Chapter 474: A Terrible Night To Be A Villain
Before Prince Victor had given his father the poison, he had already taken the antidote for himself. That was why he was able to taste it and it did not hurt him.
This was not the first time that Prince Victor was acting as a taster for his father’s food or drinks, but King Richard had underestimated his son. He did not foresee that Prince Victor would go so far.
King Richard’s face slowly became darker and darker, and he tried to call the guards, but his voice failed him.
This was another special attribute of the poison. If first attacked the senses.
Prince Victor leaned closer, grabbing his father by his hair, “hmmm! So that’s what its suppose to do. For some reason, that bastard mug son of my stupid sister did not have the pleasure of suffering the same fate, but don’t worry, father.” Prince victor held his father’s head close as the old man continued to bleed from his Orifices over and over again.
Affectionately, he struck his head. Again and again. “Sleep now father. As you most beloved child, I promise on your grave that I will take good care of the Vandoria kingdom. He gave and evil Grin as he stood to his feet.
After which, he left the Chambers. As he did, he instructed the maids and servants. “My father, the King, is very tired and wishes to sleep. No one will disturb him.”
They all bowed in respect, exiting to go have their rest. None of them, including the guards or the experts hiding in secret around the King’s chambers knew that the king had passed away.
This night was fated to be a very troublesome one.
After all, it was not just Prince Victor that did not intend sleeping.
Chiron left the Crown he had been given at the ceremony as he walked the night. He had wanted to go alone, but Emma had insisted that she came along with him. Chiron did not mind this. After all, he was only going to retrieve a particular object from the Chief Shaman.
Throughout the entire procession that named him the crown prince, she had been exchanging glances with him, and he with her.
Both of them were due for a conversation.
Chiron and Emma, both dawning dark capes like the night reached the Temple at the center of the city.
Considering the celebrations of the day, the Temple had been closed to the public. However, the moment both of them arrived, they was a figure in front, waiting for him.
This was the same one that had led Chiron to this place, the first time he had come.
She raised her head, slightly to him, “the priestess awaits you.” she spoke softly, never betraying any kind of emotion on her face.
Chiron nodded and followed her lead into the Temple. The temple was just as Chiron remembered it to be, segmented by the hierarchy of the society with the nobles and royal family station far off in front and above.
There was also the rows of organized candles that were scattered all around the place. Some of them giving off the usual yellow light, and strangely, the others were giving off dark blue lights.
However, these candles nor the look of the room interested Chiron. he was here for a far more important reason.
Chiron walked steadily, Emma following closely behind him.
Before the mighty statue of the Bear mother was The chief Shaman. The old lady seemed to be meditating, whispers could be heard slowly. But if one tried to listen, they would find that she was speaking in a language no one understood.
Chiron waited for a few seconds, but then he spoke up, “My patience is thin, Old woman. I am sure that even one as knowledgeable as yourself can guess why I am here.”
The whispers stopped and the Shaman, slowly and deliberately, turned to Chiron.
“The Bear mother does not enjoy your presence in her Temple.” The chief Shaman spoke up.
“Good! I don’t like her either. Give me what I want, and I’ll consider forgetting I ever stepped in this place.”
“Is that an order, Crowned Prince!?”
Chiron waved his hand and the fires of the candles in the room responded to him. Their flames burning brighter.
“I know how the rules with the gods work. Trust me, by the time they come down from their high and mighty thrones, this temple would have already been blessed by the flames of the Nether.”
She looked him in the eyes for a few seconds, as if to read his true intensions.

“You have left me with no choice, Prince Chiron. You challenged the gods, and even sided with the Giant snake tribe. You are not liked both in heaven and on earth.” However, even though she said these words, she still waved her hands, summoning a temple servant that walked forward with a book in hand.
This book was thick and it was easier to call it a tome.
This was the reason Chiron had come to this place. Elder Baldie had told him that the Chief Shaman had the tome containing the secrets to the Forbidden Fog of unbounded Mysteries.
This was a Cardinal Zone that Chiron had long had his eyes on.
The surface of the book had the drawing of a woman that looked to be suffering as she was receiving a bolt of lightning from the heavens.
This of course a heaven tribulation.
Chiron, out of curiosity, opened the book. As he did, Emma, standing behind him, came closer as if to peep into the book.
It was at such a moment that it happen.
!SLUSH!*
The sound of Short blade entering flesh was heard. However, as it did, the prey also instinctively moved.
Chiron looked below, his eyes carried disbelieve. A knife, aiming for his heart had been lodged into his back.
Chiron looked up, the person with the knife was Emma.
And then came a loud laughter that echoed through out the Temple. This was a very familiar voice. After all, it was….
