Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 444
Chapter 444: A Dragon’s Pride 2
The dragon’s chest puffed up as it prepared to attack again, icy energy swirling around its core, growing brighter and more intense.
Simultaneously, Chiron raised his uninjured hand, flames dancing along his fingers, and pointed it at the Ice Dragon. “I’ll show you what it means to cross a Dragon Master.”
The air around Chiron shimmered with heat as the flames grew more intense, fueled by his incredible spiritual energy. This energy was a deep, vast well, almost as profound as that of a dragon’s—an inheritance the Blood Dragon had given his ancestor.
Chiron channeled a massive amount of his spiritual energy into his attack. Flames coalesced into a dense, pulsating fireball, crackling with raw power.
It grew rapidly, expanding to the size of a small house, its core a brilliant white, surrounded by swirling layers of red and orange. The heat it radiated was intense, distorting the air around it and causing the very ground beneath Chiron to sizzle and crack.
At the same moment, the Ice Dragon unleashed its attack. It exhaled a massive blast of icy energy, a gargantuan sphere of frozen power that dwarfed Chiron’s fireball.
This attack was the size of a much larger house, a swirling mass of icy blue and white, radiating cold so intense that the air around it crystallized into frost. The dragon’s chest heaved as it expelled the attack, the energy within it a concentrated force of freezing destruction.
The two colossal attacks hurtled towards each other, leaving trails of fire and ice in their wake. When they collided, the resulting explosion was cataclysmic. The fireball met the ice blast with a thunderous impact, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Then, with a blinding flash of light and a deafening roar, the combined energies erupted outward, a shockwave of heat and cold that devastated the entire area.
*DUM!*
The ground trembled and cracked, trees were uprooted and incinerated, and the small beast village nearby was obliterated in an instant. The forest was torn asunder, trees snapping like twigs, their remains either burning or frozen solid. The very air itself seemed to scream from the force of the collision.
Amidst the chaos, the Ice Dragon let out a hearty, triumphant laugh. The sheer scale and power of its attack had clearly dominated the battlefield. It reveled in the devastation it had wrought, confident in its superiority.
But as the dragon’s laughter echoed through the ruined landscape, it suddenly realized something was amiss. It opened its eyes and looked around, searching for Chiron. To its surprise, Chiron was no longer in front of it. It scanned the area, confusion growing into alarm.
Then, in the distance, the dragon spotted Chiron. He was running far ahead, his form rapidly receding. To the dragon, it appeared as though he was fleeing for his life, a cowardly human retreating from the overwhelming power of a true dragon. The dragon’s amusement turned to irritation as it realized the human it had thought so insignificant was still alive and evading it.
Meanwhile, Chiron cursed as he ran. “Shit! Shit!! Shit!!! Fate really screwed me over this time around. How I’m I supposed to fight that thing?”
In the exchange that had just happened between Chiron and the Dragon only minutes ago, Chiron had clearly lost. But it wa snot the fact that he lost that was overwhelming.
It was the fact that he had used two thirds of his entire spiritual well for that attack and all it had done was obstruct the view of the Dragon. It had not even caused a little sizzle on its impenetrable scale.
And there was still its armor, and everyone knew that the scales of a dragon were tougher than even Vamir steel, and that was the same metal that was used to make the flying Tesseracts of the Vandoria kingdom.
Fight the Dragon to prove bravery!? HELL NO!!!
Chiron did not swing that way. Only an absolute fool fighting for vain glory would do such a stupid thing. All that bravado he had been putting out there about facing a dragon was just so that he could make this escape.
Unfortunately for him, Dragon’s had the ability to fly, and he was only Bronze ranked. That ability was not a specialty of the middle realm that he occupied.
With a two flap of its enormous Wings, it was already over Chiron.
However, chiron did not for a second turn about to look at it. He did not check for his sister, or the Red Blood-fire Dragon, or even Carla that was dying. The only thing on his mind was to get away from the accused beast as fast as possible.
“Human! Do you think that you can out run a Dragon? My kind Lord the Skies!” Its voice thundered across the open sky.
Many ran away, beast people that had been fortunate to keep their lives and not drink the poisoned water that Chiron had prepared for them.
At the same time, as Chiron ran, he did two things. Firstly, he looked around for the most densely populated place. The more the beast people running around, the easier it was going to be for him to hide, and secondly, he did not run in a straight line.
However, the Dragon, spitting out icy breath again and again would not let him go.
Many unlucky souls were caught in the blast, their deaths, a frozen end.
At the same time, Chiron looked on ahead. he had reached a nearby city of sorts. ‘Perfect’, he echoed in his mind as he ran into the city.
Already, the guards at the gate already had their weapons pointed at the flying dragon.
Many of then sent energy blasts its way.

The Dragon snickered at this, “Disgusting worms!” Its voice echoed as its icy breath left them in an Icy world of Pain.
The attack this time around, even managed to get Chiron’s left leg, but not before he made a dive to the side, hiding behind a thick wall…
