Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 392
Chapter 392: The Meeting
The Chief Shaman heard those words and she could not help burst into laughter.
“That must be some fate you have in him.” The Shaman added.
However, Nora could not help but look at the chief Shaman like she was looking at a fool.
It was like a child of ignorance saying that he was going to throw a stone up and it would not fall back to the earth. Those were very brazen words.
This was how Nora felt. For her, it was basically reality. She was not being overbearing with her words, neither was she being prideful. It was practically her own reality.
For her, it was her Truth.
The chief Shaman chuckled some more, however, seeing the serious look on the girl’s face, she held back on her laughter. After all, it was becoming embarrassing.
The Chief Shaman coughed awkwardly, “you know what, lets shelf that for the time being.” she gave some more dry coughs, “there is someone of incredible importance that would like to have a word with you.”
On saying this, she led Nora along. And then through the temple, they stopped right in front of the biggest stature of the Bear mother in the temple.
Just then, Nora noticed that the chief Shaman’s assistants were suddenly busy all around her. They were busy evacuating the temple.
Soon, it was only Nora and chief Shaman and the temple doors were shut tight.
“is everything okay?” Nora asked in a worry.
The Chief Shaman nodded, “everything is good my dear. It is just that, this particular person is a very very special one. The eyes of…” she paused a bit, “…regular people are not allowed behold such presence.”
At the same time, the temple assistants rushed around the place preparing for something important.
They cleaned the ground with speed and efficiency. And then thick white candles having totems on their bodies were placed in a circle around the stature of the bear mother. Each one, ignited with spiritual energy.
the moment the candles were ignited, they burnt not with the usual yellow flame. but with a blue flame, and swayed left to right like the waves of a sea.
Also, the totems on their bodies seemed to come to life as the totems glowed a distinguishing blue color like the flames that was produced.
Even Nora could tell that some kind of ritual was about to take place, and for some reason she could not understand, she was an integral part of it.
“Don’t worry, about the blue flames. they don’t burn combustible flames, and we only use them at very special occasions. Occasions like a special request to meet you.” The Chief Shaman spoke up.
On saying this, she removed a little bottle from within her long sleeves. This was the same bottle carrying the bait she had used for Chiron before, when she had thought that she could control him.
She had told him that if he were to not join the giant untamed serpent tribe, then she would give him this bottle containing two drops that could heal both himself and his sister.
However, they was an old saying: The bow was only effective when one had not released the arrow. But even worse, the bow was useless if the threat of the arrow was not perceived.
News had already reached her of the things that Chiron had done far off in the Chanland Kingdom.
She was also aware that chiron had now gotten back his hands. The Chief Shaman with her vast experience had taken one look at Chiron back then and knew that he was an ambitious person, driven by only the unquenchable hunger of power.
It was for this reason that she had been confident in her ability to be able to control him. However, now that Chiron had gotten back his hands, there was no way for her to control him any more.
She had no choice but to fall to his sister. Besides, as shaman to the bear mother, she had the privilege of touching the stream of Time once in a while.
And so it began. The Shaman invited Nora to sit in front of the stature of the bear mother, and then instructed her to open her mouth.
One drop was allowed unto her tongue. The moment it touched her tongue, Nora immediately recognized the potent energy within the drop.
However, whether it was spiritual energy or not, was not something that she could tell. But it indeed rushed through her body, and even though she was on dry land, Nora felt as if she had been plunged into a vast stormy ocean and she was about to drown.
Her breathing suddenly increased and she sweated profusely. But the Chief Shaman, sitting behind her, did not let her fall. She had a hand on her back as she gave out instructions.

“Now, Princess, I want you to concentrate your gaze on the Bear mother, and no matter what happens, do not remove your eyes from her image.”
Subconsciously, even though she only felt like sleeping, she found herself listening and obeying those words.
Nora stared at the stature of the bear mother, her gaze remaining on the stature and then all of a sudden, the energy within her staired. And it did so harshly.
It was as if the drop she had taken was transporting her entire being and then the world seemed to come to a crawl all around her. subconsciously, she looked to her side, and the swaying flames of the candles had come to a crawl.
And even a distance away from her, she could see a fly on the wall, but its wings flapped until they slowed down and then it all stopped.
Nora looked ahead of her, and what she saw made her widen her eyes in both surprise and fear. After all, the stature in front of her had transformed into…
