Chapter 259: First Encounter [Bonus Chapter]
“That’s right, and time is of the essence. They gave our tribe one day to deliver the statue.”
“If you can really bring back my people, this tribe will become your loyal ally in conquering this region.”
“Interesting,” Almond smiled. “Tell me, where is the Serpensha tribe?”
“It’s 43 kilometers northeast from here.”
“Gotcha. Wait for the good news.”
Almond left and went in the said direction, quickly teleporting constantly until he saw the tribe within his domain’s range.
This tribe had jade-stone structures, mostly black and green.
Almond had hidden himself within a space layer, completely turning himself invisible to others as he basically exited from the dimension.
However, the mana drain was quite high despite his powerful mana regeneration and reduced mana consumption. It was costing him 55 Mana per second.
‘I guess it requires this much mana to preserve my body in this layer and keep me parallel to the material plane.
‘Still, space elemental masters can indeed become fearsome assassins with this type of invisibility.’
Almond infiltrated the tribe and soon found the location where the snake-humanoid Serpensha tribe imprisoned the people of the Paglan Tribe.
‘Just cuffs that disrupt Mana flow, preventing them from using skills, and imprisoning formation, eh?’
Almond blinked and forcefully teleported the captives as a loud siren began ringing.
However, Almond quickly scurried away.
‘Too easy. Now, we have two tribes in alliance, but wait…’ Almond fell into thought. ‘Hmmm, after returning these people back to the Paglan Tribe, I should make an official visit here.’
The people of the Paglan tribe were shocked and panicked, as they didn’t know what was happening.
However, Almond appeared out of invisible and calmed them down while explaining them about their situation and his deal with their tribe.
“Thank you for saving us!”
“Thank you, human warrior.”
…
After Almond dropped them off, Almond went to the Serpensha Tribe again.
This time, he went to one of their front gates and was stopped by the guards.
“I wish to seek an audience with your tribe’s chief.”
“For what?”
“Alliance, so that we can defeat other tribes and unify this region under one banner.”
“Wait here.”
Shortly afterward, Almond saw the tribe chief, a white-scaled humanoid with black hair on its serpent head, wearing a light-weight metal armor.
‘Damn, a snake with hair.’
Suddenly, Almond’s eyes flickered as he felt several powerful presences entering within the range of his domain.

‘Elves! But what’s with this variety?’
‘And they are coming here…’
Almond’s eyes glinted.
First contact with people of one of the three worlds and their relationship was already established as enemies!
“Human, I am in a bad mood, so you better choose your words wisely,” the tribe chief coldly said as he stopped at 5 meters away from Almond.
Almond raised his eyebrows. ‘Well, the source of your bad mood is none other than me, and I don’t care.’
“Some people are coming here to attack your tribe. They are elves.”
“What?!” the tribe chief frowned. “Why would they attack us?”
“Because they like snake soup and other dishes made from snakes.”
“Hiss!!”
“How dare you!”
“Not him, idiot, it’s the elves.”
“How dare those elves think about eating us?!”
The guards and other people that came with the chief fumed with fury.
Almond internally snickered. ‘Good, they are riled up.’
“Look, they are coming, riding on that big bird!”
Almond pointed at the sky to his left.
Everyone looked there and indeed saw a huge bird over fifty meters long with a wingspan of over a hundred meters.
On it, Almond saw five elves, all of them Gold level 100, but had different races within the elves.
Two were dark elves, two were normal-looking elves with smooth peach skin, and the last one was a red-skinned elf.
“Why are they looking at us?”
“Huh? Isn’t that a human?”
“He must be from Planet Earth!”
“Kill him,” the male dark elf with lavish leather armor coldly said as he immediately conjured his bow and aimed an arrow at Almond.
“Attack them!” the tribe chief angrily barked seeing that, while the dark elf also shot an arrow that streaked with spiraling black energy around it with dark green stripes.
Almond leisurely waved his hand, devouring the arrow when it was halfway by conjuring Devouring Veil on its coming trajectory.
The Serpensha Tribe people began hurling long-range attacks at them as the bird paused when it was two hundred meters away while staying three hundred meters in the sky.
“Fuck, that tribe must be allied with that human.”
“What do we do?”
The barriers blocked the attacks while the elves discussed what to do.
The leader was the dark elf who shot an arrow, and he quickly came to a decision with an icy glint in his eyes, “Nesha, you got your kingdom’s artifact with you, right?”
The red-skinned elf with a slender and busty figure raised her eyebrows upon hearing him. “It has a cooldown of three days. Should we really use it right now, El?”
“Yeah, I don’t think we need to use that, El.”
Leveraum El—the strongest gold-ranker of the Eldoren world. He was also the Midnight Empire’s archduke’s son.
The one to do the 128,403 score in the war participating trial shortly after Lily and took her spot. Naturally, the rankings had changed more after that, and the second spot belonged to a draconite powerhouse with a 153,200 score after that, but that didn’t matter anymore.
“Use it,” Leveraum said. “Rain destruction on them. We aren’t leaving without doing anything now that we’ve seen some enemies.”
Almond was watching them, not making any move, but he didn’t intend to let them escape now that they were here.
Suddenly, he saw the red-skinned elf taking out a strange red-metal torch carved with black patterns and dark red flame lighting up brightly.
‘What’s that?’ Almond narrowed his eyes, using his All-Seeing Eyes.
[Cursed Flamesse Torche]
-Type: Artifact
-Tier: 4
-Effect:
—> Unleashes a catastrophic sea of flames within a 200-meter radius that uses everything it touches as fuel to burn more intensely.
‘Fuck, an Artifact of Tier-4?’ Almond was dumbfounded.
The red-skinned elf infused mana in it, but Almond immediately acted, vanishing and arriving right above the group.
“Nope, you are not using that.”
The elves looked up, shocked.
A golden dragon was diving as Almond used Rising Dragon’s Roar battle art, but instead of normal lightning blades like before, the storm of blades whirling its formation was a storm of tiny severance blades enchanted with other elements!
However, the necklace worn by Leveraum El suddenly glowed as a powerful barrier encased the entire bird, blocking the attack.
*BOOM!*
The bird plummeted with the impact, but the barrier stood strong.
‘The fuck, another artifact?’
“Use it now, Nesha!” El barked at the red-skinned elf, who pointed the torch at the tribe.
A thumb-sized red dot manifested at the center of the tribe where she aimed, which started pouring out flames.
“You must be Almond,” El looked at Almond and icily grinned, “Your attack must be something if it forced my artifact to activate on its own.”
“Now, you can either follow us to get killed or scram.”
Almond floated above the barrier and looked at them before glancing at the pouring flames in the tribe and panicking Serpensha people.
He knew his attacks wouldn’t be able to breach this barrier, not unless it deactivated.
Almond looked at Leveraum El and smiled, albeit very frostily, “Next time I see you, I’ll cut you into one million parts.”
After saying that, he vanished, teleporting the pouring flames at the water source 3.7 kilometers to the northwest.
