Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 397
Chapter 397: Hadi’s Pain
The dungeons of the Furries were very dark and cold. To make matters worse, the guards would come at intervals to abuse the prisoners in this place.
Some times, they would pour them with water used to clean armor and other times, they would just come for a session of beating. An opportunity to vent their frustrations of being posted to such a terrible place.
Like all the others here, there was no status, no achievements, no beauty, only the physical pain, and smell of shit mixed with piss and pus from wounds untreated.
No one ever treated those in the dungeons with respect. this was much worse for Hadi. After all, he had once lived a far more respectable mind.
He had been the envy of many of his mates, and had been the forward researcher in military weapons that had progressed their countrey of furries to glory.
But because of one mistake. One that he did not even intend for it to happen, he had been forced to live a life of a prisoner.
It had already been a month since that day, and since he got into this place, even his father had not come to visit him. This was the same thing for his so called friends and family.
Such was life. No one wanted to be associated with a failure, much worse a failure like him, a man responsible for the death of his own family, and the attack on the governing body of the Furry Nation.
Truly, there was no saving grace for him. the worse part of it all was that regardless of all his brilliant achievements in the past, he was still sent to this place.
No one did him good in remembrance of his contribution. No! the only thing that anyone knew was that he was that he was the insolent fool that had tried to kill members of the senate.
Such was human nature. Good only existed in the present tense. One wrong was all it took to remove a life time of doing good. No one remembered the past. The only thing that they remembered was that he had hurt them.
It had been a month since that event and as one could guess, the story of what happened that day had been remixed again and again.
Now, he even heard the other prisoners whisper his case. Some said that he was a Devil hungry for blood. Some others said that he was being taken over by his Core beast origins and now, he only wanted to eat the meat of his fellow men.
That last one, many believed because of his nature as a wolf-man.
As Hadi sat on the cold floor of the Furry dungeons, he could not help but remain deep within his thoughts.
That was all he did, day and night. He could barely even sleep, and if he mistakenly did, the image of his sister, lying dead on the ground would hunt him.
It was either that or the shameful glare on his father’s face as he slapped heavily. Either way, this was the worse thing that could have happened to any one.
No one was on his side. No one, except a certain fellow….
On the second week of his imprisonment, someone had been sneaking letters into his potion of the black bread that was being given out.
If not all, the prisoners in the Dungeons were all a unique bunch. Because of their origins, the ones among them that could read were few to none.
In fact, in this Furry country, a good ninety five percent of the population was incapable of reading.
Then again, these were a people that valued strength above all things. Either one was fighting the wars, and gaining respect, or one was farming for crops.
If not for these two options, then it was politics, and one needed to be learned for that to happen.
Also, the position of Senate or any political position was tightly guided by the high echelons of their society.
It couldn’t be helped. Even the furries had greedy people.
For this reason, no one else could read the message that was being sent to him, even if he read it in their midst. However, Hadi still took no chances.
This messages were written with ink that glowed in the dark. Once he was done reading them, he would tear it and swallow it to erase the evidence.
Again and again, the letters would come. Hadi was a man at rock bottom, and these letters were the salvation that reached out to him.
Like a traveler in the desert, hungry for water, he took in their words and digested it all.
At first, Hadi blamed himself. He believed that he was supposed to die for what had happened to his sister, and that he deserved the Fate with which he had been dealt.

However, a man’s environment was the instrument that forged his mind every time, and this letters told him otherwise.
they encourage him, and told him he was a genius. they fed his mind with praise, and even told him to remember his mother.
After all, when he was younger, he had sworn to take revenge on the Vandoria kingdom for her death.
The letters reminded him of that oath that he made, and slowly, his confidence returned.
After which the words that came were an encouragement for him to change the standard status quo of their society, emphasizing why everything was wrong with the Furry society and why it needed to be changed.
It reminded him of his story and how he had not even gotten a fair trial but had been condemned to die a dog’s death in prison.
Coincidentally, many of the prisoners had told their stories, and how they ended up here. Most of them were because they had offended someone of influence or a member of the Senate.
Such was power and influence, and in this place, for the first time in his life, Hadi had met with the corruption of the Senate….
