However, Chiron gave a side ways dangerous smile.

Thunder lice plant was one that had the ability to kill a normal person instantly on smelling it. for a cultivator, tasting it was a lethal dose. Considering the fact that Chiron was a bronze rank cultivator, the amount that was required for it to become dangerous for him was not a small amount.

the worse part about it was that even though this poison was dangerous, it was actually very easy to recognize. After all, everything it touched became black. However, in this party, only red wine had been served.

this meant that the person that had used thunder lace plant in this drink was skilled enough to even extract the darkening property from it.

If not those around Chiron like Chief ban would have easily noticed.

Chiron spread his aura sense into the environment, surely, they were a few malicious gazes, but nothing out of the ordinary that would really stand out.

Just then, he looked at one side, and he could see a figure peep over to his direction and then move away.

Chiron smirked, ‘oh! uncle stupid Victor. If the present is from you, then I’ll graciously accept.’ Without a moment to waste, he downed the content into his throat.

However, he continued smiling, even winking that way.

The party continued on till in the evening, and through out the entire time, Chiron was sent six lethal glasses. He drank all of them. After all, he had fate points to spare.

Enjoying the confusion in the camp of ones enemy was a different kind of pleasure on its own.

As the party progressed, a servant brushed past Emma, handing her a paper. She opened it and read its content.

Throughout, Emma had worn her veil to cover up her face. But it had not stopped many nobles from swarming towards her. It was the same thing for Carla. However, unlike Emma that actually smiled and flirted with them, Carla did not even turn around when a governor of a city wanted to speak with her.

All along, her eyes was on only one person. And that was chiron. In her heart, he was the only thing made of flesh that existed in the world.

Emma took the note that had been passed unto her, and then she excused herself from the presence of the nobles.

She walked through the corridors, other servants bowing to her the moment they saw her pass. Even amongst servants, there was an hierarchy, and Emma served the crown prince.

Just when she took a corner at a particular point, she was pulled by the arm into a room.

“I have missed the taste of your skin!” a voice whispered in her ear as he licked her neck. She recognized this voice. However, he did not wait and instantly raised her blouse, inserting his member into her backside.

He pumped into her continuously, again and again. Outside the room, Emma’s moans echoed gently. Those that passed pretended not to hear, walking away quickly.

The party ended and many of the nobles had to be carried by their servants to their carriages.

Of course, such an event would normally lead through the night, but two people had left the gathering. One of them was the King, and secondly was Chiron.

The king retired to his chambers. the servants helped him remove his robes. As there did, he sighed continually, he was already an old man and did not have the endurance for such long winding parties or the strength to entertain the nonsense from the nobles.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

A servant announced that it was prince Victor that had come. King Richard sighed. However, he knew that considering the actions he had taken today, he had to at least meet with his son.

He waved his hand and Prince Victor was allowed in. On entering the chambers, Prince Victor waved his hands for the servants to leave. However, unlike before, they did not. Not until king Richard dismissed them.

Prince Victor frowned at this. Even within the palace, it was obvious that his power was starting to wane. The throne had been taken from him and given to another.

It was only a matter of time that it happened.

“Father! I was your…”

King Richard raised a hand to stop him, “I will not have this discussion now of all times. Chiron is son to your sister, and she is heir to MY throne. It is only his by right. Besides, you had more ten years to prove yourself worthy for the throne and a boy, barely with hair in his pits outshined you within a year, defeating three nations like it was nothing.”

Those words made Prince Victor swallow the words he wanted to say. After all, there were true and clear as day.

even he had to admit that Chiron was an incredible child. If it were under different circumstances where the crown to the throne was not at stake, then he would have not mind having chiron as a close ally. The boy was just that incredible.

Just then, a maid came over, “Excuse me, your majesty. Its time for your medicinal tea. Shall I bring your taster?”

However, Prince Victor waved his hand, “there is no need. I am here.” He collected the cup of tea from the maid and she bowed in respect as she walked away.

“Victor! I have told you before. Your life is important. You don’t need to do the work of the Taster.”

“But I insist father. In all these years, it is the one thing I have managed to be good at.” Victor sipped some of the Tea, and then he handed it over to his father.

“Thank you!” King Richard took it with shaky hands. He was indeed an old man. Without waste for time, he downed the entire content.

However, the moment he did, he looked at the bottom of the cup, and then at his hand. Slowly, the veins on his skin became dark, spreading all over like the web of a spider.

King Richard turned to Abel. His mouth was left open in surprise as he fell to the ground. Slowly, black blood leaked from his ears.

Instinctively, the King looked to his hand. However, the ring that had accompanied for most of his life was no more. He only just remembered that he had gifted it to Chiron…
