Chapter 295: Survival (5)
‘Let’s see its Ability Power. I have poured my everything into this one ability for ultimate offense, so it gotta be highest among others I got.’
Almond accessed his wristband and checked the Voidblade Catastrophe’s Ability Power measured by the device.

‘Noice. And my rank…’

‘I got 300 points for killing that bird? Awesome! Alright, I know what I need to do now.’
Almond teleported in front of Malin and said, “We are done here.”
Manlin snapped out of his reverie upon seeing Almond appearing out of nowhere and screamed before falling on his butt.
“Get your shit together. We have to find a place to recover our soul seas,” Almond snorted.
“R-Right.”
Malin stood up and began following Almond with questions in his mind, like who the fuck was this guy?
‘He used an attack of that level with such a huge amount of Prana… yeah, his control must be highest among the other participants, that’s for sure. I don’t know his stats, but his bodily aura is weaker than mine, and I don’t sense bloodline in him, which means…’
Malin gulped. ‘He must have created some powerful technical assets to create sequences that resulted in that level of attack. I am curious about its Ability Power.’
“Give me ten thousand Prana. You must have twenty thousand in your Prana Sea anyway.”
“Right away, boss Almond.”
Almond raised an eyebrow at the tone change of Malin but didn’t comment on that.
After receiving Prana, Almond expanded his domain as much as he could, which was a 1-kilometer radius range at the heavy expense of 100 Prana per second.
But Almond found a spot and teleported him and Malin in the cavern on the mountain. They were already at the border of a different area where snow was falling, with small mountains and hills with greenery covered in snow with icy ponds, lakes, and other things in the area.
After entering the cavern, Almond sat cross-legged and began recovering his Soul Sea and Prana Sea.
The moment his soul sea recovers from soul energy, he would use it to refine wild prana and refill his Prana Sea.
Once he filled his Prana Sea fully, he filled his soul sea entirely before opening his eyes.
“How long will you take to recover both seas completely?”
“Just five more minutes, boss.”
‘Five minutes, huh? I took ten minutes to recover both fully, and he needs just five more to recover his seas, which are five times bigger than mine,’ Almond sighed.
Almond was tempted to ask about Malin’s soul art, which was most likely the general soul art every new student gets from the academy, but he didn’t ask for it as he didn’t have time to learn.

“We are staying here for an hour, so get rest after recovery.”
“Eh? Why?”
“You don’t need to know.”
“Roger. And know that I am your true ally now, boss. If you want me to do something, I’ll do it.”
Almond turned to him, feeling weird at Malin’s servitude. “Why?”
Malin grinned and said, “I’ll be honest. You are a promising student in the academy, and for my survival, I’d like to swear allegiance to you.”
“Suit yourself,” Almond dismissively said before closing his eyes and entering full focus.
He had to understand the principles of his primary class, or he would lose all those juicy skills and, most importantly, his summons.
‘That must not happen.’
Almond didn’t feel this desperate before. The cat told him his primary class could vanish at any time, so his priority has changed to making his primary class source completely his.
Inside his source power, he delved his consciousness into his primary class’s source to understand its principles and powers.
‘Spirits… they are the complete information body containing memories and experience of a target that died. Suppose Grimworld’s power supported it and created spirits of beings that died within a certain range of my presence, but for me to actively achieve that, what do I need to do?’
‘What is the sequence that Grimworld created for that skill to work?’
‘The answer is in this class source, and I have to grasp it.’
Almond dived into the broken skill runes, and with his All-Seeing Eyes, he began deciphering it while feeling the primary class’s source.
An hour passed by, and soon, an alarm clock rang that Almond had set in his mind by creating a simple magic sequence.
Opening his eyes, he looked at his rank and saw that it dropped to 15th.
“Let’s go. It’s time to hunt monsters.”
“Finally.” Malin got up and began stretching. “Well, I also trained in my Prana Art for an hour and got a wee bit powerful by increasing my Prana Sea by a point.”
“Your job is to give me Prana when I say. As long as you do that, I am good, you alive.”
“Roger.”
The duo continued roaming and killing monsters for several hours before resting again.

‘Not enough. I am killing monsters fast and also using Malin’s Prana sea, but there are others who are finding and killing monsters faster.’
Almond sat down cross-legged on a large tree’s wide branch, which was their resting area.
“How long are we staying here for, an hour?” Malin asked.
“Two hours,” Almond said before closing his eyes.
Almond dived into his class source again.
It was a space made of colorful particles, chaotically moving and streaming around. The majority of the colors that glowed were black, green, and red.
Almond could feel something akin to an Intent in this space and some specific power that acted in these streams of particles.
‘I need to look deeper…’
Almond observed the particles and tried to observe them deeper, to uncover what they did and their power.
But the moment he did that and succeeded, darkness enveloped Almond, and a pair of eyes lit up, giant and looking at him. The outline of a beastly face appeared, and its mouth opened, showing a dreadful whirlpool about to devour everything.
Almond’s eyes shot open with heavy breathing and sweat all over his face.
‘What the fuck was that? Was that my primary class’s origin or what? It kind of looked similar to the maw whirlpool in Spirit Forge Factory that eats spirit and spews out items, but this one was several times more terrifying.’
Almond looked around and saw that Malin was nowhere to be found.
‘Did he escape?’ Almond narrowed his eyes. ‘Too bad, you can’t escape.’
Almond had marked Malin with something that would show his traces in space after he opened Espada Ad Grimveil’s domain.
And by tracing those traces, he would easily find Malin, even if he had to spend a bit of Prana to teleport and use the domain because it was worth it. Malin was his reservoir of energy, and without him, it would have been hard to reach the top 10, given that he was also spending time comprehending his primary class’s source.
However, just as Almond was about to open his domain, he felt a presence in the sky and saw Malin dropping down from the sky and landing on the branch.
“Sup, boss. It’s been only half an hour. You done already?”
“No. Where did you go?”
“I went to get some fruits and veggies. Since we are resting, I might as well cook something with meat instead of just eating meat only.”
Almond nodded, “Alright, continue.”
After saying that, he went back to focus on his primary class.
