Chapter 471: The Battlefield Begins With Smiles and Praises
And so the next day arrived fast…
For chiron’s return back to the capital, King Richard had spared no expense to make it as colorful as possible.
The Terresseract he sent was a marvel of royal engineering, gliding through the sky like a regal bird of prey. Its square-like shape housed countless chambers within, each one a testament to the luxury and craftsmanship of the Vandorian kingdom.
The exterior of the Terresseract was a masterpiece, adorned with the symbol of the kingdom and the royal family—a pair of majestic twin lion heads, their fierce expressions a symbol of strength and unity. These emblems, crafted from gleaming gold, caught the light and shimmered brilliantly against the deep blue of the sky.
The hull of the ship was made from the finest Venir steel materials stolen from the highlands—a blend of polished metals and precious stones, giving it a lustrous finish that dazzled onlookers. Intricate carvings and motifs decorated every surface, depicting scenes of the kingdom’s glorious past and its royal lineage.
The Terresseract looked both imposing and beautiful, a true representation of the Vandorian royal family’s grandeur and power.
Chiron saw this and his eye twitched a bit. Obviously, his Grandfather was now taking a stance on his side, and was making a statement about it.
Chiron’s servants except the Dragon of course, and his valiant men boarded the Terresseract, their footsteps echoing softly on the polished floors.
The interiors were equally breathtaking, with plush seating, ornate decor, and an ambiance of comfort and opulence. Every corner of the ship reflected the meticulous attention to detail and the exquisite taste of the royal family.
As the Terresseract took to the skies, it was followed by smaller, yet similarly crafted vessels, each carrying nobles who had been waiting at the garrison for Chiron’s attendance but never got it.
This grand entourage, a fleet of elegant ships, moved together in perfect harmony, creating a spectacle that captured the attention of everyone below. Farmers in their fields and commoners in their villages stopped what they were doing to gaze up at the sky, pointing and whispering in awe at the sight.
News of Chiron’s return had spread across the land, and this majestic display only added to his legend.
As they approached Kendou, Chiron received a report within the Terresseract that the shields into the city had refused to grant access. Surprise flickered across his face as he wondered what could be the cause.
Just then, a message came through the communicator device: Commander Hardstone, head of the royal army, was coming to escort him from the entrance of the city to the palace.
Realization dawned on Chiron. His grandfather had orchestrated this grand entrance to draw attention to Chiron’s many achievements and elevate his standing among the people and nobles of the capital city. It was a political maneuver, a showcase of Chiron’s greatness for what he wanted to do next.
Chiron did not mind. After all, his goals and aspirations were far lofty than what this nation had to offer. And while he was not a fan of the spotlight, this one was not avoidable. After all, even if he decided to hide in the shadows now, the enemies would still come for him.
At least this way, the ball was within his control.
A side smile curled on Chiron’s lips as he grasped the full extent of the plan. “If that is what he wishes, then I do not mind,” he stated, his voice carrying a tone of not really caring.
Turning to Emma, Carla, and his core beast, Hunter, which now looked more like a lion with green spots, he gave a nod. “Let’s go.”
As Chiron descended from the Terresseract, the grand gates of Kendou opened before him, revealing the splendor within. The city, a marvel of Vandorian architecture, lay bathed in the golden hues of the raising sun. Rows upon rows of royal guards, all dressed in resplendent golden armor, lined the pathway. Their capes fluttered lightly in the breeze, each one bearing the insignia of the royal family. Weapons gleamed at their sides, and their armor was adorned with totems of various core beasts, symbolizing strength and protection.
At the forefront stood Commander Hardstone, a figure of formidable presence. His armor, more ornate than the rest, spoke of his high rank and the countless battles he had led. As Chiron approached, Hardstone saluted sharply, a gesture of deep respect.
Captain Timi, standing off to the side, gave a nod of acknowledgment to his brother.
Commander Hardstone stepped forward, his expression somber as he spoke. “Your sister, Nora. I heard. She died as a result of a trap set by the Beast Kingdom. Sorry for your loss, my prince.”
Chiron nodded, bowing his head momentarily, pretending to moan the loss. And then he met Hardstone’s gaze. “Thank you.”
With a nod, Commander Hardstone motioned for Chiron to follow. “The king and your people await your presence,” he announced, waving his hand as he turned to lead the way.
Chiron followed, his servants and soldiers falling in step behind him. The procession moved with a dignified grace, the sound of their footsteps echoing softly against the cobblestone path. High above, Chiron’s Red Blood-Fire Dragon soared, its presence a testament to his might. The dragon shrieked loudly, its cry resonating across the city, drawing the eyes of every citizen who gazed up in awe and reverence.
As they moved through the streets, the people of Kendou gathered, whispering, pointing, and Cheering. The tales of Chiron’s bravery and prowess had preceded him, and now they saw their hero in the flesh. The grand procession continued, the atmosphere charged with anticipation, respect and cheering.
They were even women that screamed their love for him, some bolder ones, majorly prostitutes threw their undergarments while some others threw flowers, declaring their love and admiration.
It was loud and incredible, especially to Chiron’s soldiers that puffed out their chests in pride, some winking at some women. Even the Orcs that entered the city were cheered at.
Commander Hardstone led them through the grand avenues of Kendou, past towering spires and opulent buildings. The path was lined with banners bearing the royal emblem, fluttering in the breeze. The air was filled with the scent of flowers from the well-tended gardens that lined the streets.

Finally, they approached the royal palace, a magnificent structure of marble and gold. The gates of the palace stood open, guarded by elite soldiers who saluted as Chiron passed. Inside, the great hall awaited, filled with nobles and dignitaries, all eager to witness the return of their prince.
Chiron’s Red Blood-Fire Dragon landed gracefully on a high perch, its eyes scanning the crowd below with a watchful gaze. The procession came to a halt, and Commander Hardstone turned to Chiron, bowing deeply.
“This way, my prince,” he said, his voice carrying a note of solemn respect.
Chiron nodded, stepping forward with a regal bearing. Behind him, Emma, Carla, and his core beast Hunter followed closely.
The atmosphere was a cheering one.
However, through out the process, Chiron had been on red alert. After all, even amongst the screaming crowd, he could feel eeyes of daggers on his skin. It was as if certain fellows in the crowd were waiting for him to lose his guard just a bit for them to attack.
Chiron had been in many dangerous situations. However, right now, he did not feel like he was in the midst of people cheering their love for him, but rather, in a battlefield.
Even Chiron knew of a certain, that the first attack was about to happen.
