Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 439
Chapter 439: …My Property!
The early morning light cast a soft glow over the stream that was field with the dead bodies of the beast people.
The gentle babble of water a stark contrast to the turmoil in Dylan’s heart. He sat by the edge, cradling Momo in his arms, tears falling like a never-ending stream. His chest felt heavy, each breath labored as he watched the love of his life slip away.
He could feel the chaos inside her body with his spiritual energy, knowing that her internal state was in total disarray. The poison had done its job well.
Dylan remembered its cruel progression: first, it would rob the victim of their sight, then one by one, it would take away all other senses. The sense of touch would be the last to go, leaving the victim to enter eternal darkness in death. It was a painfully slow and torturous way to die.
Momo’s breath was shallow, each exhale weaker than the last. Her eyes, once so full of life, were now clouded and unfocused. But in this moment, it seemed as if the world had narrowed down to just the two of them. Her hand, trembling and weak, cupped his face.
“Dylan,” she whispered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the stream. “Do you know that you talk in your sleep? I heard you several times when nursing you back to health, arguing with yourself in your dreams. It was your mission, was it not? To kill this nation. But you did not want to. I know that. So, I don’t blame you.”
Dylan’s heart ached with every word she spoke. He remembered those nights vividly, the torment in his dreams where duty clashed with conscience. Her forgiveness, her understanding, cut deeper than any blade ever could.
Momo’s hand fumbled weakly, searching for his. She found his fingers and gently placed a ring on his finger. The ring felt cold and heavy, its weight a symbol of everything they would never have. “I only wish we could have at least gotten married,” she murmured, a sad smile playing on her lips.
He didn’t stop her. He couldn’t. His own hand closed over hers, but even that simple act couldn’t hold back the inevitable. The moment the ring settled onto his finger, her hand fell lifelessly to the ground. The sound of her hand hitting the earth was a dull thud, but to Dylan, it was as deafening as thunder. She was gone. The love of his life, his beacon of hope, was gone.
“No,” he choked out, his voice breaking. “Momo, please… don’t leave me. Not like this.”
The stream continued its gentle course, oblivious to the pain that tore through Dylan’s heart. He held her close, his tears soaking into her hair, mingling with the morning dew. He rocked her gently, as if the motion could somehow bring her back.
“I’m so sorry,” he whispered, pressing his forehead to hers. “For everything. For not being able to save you. For bringing this upon us. I love you, Momo. I always will.”
The sun began to rise, casting a golden hue over the world, but it felt cold and empty to Dylan. The beauty of the morning was lost on him, overshadowed by his profound loss. His sobs echoed in the quiet dawn, the world mourning silently with him.
As the first light of day touched the ring on his finger, it glinted brightly, a cruel reminder of the future they had dreamed of but would never have. Dylan’s heart was shattered, and the pain was so intense, it felt like it might consume him whole.
He kissed her forehead gently, his lips lingering on her cooling skin. “Goodbye, my love,” he whispered. “Rest now. I will carry your memory with me, always.”
The morning continued to break, indifferent to his sorrow. But for Dylan, time stood still. In the quiet by the stream, with Momo in his arms, he felt the weight of his loss settle over him like a suffocating shroud. The love of his life was gone, and nothing in the world would ever be the same again.
Just then, he heard a voice come from behind him, “Dylan…”
it was soft, and innocent. He turned behind. It was Mich’s voice. This child was still alive. he had been thirsty, but with Dylan’s warning, he did not drink the water from the stream.
He was still alive. Dylan reached out to him, bringing the boy into a slow embrace. “Mich, its only the two of us now. Your brothers, your sisters, and your Aunt Momo, they have all gone to heavens.” He looked at the boy. “you have to listen to me, okay?”
Mich nodded. his eyes also carried sorrow.
Dylan lifted the child as he walked away.
At this moment, in his heart, he made a silent vow to get revenge. It was not revenge for this country. No, it was revenge for his love. After all, he was a warrior, the only thing that he knew how to do was to speak with his fist and his blade.
He was going to kill them all. Everyone that was the reason for his loss. Even if they were once people he considered family, he was going to kill them all.
On Thinking this far, he turned in a certain direction. They was going to be a place for all of them meet. There, he would carry out his revenge.
As he walked away, a figure lied lazily in the sky, looking below at the death of the beast men with insignificance in her eyes. It was like what she was staring at was dead ants and not people.
Looking at Dylan walk away, he stretched her arms, yawning, “oh my! that was indeed and interesting show.” And then she turned in a certain direction. the same one that Dylan had walked in.
“Now, Chiron, I have placed obstacles to your petty plans. If you cannot overcome this much, then you are not deceiving of wearing my lord’s skin.” Her eyes glowed with wisdom that surprise even the gods. After all, this Demi god had eyes that could peak even beyond the boundaries of reality. She was the same person that had been interested in Deamon, setting the stage for the future as she saw fit.
She smiled and then, suddenly, she disappeared. Gone like the blowing of wind…
…
Meanwhile, the Senate of the Beast Kingdom was in total panic. The news of people dying all around had reached them.

This was a massive blow to their population.
Many of them were confused as to what had caused this. Of course they were not dumb and had quickly discovered that their water supply was poisoned.
However, they had thought that the perpetrator of this villainous act was the New beast kingdom. But even if they wanted to, they could not even match up to its doors for a fight.
Destroying the water source of a nation was akin to destroying its limbs. Soldiers could not even match over to fight.
To make matters worse, they were yet to hear any thing from King Richard of the Vandora Kingdom after taking his grand daughter.
Things were just going wrong and they did not know why.
Unknown to them, Chiron had long sent word to his Grand Father. It was a simple letter. “I’ll handle It!”
“Senator Bolad. You have been in charge of our medical and spiritual energy department since the exile of Hadi from the kingdom, what are your thoughts on getting the water supply clean again?” One senator asked.
Senator Bolad, an old Crow beast man could not help but sweat buckets at that question. It was true that he had been kept in charge since hadi was kicked out, but the position was only given to him because there was no one else.
Besides, he did not have the talents nor knowledge that a person such as Hadi had. Basically, he was useless when it came to things like this.
He stood to his feet slowly. The eyes of all in the senate was on him. He could see their hopes all pinned on him.
The Human heart was a very funny place. Always looking for someone to blame, for someone to carry the cross or be the scape goat.
And in this situation, he had been unfortunate enough have fallen victim.
“Well, I and my team have located the problem with the poisoned water supply… and erm.. erm… we… we are doing our best to isolate the poison and…”
!SWUSH!*
The Loud slashing of a blade could be heard as Long curve blade, red and flowing like water suddenly decapitated the senator on the spot.
The blade landed behind the body of Senator Bolad, and then, the corpse spitting out blood from the empty neck fell to the ground.
Absolute shook reverberated through the room. It was good to remember that Senator Bolad although old, was still a Blue cored.
Surely, he could not have been killed in one move?
However, the blade that had cut him hummed lowly, and a loud thundering voice came from above.
“GIVE ME BACK MY PROPERTY!”
