“Twelve, Commander. The others are still enjoying their holidays in Kendou and were not able to respond in time when you summoned. We left them behind.

We need at least six to mount the engines and fly the Tesseract at all times. This leaves only five, including you, six, to pursue the Kidnappers.

“SHIT!” he slammed against the chair he sat on. however, an idea suddenly came to his head.

“Vangaurd, we are all going Airborne. Let the Tesseract pursue one of them. Every other person should either mount a Flying Core beast, or use a fling Totem if they have any.

Understand that this concerns not only the dignity of the Kingdom, but also the dignity of us, the royal guards. The only Princess of the kingdom has been kidnapped under our nose. If we don’t get her back, we shall suffer the shame of this together.”

“Yes sir!” she and the others answered as they hurried to do as he had requested.

The Tesseract opened up and immediately, piercing screeching sounds could be heard as giant arial core beasts rushed into the sky, in pursuit of the kidnappers.

Some others like Vanguard had the privilege of having Totems that allowed them flight.

They activated them and soared in the sky.

Hardstone used a flying mount.

“Hiyah!” he beckoned on the mount and it rushed into the sky.

The core beast he used was Double Horn Night Eagle.

This creature was a Red core beast. One of the few core beasts in Kendou. For this reason, he rarely used it.

Just then, the Core beast screeched across the sky as it body suddenly gave a red glow.

Commander hardstone was surprised about this jumped off it.

His own core beast glided under him as he fell and he landed perfectly on top of it.

He looked in the direction of the kidnappers core beast. “It is burning its life force to escape!”

Even as he said this, he looked on in disbelief. After all, this was akin to suicide. This core beast was literally killing itself.

All of a sudden, a thought came into his head and he understood what was happening.

These core beast has been pre-breed for this mission. It was always meant to do this, to give its life in order for the escape of these Kidnappers.

On knowing this, he spoke into a totem on his hand. “Catch the core beasts before they escape. They were breed for suicide.”

At the same time, he turned his Double Horn Night Eagle in the direction of the next prey. By now, it had gone hundreds of kilometers further than the rest, but this was a red core beast.
