Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 445
Chapter 445: A Dragon’s Pride 3
The Dragon, still searching for him, looked left and right, but no matter how it searched, Chiron was no where to be found.
“Where are you, Human Vermin! Come out and receive your due punishment for putting your foot on the scale of a Royal born dragon. I shall give you the honor of letting me skin you, and using your leg as a toothpick for the next one hundred years.”
Meanwhile, the freezing blast missed him by mere inches, but some of the ice caught one of his legs, freezing it instantly.
Chiron gritted his teeth against the searing cold, the pain radiating up his leg like a thousand needles piercing his flesh. With a desperate effort, he summoned flames to melt the ice. Steam hissed and rose around him as the fire met the frost, but the damage was done.
His leg was nearly as useless as his injured hand, the skin blistered and raw, muscles stiff and unresponsive. He groaned in agony, trying to regulate the blood flow in his leg while hiding his presence behind the wall.
The city around him was alive with activity. Beastman citizens, a mix of various animal traits, were in a panic, their voices a cacophony of fear and confusion.
And then it happened. The Dragon landed.
The ground trembled as the massive Ice Dragon landed on the high city walls, its eyes scanning below for any sign of Chiron. Its breath frosted the air, the sheer presence of the beast sending waves of cold radiating outward.
Chiron’s breath came in ragged gasps as he leaned against the wall, every nerve ending in his leg screaming in pain. The cold had seeped deep into his bones, and even his fire could not entirely counteract the chill. He could feel his heartbeat pounding in his chest, every thud echoing the throbbing pain in his leg and hand.
What really helped him now was the fact that his own dragon was of royal bloodline, and thus, had a natural advantage against other dragons. However, that did not make up for the fact that his cultivation level and that of the Dragon were very far apart.
If that dragon was a human cultivator, then it would be at least a rank 4 or 5 Bronze rank cultivator. Even Chiron did not court foolishness enough to think that he could take it on.
Just then, a squad of beastman warriors rushed over, their armor glinting in the dim light. These were formidable fighters, their bodies honed for battle, and they wielded weapons that glowed with spiritual energy of multiple colors—blades crackling with lightning, maces wreathed in flames, and spears shimmering with ethereal light. They attacked the dragon with a coordinated fury, their weapons flashing as they struck.
The dragon barely noticed their assault. The warriors’ attacks bounced harmlessly off its scales, which were harder than the strongest armor. Their spiritual energy-infused weapons, capable of felling the mightiest of foes, were no more than irritants to this ancient and powerful being. The dragon’s eyes narrowed in annoyance, and it let out a roar that shook the very foundations of the city.
With a deep inhale, the dragon prepared to unleash another torrent of icy breath. The beastmen warriors barely had time to react before the freezing blast swept over them.
The icy breath engulfed them, turning their cries of defiance into screams of agony. Their bodies were frozen mid-motion, encased in crystal-clear ice, expressions of determination and terror preserved like statues.
Chiron peeked around the corner, the scene before him one of utter devastation. The cold air bit at his exposed skin, the smell of frost and fear permeating the atmosphere. His leg throbbed with renewed intensity as he tried to shift his weight, the pain almost unbearable. He could feel the heat from his internal fire battling the encroaching cold, but it was a losing struggle.
The dragon, standing atop the city walls, surveyed the frozen battlefield with satisfaction. Its breath hung in the air like a deadly fog, drifting down to the ground below.
“If you don’t come out Human? I will turn the entire petty city into an ice landscape.” the dragon threatened.
However, Chiron did not show up. Its eyes narrowed in frustration. Dragons were not known to be patient beings.
Just then, it felt the blast of an attack come behind.
It was a sudden blast of fire.
However, this blast of fire although huge, was not so impactful.
The Dragon turned about to see that the attack had come from Chiron’s Red Blood-fire Dragon.
“Hmph! Not bad royal one, but you are still a child, too wet behind the ears. You have never been in a true battle, much less with your kind!”
The Icy Dragon rushed over, and with its long claws, SMACKED Chiron’s Dragon to the ground. It was a deafening blow that sent shockwaves to the environment, striking down trees and even sturdy walls.
“And stay down. Once I kill your so called master, you will be free of this blood bind and return home.” Seeing that it had actually knocked out the Red-Blood Dragon, it turned once more to the city.
“Since, you choose not to show yourself, you shall die a cowards death. I should warn you, even if your try to hide, ten kilometers deep in the earth, my ice with capture everything.”
Its chest swelled up in anticipation of its next blast and then. it happened.
A figure, rushed through the froze woods. “DON’T!!! Please don’t do it. Don’t harm my brother.’ The little Nora ran over. Her breath was heavy, obviously still feeling the pressure from exerting herself too much.
However, the sight of her surprised the dragon. After all, all things that had life and a bit of common sense ran away, and here, a little human girl was running over.

Nora had tears in her eyes as she ran over. In her heart, it was all her fault. After all, Chiron had come to a foreign country just to save her, killing thousands as he did. What better display of love was there in the world.
At least, this was what she thought.
