Chapter 216: Sanctuary Area & Labyrinth Monthly Event (4/4), Rescheduling
[Challenge Completed]
[Time taken to kill all monsters: 2 minutes and 45 seconds.]
[Score: 784,390]
‘Mhmm,’ Almond looked at the timing and score and shook his head.
‘Nah, if an old monster tried this, they would pass me. But I did this challenge to improve myself as I wanted to fight with a particular mindset.’
‘I’ll have to try with some of my Spirit Wraiths next time…once I have powered up myself as much as possible,’ Almond’s eyes glinted.
Not all Spirit wraiths would be able to fight in this challenge because all monsters on this challenge of Devouring Mountain Wail were Epic rank, and there were roughly a thousand.
The thing was, the challenge would “slightly” change every time someone made an attempt—new monsters, new placements, but the same number of monsters.
The only ones who would be able to aid him in fighting without dragging his speed were Galvaren, Sylvia, Nyssara, Benedict, and Ashkar, and he would have to give them armor sets to be able to affect the Epic-rank monsters properly with their skills since they were only in Gold-rank with way lower stats.
They were too weak.
Almond looked at the blue field as he returned back from the challenge dimension and thought, ‘If Galvaren and other humanoid spirit wraiths can learn to use Mana techniques, they will get very strong.’
Almond’s eyes glinted, ‘Maybe they can? But their physiology is completely different, so the methods that we humans use won’t work on them.’
‘I’ll have to look into this, but not now,’ Almond opened his status window and saw the exit portal option.
‘Good thing we can leave and enter anytime,’ Almond wryly smiled as he left.
Almond knew everyone could enter the Sanctuary Area anytime through Labyrinth Gates, with the entry point being the periphery area, and also exit anytime via status, returning to the gate from which they entered.
But there were exceptions, like when Labyrinth imposed restrictions during Floor Boss or other things.
During Floor Boss fights on the latest floors or some kind of event, the Labyrinth would forcefully kick out everyone from the Sanctuary Area and close it.
That had happened in his past life, so Almond was sure it would also happen here when such times arrived.
…
After returning to the courtyard, he saw that Lily and the other two were gone, so he knew they had gone to check out the Sanctuary Area.
Arriving in the Revelation Pavilion, Almond sat down cross-legged and took out an Insight Stone.
‘The next S-rank dungeon raid is in Proximax guild’s territory, and it’s starting tonight. If I use this, I won’t be able to participate.’
‘But there are more S-rank dungeons anyway…ugh, fuck it.’
Almond dialed up Admiral Rudra, but then he rubbed his face on his forehead, ‘stupid me. He must be in the Sanctuary Area challenging that Palace territory.’
But he didn’t want to stay idle, so he got up and was about to solo train with his sword by visualization.
However, just as he descended, he got a call from Julian.
[Almond: What’s up? How’s the training going?]
[Julian: I just woke up from using the Advanced skill scroll and saw the Event. I’m going to use Insight Stone now since that’s the only other resource I have left. I called to ask if you knew how to use this stone properly or if you figured out something about it.]
[Almond: What do you want to use it for?]
[Julian: Maybe to get an element? I have A-rank mastery over the Fire element. I just broke through it naturally from B to A two days ago, and the element I chose from my Elemental Imprint is Inferno, which is a combination of Wind plus Fire.]

[Almond: Yeah, that’s best for you to increase your overall power. But hold onto your Insight Stone for now.]
[Julian: Hold onto it for now…you mean I should use it once I complete the last quest of my Legacy Roll?]
[Almond: Exactly.]
[Julian: So, two days it is. Alright, see you later. I’m going to train as much as I can until then and improve in Inferno Elemental Mastery.]
Julian’s last quest to get his Legacy Roll was defeating the 6th Floor’s Floor boss.
‘Once Julian uses his Legacy Roll, he’s going to get very powerful for sure,’ Almond thought with a nod. ‘Though I don’t know what exactly it does, but its description was powerful. Maybe he might get a new specialized class because his current one is bad.’
Julian was improving rapidly in overall combat ability, his talent was blooming, especially after his Primary class upgraded to S-rank during the tournament, but he lacked a strong specialized class that could become another source of power to explore for himself.
His upgraded primary class was S-rank— Heavilist Swordweaver, but he had messed up in building his specialized class sightly, only getting a B-rank class: Sword Slave, due to his mental state and different ideas during his second specialized class quest.
So, this Legacy roll was going to switch it up for him.
…
An hour later, while Almond was still solo training, Lily, Natalia, and Mira returned.
“Hey, Almond, which place did you pick for us?” Natalia asked as she went into the Revelation pavilion.
“I’m also curious,” Lily nodded.
Meanwhile, Mira gulped upon seeing Almond’s bare upper body with lean, shredded muscles and glittering with sweat.
‘No, no…’ Mira quickly moved her gaze to his eyes, “There were so many cool territories there in the Throne section, right?”
“Yeah, the one I chose for us is Mountain of Radiant Zenith,” Almond grinned.
“Oh, that one,” Lily blinked and nodded as she grinned upon remembering the mountain, “Alright, I am satisfied with that.”
“But will you be able to keep the best score on it?” Natalia cheekily said, “You gotta work hard since someone might cross that score.”
“Some old monster already broke my time, don’t know who.” Almond wryly smiled. “I got a notification half an hour ago that someone broke my record. I cleared it within 2 minutes and 45 seconds, but the new record is 1 minute and 42 seconds.”
“That’s a big gap,” Mira weakly smiled.
“Oi, you can break it in the next five days, right?” Natalia snorted.
“He will,” Lily grinned.
“Indeed, I will,” Almond grinned.
Both of them knew about their Weapon Art’s power, so the moment they learned it, their combat power was going to go up a new realm.
“Anyway, wh-”
*Ring*
Almond suddenly got a call, interrupting him, but it was a call he was waiting for.
[Rudra: What’s up, brat? I heard you were in the Throne section, haha. You want a place for yourself there?]
Almond grinned.
[Almond: I want, and I’ll take one for sure. But that aside, I called you earlier to tell you that I won’t enter today’s S-rank dungeon raid. In fact, I won’t be free until the Labyrinth’s fourth cycle ends, so you can cancel my entry in those days.]
[Rudra: Alright. But you said you absolutely need those, so…]
[Almond: Yep, I need them, and that’s why I have to clear sixteen S-rank dungeons in the last three days or four if we include 28th December’s entire day of this month.]
[Rudra:….and you want me to arrange sixteen S-rank dungeon raids from 28th to 31st December?]
[Almond: Yes. How possible does this sound?]
[Rudra: Very impossible. But GAA has 4 S-rank Dungeons already, and I’ll keep them and others that spawn in our territory for you as long as I can, but for others…you need to show something worthy to convince them to raid multiple S-rank Dungeons daily according to your schedule on the last days of this month.]
[Almond: I’ll think of something once my party returns after finishing the 6th Floor Heroic Challenge. For now, I’ll be going completely off to train.]
[Rudra: Not joining your own auction?]
[Almond: Nope. Waste of time. Just send me the money, haha.]
“Ladies, are you all joining the auction or training?” Almond asked Lily and others after cutting off the call.
“Training of course,” Lily cracked her neck and sat cross-legged on the mattress properly before taking out an Insight Stone.
“True, our Heroic Raid is in two days, we gotta be prepared,” Natalia grinned and sat down as well.
Mira clenched her fist, determined, “I will master the Vaylith element and get powerful!”
“Good,” Almond nodded. “I’m going to shower and return here.”
“Shower? Wait, I’m coming,” Lily vanished and emerged from Almond’s shadow with an enchanting smile as she caressed her finger on his chest. “Now, we can go.”
Almond grinned and used Espada Ad Grimveil, vanishing from the Garden of Peace and arriving in their luxurious bathroom in the castle.
“Humph, rabbits in heat,” Natalia snorted. “Anyway, we should start, Mira.”
“R-Right.”
