Re: Evolution Online - Chapter 1384
Chapter 1384: Event starts Chapter 1384: Event starts Liam immediately returned to the purple world after the brief excursion to the training planet.
The date was fast approaching and he did not have any more time to waste.
Every single minute counted and he needed to make the most of it.
After a lot of thought, he split the remaining time into two parts.
He first focussed on preparing some potions for the event.
Anything that was concocted personally could be taken into the system event.
This was the rule.
So he spent the time on it.
During the rest of the days, he roamed in the vast selection of sword manuals and techniques in the Eternal Sword Palace.
His combat skills were sorely lacking and he wanted to do something about it.
However, in the end, he was not able to make much progress in such a short amount of time.
This time could have been spent on something better but there was no use trying to cry over spilled milk.
He was as prepared for the event as he would ever be.
Soon the day of the system event arrived.
Liam fished out the token and held it in his palm as he silently sat down and centered his mind.
In front of him, Luna was pacing back and forth nervously. “Master, do you think I will be allowed inside or not?” “Master, I am very strong.
I can be very useful.” “Master!!!!” Liam sighed helplessly watching the pout on the little girl’s face.
It was always amusing to see Luna in her girl form. She did not want anyone to get suspicious about her so she decided to roam around the compound in the sword palace district in her human form.
She informed Liam that her masking was better in this form and her aura was hidden.
Liam was cautious but if the fox was so confident, he was inclined to trust her and so far no trouble had come knocking on their doorstep.
He still did not allow her to step out of the compound but as long as it was within these walls, he let her roam free.
Naturally, the fox took full advantage of the situation.
She dined like a queen and was treated like a queen by the servants and the attendants.
She continued to play the part of a spoilt young mistress to perfection.
Liam took another look at her and simply shook his head before closing his eyes and meditating.
Time ticked by and a couple of hours later, the token in his hand started vibrating. “Here we go.
Desolate lands legacy event.” Liam signaled Luna and the fox immediately dismissed herself, settling back into the small nook in Liam’s soul space that was her designated resting location.
The duo decided that the odds of being able to take Luna into the system event would be higher if she acted like a summoned beast.
Liam then glanced at the vibrating token.
The next instant his eyes widened in shock.

The greenish black token in his hand without any warning started turning gold. He might have not known what this meant before but after having spent a good amount of time in the Eternal Sword Palace, he now had a decent idea about many things.
The token turning gold like this could only mean one thing.
Liam’s heart rate sped up as he stared at the token in his hand, his fingers tightening around it involuntarily.
The once unremarkable greenish-black surface now shimmered with a golden glow, pulsing like a heartbeat in his palm. This was no ordinary system event.
This was a Golden Tier Event.
His breath hitched.
The weight of the token suddenly felt heavier, the implications sinking in.
Golden Tier Events were exceedingly rare, their rewards unparalleled, but so were the risks. Only those deemed worthy by the system, those who had achieved something extraordinary, were granted entry.
And once inside, there was no guarantee of survival.
The trials would be beyond anything he had faced before.
So why did this ordinary event turn golden?
For a brief moment, Liam felt the tug of uncertainty.
Had he prepared enough?
His combat skills were still lacking compared to the true masters.
His alchemy had improved, but was it enough to grant him an edge?
He had come far, but against the monstrous challenges that a Golden Tier Event would hold, was he truly ready?
He exhaled sharply, pushing the doubt aside.
It didn’t matter.
He had always thrived under pressure, and this time would be no different.
There was no backing out.
The system had chosen to turn this ordinary event into something extraordinary, and he would face whatever was ahead head-on.
Luna peeked from within the soul space, sensing his surge of emotions.
“Master?” her voice was small, uncertain for the first time.
Liam forced a smirk.
“Looks like we just got invited to something special,” he muttered.
“Stay close, Luna.
Things are about to get interesting.” The golden light from the token intensified, wrapping around him like a cocoon.
The world blurred, and his vision flooded with radiance.
Then, with a sharp pull, he felt himself being yanked from the realm of the living into the unknown.
And just like that, Liam vanished from the compound in the Eternal Sword Palace quarters.
His vision darkened and his insides twisted and after a few seconds, everything returned to normal.
Briefly, that was.
The moment his feet touched solid ground, a crushing force bore down on Liam, nearly bringing him to his knees.
The air around him was thick, charged with a suffocating pressure that made even breathing an effort.
His vision, though restored, revealed nothing but an endless void stretching infinitely in every direction.
Liam clenched his fists, forcing his body to adjust.
This… this was different.
He had expected to be transported to a battlefield, a dungeon, or even a grand arena-something tangible, something real.
But this?
This was something entirely beyond his understanding.
He quickly activated his dao field and only after erecting a complete dao field, he was able to somewhat stabilize himself and take a look around.
