Zi was still smiling at him as he came closer, and so was chiron.

Chiron was fast, Stabbing right into her chest.

Carla was taken back by what was going on, but she held herself from interfering.

Zi coughed up some blood, and then some again. She looked at the blade, surprised marked on her delicate face.

However, Chiron suddenly felt an attack come from behind him and he made a jump in the air, dodging the swipe that had come from the Beast core spider.

This was an attack from the undead core beast that she had been riding.

Chiron landed on the ground with a very peculiar look on his face. “I missed your heart!” he muttered.

Zi on the other hand chuckled lowly, “Oh, you were close. I was warned that when it came to you, I should take certain safety measures, and so I hide it somewhere.” she wiped the side of her lips.

“Somewhere?” Chiron thought to himself. “So you are that kind of demon.” He thought out loud.

Zi stood upright, the wound on her chest still there, but she had stopped bleeding.

Clearly, she might even begin to heal up soon.

“Tell me Chiron. How did you know? I Didn’t give myself away. I even helped save your life. How did you know that I had come to kill you?”

However, Chiron had a surprised look on his face. “You did?”

“HUH!?” Zi had a similarly surprised look on her face. “So you did not know I came to kill you!?…Then… Then why did you attack me?”

“Simple. I don’t trust people that let me owe them when I do not know their reason. its even worse when I owe that person my life. I rather not have such guilt on my innocent conscious.”

“So killing me was your solution?” She asked back.

Chiron nodded, “well, Dead men are owed no debts!”

Zi froze. Carla also froze in shocked. Chiron’s logic was both flawed and flawless.

It was something they had never heard of before in their lives.

Even Carla that had been with Chiron for so long was surprised by his response.

“Besides…” Chiron continued, “you said that you had become a demon by feeding on the flesh of that half elf elder after she had become a demon. But we both know that is a lie.
