, but for now, it seemed that Kelvin was the more immediate problem.
Still, he wasn’t about to let Micah off the hook entirely.
“So, you’re telling me you’ve got no part in this?” Noah’s voice was taut with barely controlled rage.
“That’s what you want me to believe?” Micah met his gaze with an unwavering stare.
“Believe what you want, but this isn’t about me.
It’s about Kelvin.
He’s the one you need to worry about, not me.” Noah gritted his teeth, his hands flexing at his sides.
This wasn’t over, not by a long shot.
He knew there was more to this story, but for now, he had to focus.
He could already feel the weight of the coming confrontation with Kelvin.
That’s where the real battle would take place.
Noah’s expression hardened, the air around him thick with unspoken menace.
He took a step closer to Micah, his eyes locked on the senior’s without a shred of hesitation.
“You touch Kelvin again, Micah,” Noah’s voice was low, but it carried a weight that could crush a lesser man.
“And I swear, you’ll be a dead man.” Micah didn’t flinch.
He didn’t smile, didn’t react in any way that would show the slightest sign of fear.
His eyes remained as cold as ever, and his posture didn’t change in the slightest.
“You should worry about what’s coming for you first,” Micah finally spoke, his voice low and dangerous, a challenge in his tone.
“And stop wasting time on other people.
They’re not the ones you should be concerned about.” Noah’s jaw clenched at the words, but he didn’t let Micah see any weakness.
He turned on his heel, his anger still simmering but now focused inward, tightly controlled.
Every step away from the door felt like a weight lifted from his chest, but the tension still clung to him like a storm cloud.
He didn’t spare Lucas a glance as he stormed past the upperclassman, who stood silently at the end of the hallway, watching him with something close to apprehension.
Noah’s hands curled into fists at his sides, the urge to lash out still thrumming through him, but he had enough self-control to stay focused.
For now, he would leave Micah to his games-but Noah knew he’d be back.
He wasn’t finished with him.
And this time, the fight wouldn’t be about words.
He walked faster, the anger still boiling under the surface, and as he turned the corner, he didn’t look back.
___ Later that evening, Noah stood alone on a rooftop, his chest heaving as the world below him felt distant, almost surreal.
He’d used Void Blink to get here, wanting space, needing space-something away from the noise of his thoughts, from the tension of the academy.
The breeze tugged at his clothes, but he barely noticed.
His mind was elsewhere.
‘What the hell is going on?
Kelvin did all that… for me?
Why?
What did I ever do to deserve that kind of loyalty?’ He clenched his fists, looking out over the vast city ahead, the distant lights twinkling like stars.
‘He risked everything, getting involved in that mess with Micah…
to protect me.
He framed Micah, and I didn’t even know.
All these years, and I didn’t know he was taking all that shit on his shoulders.’ His thoughts kept spiraling, unable to escape the feeling of guilt gnawing at his gut.
‘I should’ve noticed.
I should’ve been paying attention to what he was going through.
All this time, I never asked about his struggles.
And now he’s in this deep.’ He ran a hand through his hair, frustration building inside him.
‘And then there’s Micah.
What the hell is up with that guy?
He’s hiding something, I know it.
He’s been acting weird, cryptic, warning me about something.
What does he know?
Could he have been the one who sold me out to Albright?
Or is it someone else?
Someone I overlooked?
Someone even closer than him?’ Noah growled under his breath, a bitter taste in his mouth.
‘It could be Micah, sure.
But what if it’s not?
What if I’ve been looking in the wrong direction this whole time?
It could be someone from within the academy, someone I don’t even see coming.
Maybe they’ve been pulling the strings all along.’ His fists tightened again, anger bubbling up.
‘I’m so damn tired of being played.
I’m not gonna let anyone screw with me like this anymore.
I won’t stand for it.’ The thought of tomorrow’s school gala flickered in his mind.
Sophie Reign, his girlfriend, would be there, no doubt looking stunning in whatever dress she chose.
She’d be there, the center of attention, the star of the night.
And he?
He’d be stuck in this mess, boiling with rage, unable to focus on anything other than the tangled web of lies and manipulations.
‘She deserves better than this.
Better than me, caught up in all of this mess.’ His mind flashed to Sophie-her smile, the way her eyes sparkled when she was around him.
The way she made everything feel right, even when everything else was falling apart.
‘Tomorrow, she’ll be there.
She’ll be ready, looking amazing… and here I am, worrying about every damn thing except the one thing I’m supposed to care about.
Sophie.’ Noah exhaled sharply, trying to steady his breathing.
He had to clear his mind.
He had to focus.
‘I’ll deal with this.
Whatever’s coming, I’ll handle it.
But I need to know who the hell is behind all this.
Who’s playing me?’ The wind picked up, tugging at his hair as he stood alone on the rooftop, the night stretching endlessly before him.
