Even with all these alerts from the Fate change system singing loudly in his head, Chiron gritted his teeth. He did not back off.
As Chiron’s audacious defiance against the gods unfolded within the ethereal trance, its repercussions resonated through the very fabric of the physical world.
The temple, rooted in ancient power and sanctity, trembled with an intensity that echoed the cosmic standoff. This was no mere quiver of fear or anticipation; it was a violent convulsion, a manifestation of the clash between mortal ambition and divine will.
The mountain range itself seemed to resonate with this tumult, its ancient bones rattling in a symphony of upheaval. Above, the once serene Aurora, a celestial tapestry of peace and beauty, transformed into a chaotic maelstrom, mirroring the tempestuous sea in its fury and unrest.
Meanwhile, Abel, the corpulent ambassador from the Holy Church, was jolted from his tranquil tea-drinking by the sudden and inexplicable surge of energies. Sequestered in his quarters provided by Barbara, Abel had been content in the belief that his machinations were unfolding according to plan.
His schemes were grand—securing power for Barbara, enthroning Victor as king of Vandoria, and extending the Holy Church’s dominion. Such machinations, if successful, promised elevation for him and his twin sister, Cain, upon their return to the Holy City.
However, the tumultuous flow of energies—spiritual, divine, and aura—unsettled him deeply.
The earth itself seemed to wail in distress, a testament to the unnatural forces at play. Abel, astute and far from naive, recognized the portents of something profoundly amiss. Driven by a sense of urgency, he burst from his room, seeking to discern the cause of the celestial and terrestrial chaos.
What greeted him was a sky in turmoil, a vista of cosmic disorder that prompted a single, alarmed thought: “What the hell is happening up there?”
His instincts propelled him towards the mountain, a need to witness the source of this disturbance firsthand. Yet, his journey was abruptly halted by a menacing cry that split the air, followed by a blast of fire directed with lethal intent.
Abel’s agility, belied by his girth, allowed him to evade the fiery onslaught, a move that saved his life but thrust him into a confrontation of an entirely unexpected nature.
Raising his eyes to identify his assailant, Abel was met with a sight that rooted him to the spot in shock. Before him, commanding the skies with its fearsome presence, was a Dragon.
The appearance of such a mythical creature, especially under these tumultuous circumstances, was a revelation in itself. Dragons, creatures of legend and power, were not known to meddle in the affairs of men.
Abel, caught in the midst of this unfolding saga, realized that the game had changed. The emergence of the Dragon was not merely a complication; it was a paradigm shift.
There, dominating the sky, was ‘HIS’ Dragon—a creature of legends, purportedly extinct, yet undeniably real and menacing before him. This was no ordinary dragon; it was the Red Blood-Fire Dragon, a being linked to the most notorious ‘Devil child’ of the Holy Church—Chiron himself.
After letting it rest all this time, Chiron had tasked it with sentry duty.
Despite its relatively young age, the dragon exuded a presence that was both majestic and terrifying. Its scales shimmered in shades of deep, menacing red, each plate a testament to its elemental affinity with fire and Blood. At the center of its chest, a core pulsed with an inner light, a heart of flame that seemed to fuel its very essence.
Large and imposing, the dragon commanded the sky with an authority that belied its months of existence. Flames licked off its wings in sporadic bursts, a visual echo of the inferno that danced within its maw, lighting up its visage with a fearsome glow.
Its eyes, locked onto Abel with predatory intensity, glowed with a malevolent intelligence. In that gaze, Abel saw not just a creature of brute force, but a guardian, a protector of its master’s will, ready to unleash devastation upon those who threatened its domain.
Abel was not a Fool. The moment he recognized the dragon, he knew what it meant. It meant that Somehow, Chiron was present here.
However, according to his knowledge, that should not be so. After all, Chiron should be a captivate of the Chanland Kingdom. In fact, he should be awaiting death.
And if there was any change to this, The King of the Chanland Kingdom should have informed him.
Then again, there was a report that Chiron had let go all of his servants. Was it possible that this particular dragon having being set free had been drawn towards this mountain.
But even that did not seem likely.
This was a dragon with affinity for both Blood and fire. At best, it should be causing destruction somewhere to increase its strength and intelligence level.

But one look at it and Abel could tell that it was protecting something.
This, he had to find out.
Immediately, he activated his technique as he instantly sank into the earth like water dissolving in a sponge.
However, the Red Blood-Fire dragon opened its mouth again, firing its blast at another location.
*BOOM!*
From within that location fell out Abel. He rolled over to the side.
Before he could get himself together, yet another blast of fire was fired to his head.
yet again, his quick reflexes saved his life as he somersaulted again and again, in attempt to keep away from the Dragon’s range.
At this point, a subtle realization hit him in the head. Even though he could pass through the matter of the Earth, the Red Blood-Fire Dragon can still find him within the earth.
Also, the beast did not chase. Instead, it only acted as a guardian.
And then it happened. An explosion that removed the top half of the Mountain. Abel suddenly had a forbidding feeling…
