Chapter 440: Prince Chiron’s Visit
The Senate chamber, reminiscent of a grand coliseum, was a vast expanse where the senators sat in elevated stands, encircling a central, hollow arena where presenters could step forward. Above, the barely-there roof was covered by a thin, transparent film that let in the diffuse light.
It was within this hollow center that a chilling scene had just unfolded, as the blade hurled by Chiron had decapitated a senator, sending shockwaves through the assembly.
As the senators and attendees looked up in unison, they saw it—a dragon in the sky. Not just any dragon, but a Red Fire Blood Dragon. It wasn’t colossal in size, but its menacing presence dominated the atmosphere, freezing the hearts of all who beheld it. After all, it was a red core beast.
The dragon’s scales glistened in a deep, blood-red hue, each scale sharp and angular like pieces of jagged armor. The scales overlapped meticulously, creating a near-impenetrable barrier.
Along its spine, the scales rose into fierce, serrated ridges that shimmered ominously in the light filtering through the film above. Its wings, vast and leathery, beat with a powerful rhythm, creating gusts of wind that swept through the chamber, sending loose papers and garments fluttering.
The dragon’s eyes, burning like molten lava, surveyed the chamber with a predatory intensity. Its maw, filled with rows of razor-sharp teeth, could belch forth searing flames that would reduce anything to ash. The claws, each as long as a man’s arm, were poised to rip and tear through any obstacle.
As the dragon descended, its presence became even more terrifying. It landed with a thunderous impact, shaking the very foundation of the Senate chamber.
The ground quaked, and a deafening silence followed. Then, it let out a scream—a roar so loud and powerful that it seemed to pierce through the very souls of those present, demanding undivided attention.
Upon closer inspection, all eyes were drawn to the two figures standing atop the dragon. In the forefront was a young teenage boy, a confident smirk playing on his lips. His posture was relaxed, almost casual, as if he was merely out for a ride on a tame beast.
Behind him stood a demon girl, exuding an aura of formidable power. Her eyes glowed with a fiery intensity, and her stance was that of a vigilant protector, every muscle coiled and ready for action.
The air was thick with tension and fear, as the reality of their situation settled in.
Everyone was totally surprised by this. After all, this was the senate house, the most secured place in the entire kingdom. To just make an entrance into their chambers was bold.
This wa snot just any entrance but an ariel one. Some of the senators could not help but think whether they no longer had guards, or that their forces at sea had not noticed their air space being invaded by a dragon and shot it down.
After all, this entrance had happened in broad day light.
All of a sudden, one of the senators, as if coming back to his senses, screamed for the guards, and within moments, they surged into the chamber.
These guards, clad in iron armor, were a fearsome amalgamation of beast men—wolf, rhino, rat, and even elephant beast men, each with their own formidable traits. The instant they appeared, they encircled the dragon, weapons drawn and ready.
Their bodies crackled with their spiritual energy in different elemental hues.
The young teenager atop the dragon surveyed the scene with a calm, almost disdainful gaze. “It would seem like you all do not know who I am,” he remarked, his voice carrying a tone of amused superiority. He then turned slightly to address the demon girl behind him. “Carla, please make… subtle introductions.”
At his command, Carla’s claws elongated, transforming into gleaming, knife-like blades. With a swift, almost graceful motion, she leapt from the dragon’s back into the midst of the guards. Her descent was like a shadow falling over the soldiers, foreboding and inevitable.
The scene that followed was nothing short of a massacre. Carla moved with a speed and precision that defied belief, her claws slashing through the air in deadly arcs.
The guards, though skilled and armored, were no match for her. She tore through their ranks with ruthless efficiency, each movement fluid and lethal.
Blood and limbs rushing into the air like a celebrated wedding with the audience throwing flowers.
Wolf beast men lunged at her with ferocity, their claws and teeth aimed to tear her apart, but she was faster, her claws slicing through their throats before they could react.
Rhino beast men, towering and strong, charged at her with their massive horns, but her agility allowed her to sidestep their attacks and plunge her claws into their thick hides, ripping through muscle and bone as if they were nothing.
Even their attacks that were powered by their different cores were nothing.
Carla had just evolved to be stronger, her every movement and every breath was the bearing of chaos and destruction.
Rat beast men, quick and cunning, tried to swarm her, attacking from all angles with their daggers and spears. Yet Carla was a whirlwind of death, her blades cutting through their numbers with terrifying ease, their bodies falling like chaff before the scythe.
Elephant beast men, the most heavily armored of all, attempted to crush her with their sheer size and power. But even their formidable strength was useless; her claws penetrated their iron armor as though it were butter, spilling blood and entrails in gruesome displays of her overwhelming might.
The guards attacked with all their weapons—swords, spears, and maces—but nothing seemed to slow her down. Her speed was blinding, her strength unstoppable. Even the mightiest blows glanced off her or were evaded entirely. Each strike she delivered was precise and fatal, reducing the proud beast men to lifeless corpses.
Chiron on the other hand, did not even watch the battle. It was unnecessary for him to give such a trivial thing his attention.

Meanwhile, the senators watched as their blood ran cold with fear. Many of them if not most were old men with pot bellies, not capable of fighting.
If the guards could not do anything, then what could they do.
The worse part was that the dragon after arriving, had done nothing, only lying there in the pool of blood that flowed under its belly as if attracted by the redness of its skin.
The air grew thick with the metallic scent of blood and the screams of the dying. Carla’s face remained impassive, her eyes cold and unfeeling as she moved through the guards, a living embodiment of death itself. Her claws gleamed with blood under the transparent film of the roof, each drop adding flattery to her deadly prowess.
Within moments, what had been a ring of iron-clad defenders was reduced to a gruesome spectacle of death. The once-proud guards lay strewn about the chamber, their bodies broken and bleeding.
Carla, her task completed, turned back towards the teenager on the dragon, her claws retracting as she walked through the carnage she had created. The senators, once so confident in their protection, could only look on in horror and dread at the scene before them.
*COUGH!*
Chiron coughed, “Forgive me ladies and gentlemen. You know, in meetings such as this, a proper introduction is needed. After all, reputation precedes a man. But I am one to think that people might easily forget.”
Chiron looked at the men, it was almost as if his eyes could see into the souls of each and everyone of them.
Then again, How could they not know who he was? After all, he was the first person to have a dragon in one thousand years since the war against the Elves.
In fact, since the kidnapping of Nora Chivalry, the senate had instructed their ariel force to pay close attention to the skies for any sign of invading Tesseracts or flying dragons.
Any sight of such should be shot on sight. They had also instructed their marine forces with long range capabilities for surface to air attacks.
However, even with all these preventions, it was not enough. And some how, the ‘Devil’ had made his appearance.
Chiron stretched his hand in a particular direction, and Devil’s touch, sensing his master’s call, suddenly became liquid merging with the blood on the ground and then mounting the dragon’s body to snake about on Chiron’s body.
“I’ll say it again, give me back my property!”
However, chiron could see that most were still frozen in fear. He sighed as he massaged his brows. “Okay, lets do it like this, if you give me back my property, I’ll let you live…”
Those words were subtle, but it immediately excited a rush from the Senators.
“Prince Chiron, I will get her for you.”
“No! I will do it.” Another Senator shouted as he pushed the other senator out of his way.
A bigger one, even waved his hand, bashing the head of another senator into meat paste.
yet again, another one mounted another senator’s head and stabbed into his eyes before rushing forward.
Soon, the senators were, fighting, and killing themselves as they rushed each one trying to please Chiron.
The fear of death had resurrected their primal instincts for survival…
