Chapter 409: Who Will Tell Him
Commander Hardstone’s Four-armed gorilla form came with a punch that just barely managed to graze the creature before him, and with this, it lost control of its flight.

And with that plunged straight to the ground.

“Shit!” The commander cursed again as he dove head first. His goal was not the kidnapper but the luggage that he held tight to his embrace.

Commander Hardstone quickly realized that this kidnapper had no spirit or Aura energy.

The only thing that he had was the same bombs that his colleague had used against the commander earlier on.

Unfortunately, that would not be enough to stop commander Hardstone who was the commander of the royal guards.

Commander Hardstone quickly caught up to the kidnapper in the air, and even though this kidnapper was stronger than a normal person, he was nothing compared to a bronze-ranked warrior like Commander Hardstone.

In no time, the commander had seized the advantage and, with a slap that not only knocked out the Kidnapper’s teeth but also put him to sleep, Commander Hardstone seized the sack from his hand.

Once more, his trusty, Double-Horned Night Eagle rushed to rescue its master before he plummeted to the ground.

Commander Hardstone opened up the bag with much enthusiasm.

However, it was unfortunately the same thing.

Rice and stones filled the bag with a piece of princess clothing to lead them astray.

Commander Hardstone landed his beast. He frowned harshly.

He could see that he had not only gone far from the capital but was close to the nearest border, which was that of the Beast Kingdom.

He frowned at this as he kicked against the ground. Fortunately, he had gotten a prisoner. While the second one had died from the fall.

Commander Hardstone walked over to the unlucky fellow, “Who are you, and why are you trying to take the Princess.”

However, the man only grinned at Commander Hardstone as he bit a pill in his mouth.

“NO!” The commander tried to stop him, but the death followed afterwards was instant.

Mounting his core beast, he took the corpse and raced back to the capital city. Hopefully, the others who pursued had been far luckier than he had been with his catch.

On getting back to Kendou City, he noticed that a curfew had been declared on the capital city and guards from the different tribes ensured it.

Commander Hardstone saw that even his Tesseract had made it back to the city in time and hoped that they was some good news.

Before him were some tribal chiefs and his team members.

At their centre was a small pile of bodies. On arriving, he immediately guessed whst had happened.

The others that were caught had also committed suicide.

“I see that you guys were not also lucky!”

Vanguard nodded, “They all committed suicide once we apprehended them, and unfortunately, two got away. The ones we were able to catch did not have the princess.”

Chief Ban frowned, “This is a disgrace. We are in war times, and there are spies within our capital city! We should comb the entire city and kill anyone who is a suspect.”

Elder Wallow nodded, “I agree, these vagabonds were even able to get access to the city’s defence shields. Surely, we have a traitor in our midst.”

His words made everyone look at one another.

Elder Baldie had arrived a bit late. Nevertheless, he was here.

He walked over to the corpse of the Kidnappers and looked at them closely.

His eyes glowed in realization, “It is either these are the ugliest humans I have ever seen, or…”

His words made everyone turn to him.

Elder Baldie massaged his head, “or… they are not human!”

His words made Chief Ban frown, “What are you trying to say, Baldie?”

Elder Baldie pointed at the ears, and then he tore open the shirt of one of the corpses, pointing at its chest area.

This area had a deep wound that was obviously forced to heal.

“All the kidnappers have the same cuts on their ears and the same scar on their chests.”

“Maybe a cult group?” Commander Hardstone spoke up.

However, Elder Baldie shook his head, “Now, the cuts are too perfect at the edges and are shaped to mimic that of a person.

These are not humans, but Beast people. And from the looks of it, they have planned this well and for a good while, too.

They even destroyed their cores that are always on their chests. This was and had always been a suicide mission.”

All of a sudden, a guard in uniform rushed over.

He took a knee in respect of the gathering of such great men as he gave his report.

“We found that the guards that maintained the shields had been slaughtered at their posts. When we tried to apprehend the culprits, they all committed suicide on the spot.

But that’s not all. As we combed through the city, we also found several dead people, store owners, or capenters.

Their bodies have been littered across the city.

Chief Wallow frowned heavily, “His Majesty, the king will not be happy to hear this. This time around, we will really be given a scolding.”

Chief Ban sighed heavily. Everyone had a heavy expression on their faces.

“That’s not the problem right now!” Elder Baldie suddenly spoke up.

“What do you mean, Elder Baldie?” Commander Hardstone asked.

Elder Baldie turned to him as he answered. “Firstly, the beast kingdom took the princess.

Such warriors, who are willing to commit suicide are a rare commodity in every nation. With the number of such warriors lost, during this daring assault, it is easy to tell that the Beast Kingdom gave it their all.

They will definitely be needing something of importants for them yo go this far.”

Chief Ban nodded. He was one to usually think with his fist, but even he could see reason in those words.

After all, the number of incredible warriors lost just to yake the princess was not small.

However, he noted something in the elders’ words.

“You said, ‘Firstly’. What is the second matter?”

Elder Baldie looked at the men. “Prince Chiron after conquering the Chanland Kingdom and the Northern highlands in secret will be coming home. Who will tell him that his little sister has been taken?”
