Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 490
Chapter 490: Zi The Anomally
Chiron raised his head at the core beasts that had formed. In his mind, he really wanted to know if as a death aura user, these creatures fell under his control too.
However, he quickly discovered that these were a unique kind of dead, in that their dead form was not from their dead bodies, but formed as a result of Zi’s animation of their form through their cores.
It was a kind of undead practice that even Chiron had never seen before. It puzzled him. Then again, Zi’s existence was an anomaly. An Anomaly that had happened as a result of his influence in the world.
In the life of the Mc of his book, a character like Zi did not even exist. After all, back then the Mc was not remarkable in any way. As such, a person like Zi had never fallen in love with him because she was never attracted to his greatness.
And because she was not attracted by his greatness and outstanding performance at the test, she was not pushed into doing anything requiring sacrifice.
As such, Chiron, even with his wide range of knowledge had never seen any type of demon that was in her image.
She was even able to displace her heart from her body and function independently. This was an anomaly that Chiron did not like one bit.
Even now, he could not help but think of what Fate could with such an anomaly. The only solution was to end her. Fortunately, he was in the bronze rank and it was clear that her power was a demon equivalent of her being in the early stages of the copper realm.
Now, he was going to crush it all.
Chiron stood his ground, a confident smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as the twenty undead core beasts surged toward him. Each beast, once majestic and powerful, now a twisted parody of their former selves, their eyes completely black, devoid of any life or light. They moved with an unnatural speed, their movements jerky and erratic, driven by the dark control that animated them.
As they closed in, Chiron remained calm, his eyes sharp and focused. With a casual wave of his hand, his sword materialized, its liquid-like form flowing and shifting as it solidified into a weapon of incredible sharpness and deadly beauty. The blade shimmered with a dark, malevolent energy, perfectly matching Chiron’s own aura.
The first beast, a massive, muscular creature with a horned head, lunged at him, its jaws snapping open to reveal rows of razor-sharp teeth. Chiron’s smirk deepened as he effortlessly sidestepped the attack, his blade slicing through the beast’s neck in one smooth motion. The creature’s head flew off, and its body crumbled to the ground in a heap of decaying flesh and bone.
Before the others could react, Chiron was already moving. His sword danced through the air, a blur of lethal precision as it cut down beast after beast. He didn’t even break a sweat, his movements fluid and graceful, almost as if he were performing a macabre dance. Each swing of his blade was perfectly timed, each strike devastatingly effective.
This shocked Zi, her eyes twitching at this, but she did not falter, waving her hands for the others to attack. She believed that Chiron must not have gotten that powerful. After all, she had seen his battle back at the Chikitsa clan and believed that he could not handle this much power load from so many core beasts.
A giant spider-like creature leaped at him from above, its multiple legs reaching out to ensnare him. Chiron’s eyes flashed with amusement as he slashed upward, cleaving the beast in half. Its blackened innards spilled out, staining the ground with dark, oily blood. He spun around, his blade carving through the legs of another beast, a wolf-like creature with mangy fur and glowing red eyes.
The air was filled with the sounds of snarling, growling, and the wet, sickening thuds of bodies hitting the ground. Chiron moved with the precision of a master swordsman, his blade an extension of his will. Each beast that came at him met the same fate, their undead forms unable to withstand the sheer power and skill he wielded.
Zi watched in horror and disbelief as her carefully summoned army of undead was decimated. She had underestimated Chiron’s strength, his cunning, and his ruthlessness. The smile that had once graced her lips was now replaced by a look of pure terror.
Chiron’s smirk never faltered. With each beast he felled, he looked at Zi’s way. He relished the challenge, the thrill of the fight, and the feeling of his enemies falling before him. He was in his element, a predator among prey, and he knew it.
The last of the undead core beasts, a towering, skeletal monstrosity with wings of tattered flesh, let out a bone-chilling screech as it charged at Chiron. He stood his ground, his eyes narrowing with deadly intent. As the creature bore down on him, he raised his blade high and brought it down with all his might. The sword cleaved through the beast’s skull, shattering it into a million pieces.
Silence fell over the battlefield, the only sound the soft, labored breathing of the few survivors. Chiron stood amidst the carnage, his blade dripping with the black blood of his enemies. He turned his gaze to Zi, his smirk widening into a grin that sent chills down her spine.
“Is that all you’ve got?” he taunted, his voice dripping with disdain. “I expected more from someone who claimed to love me.”
Zi’s face twisted with rage and desperation. She knew she was outmatched, but she wasn’t ready to give up. Not yet.
“You… you monster!” she spat, her voice trembling. “This isn’t over, Chiron. I will kill you!” She launched on the back of the Giant core beast spider.
However, she suddenly heard Chiron’s voice at the side of her ear, “hey, lover! did I give you permission to leave!?”
*SLASH!*
