‘I need complete information of their powers, not just memories and experience.’

‘Wait…’ Almond’s eyes suddenly lit up. ‘Complete information of powers… there’s one place where there is complete information of all powers and everything!’

“Arcane Eidos!”

Malin was walking towards Almond after storing the meat of bears and was startled at the sudden shout.

“What happened, Boss?”

“Nothing, but we aren’t fighting the special monster for now,” Almond said and opened his domain briefly. After finding a big tree at the periphery of the Oasis, he said. “We need to rest a bit.”

‘I have to figure out how to scan someone else’ Arcane Eidos with my All-Seeing Eyes. Only then will I be able to get a Spirit of beings I kill.’

Almond knew that Grimworld was working behind the scenes to produce spirits for him, even for the monsters that he didn’t kill. After he got his class, it just produced spirits for him, thanks to his class source.

But that wasn’t possible anymore. From now on, he would have to be present and actively create a Spirit of dead beings.

After arriving on the tree branch and sitting cross-legged, Almond closed his eyes, his brain going hyperdrive.

Once he figured out this last piece of the puzzle, he planned to create a passive ability with a sequence that would absorb a Spirit of beings he kills.

And the reason Almond postponed the special monster’s hunting was none other than wanting its Spirit.

“Why is that guy always wasting time meditating? He is at 16th rank now.”

“But he is powerful. His abilities are so powerful.”

“Those snakes are crazy fast. They would match Benito’s offensive abilities in terms of speed. What do you say?”

“Benito is the second rank, with not much difference from the first rank. This Almond guy isn’t a match for him.”

“The new bet was him reaching the top 10 with some nice odds, and I put all my money on it. I hope he reaches there.”

“Pfff, your money’s gone.”

The audience was watching Almond and judging him, much like other participants.

Meanwhile, Madam Ruby in the VIP booth said upon seeing Almond entering, meditating again.

“Impact?” Big D laughed. “I don’t know how close he is to figuring out his primary class, but I know what kind of class it is and its origin, which belongs to none other than Oblivion, The Forgotten Maw. Once he grasps this class in its true essence…”

“Well, even I don’t know how it will impact him. Oblivion is far stronger than the likes of me.”

“Oblivion…” Madam Ruby muttered. “I am kind of envious of people on the first layer. They are observed by beings of the third layer and get powers freely.”

“And they die easily, and they need to clear Grimworld’s Tutorial to make their world ascend to the second layer.” Big D rolled his eyes. “And most of them fail to grasp the power they’ve been given theirs, so they need to learn and train a lot after coming here.”

“True, not everyone is like this little monster,” Madam Ruby chuckled as she looked at Almond. “I can’t wait to see his growth spurt once he truly enters the academy.”

“That said, I sent a clone of me down there to his world,” Big D said, his expression thoughtful. “It was caught by the external overseer after it passed through the layer, so I couldn’t enter into his world, but I talked with that bald overseer and found something interesting.”

“What?” Madam Ruby asked as she blinked, curious.

“The internal overseer of Almond’s world was the one that set up the phase 1 event where the other three worlds also have Arcane Champions. It’s because of some kind of betting between big shots that those four worlds out of thousands of others connected to each other to create clashes of four Arcane Champions.”

“That aside, Hollowstar is doing its best to eat those worlds as per that External Overseer’s words, and they are planning to make a move sooner on Almond’s world since they found out he has been absent for many days.”

Madam Ruby frowned and sighed. “A small part of me wishes that Hollowstar succeeds because it would only fuel Almond’s growth as he is not the one to become depressed and lose will.”

“But that would be too cruel,” Madam Ruby shook her head. “He had lost everything before and still fought before getting this new beautiful life with people that he cherishes.”

Big D slapped Madam Ruby’s head and said, “Almond may not lose his will even if his world is destroyed again, but if that happened, he would change forever, and even if that change makes him reach new heights, it wouldn’t be a good tale to tell.”

“If he failed to protect his world,” Big D narrowed his eyes and added. “I will kill him.”

Madam Ruby was shocked. “Why?”

“Because I fear that he would create more loss for others after losing everything in his path to power.”

Madam Ruby turned silent. “Is it because of his affinity with Void? Do you think he will become a disaster like Marco? Almond isn’t like him.”

“I know. Marco was a scum and he brought down billions with his rampage. I lost my friends, family, and everything that year. I only regret trusting him, and I won’t make the same mistake,” Big D sighed. “Almond needs to protect his world and those he loves. He loses them, he will lose the good in him in his path to power and become like Marco in a way.”

“Well…I think he would forge new connections and won’t turn ruthless like Marco, but I think it’s wrong to assume how one would turn out,” Madam Ruby wryly smiled. “Anyway, do we have any means to help?”

“Ultimately, it’d be up to him because only he can clash against other Arcane Champions, but I am thinking…” Big D said, his cat eyes appearing deep in thought while watching Almond on the screen.
