Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 537
Chapter 537: The Test Of Soul
Chiron’s fingers danced on the slap, climbing her fingers, and for a moment, he looked into her eyes, as if searching to see if she was going to reciprocate the subtle hint of attention he was giving her.
And her response, was a look into his eyes, and then at his lips.
He pulled her closer, his hands, cupping her neck, to take control of the moment, and just then, she leaned into him to kiss him. However, barely an inch apart from one another, so close he could smell the air off her lips, he whispered, “The true Chiraclo loves me, but sealed her heart for my happiness. She would never have let this happen.”
On saying this, his fingers, moved.
*CRACK!*
It was a sharp movement, done out of experience. And that was it. Chariclo fell limply to the ground. The shape of Chiron’s fingers still showing around her neck.
And then he stood to his feet, his eyes gazing at her corpse.
And for a few seconds, he was not sure if he had actually done the right thing, or if what had just happened was him committing murder in his previous world.
However, the world began to morph and change shape. It twisted, and changed and then it stopped. The ground was moist, and the air, the familiar fog.
The honking cars, the tourists, old ben feeding the birds, and the pizza guys by the side, it was all gone.
The world had resumed its dead, more familiar form that Chiron was used to.
Chiron’s eyes was still on Chariclos’s corpse, as if to take one last look at the only peace he had ever enjoyed in his life, and deny her existence.
The Corpse remained, eyes lifeless, and then like every other thing in this place, it transformed.
It became a Female bloodlust.
Chiron frowned. Who could have thought that he had been holding hands with a female bloodlust all along. he could only imagine how disastrous it would have been if he had given in to the lust of his mind, and kissed her.
After all, the secretions of these beasts was not normal. A kiss would have definitely turned into something else entirely and then he would have failed the test, similarly turning into a Bloodlust.
Chiron in his annoyance waved his one hand, and fire blazed. Instantly, burning the corpse in front of him.
The world had resumed its original form, and before Chiron was a huge castle.
One look and he could tell that this was the place. this was the heart of the Fog of Unbounded Demise.
Truly, this place had lived up to its name. Every test and challenge it had given, had been tailored specifically to the individual that seeked to conquer it.
This castle was huge and it was made crudely. As if it was an eight year old that had made it, some sides, were bent here and there, and some sides looked like they would fall. However, it was very much steady.
The true problem was the fact that, even though it defied the basic laws of a building architects were so proud of, it still stood. like an unmovable mountain, it stood firm. It gave off the presence of an unmovable sovereign, looking over the land.
On its walls were runes here and there.
It was obvious that the person that had create dthis place knew it was a terrible work and reinforced it with runes.
On the outside, the runes were a patchy work, but Chiron could sense that deep within was much different as a mixture foreign powers gave off their own energy from within.
Chiron was familiar with this foreign energy. he had felt a bit of it once before.
And that was when he had forcefully increased his power in the highlands. It was the power of the divine.
Chiron smiled. he knew that treasure he seeked was within this place. However, at the same time, his instincts told him that it was too dangerous to proceed.
Chiron had overcome the Test of Body, The Test of Mind, and definitely, he had to overcome the test of spirit.
He steeled himself and proceeded into the the castle.

Its walls were high, and in front were giant statures of Orcs. These Orcs looked at him, and he could actually feel their eyes move.
But he did not stop, progressing into the Castle.
On entering through the walls, he could hear a faint whisper, like a million voices echoing off the walls of the castle, teasing him as he walked further in.
And then on the walls, he saw certain totems. these were drawings. Chiron paused as he observed these drawings.
They were incredibly familiar. He mused to himself a bit, and then he remembered where he had seen them.
He had seen them in Vandoria, in a particular secret room. This was the same room that he had been invited to by none other than Elder Baldie, during the first time he had come to the country.
This totems depicted the story of the giant Serpent that fell from the heavens.
This was Manu Madayaki, the son of a god.
He had ruled the land for many many years, but was defeated and his soul was sealed by a human as a result of his greed.
According to the Calender on the side, this happened about ten thousand years ago.
Chiron frowned a little. Ten thousand years ago was also the period of the First Great War. The War of The Demons. When the Demons sought to enslave the entire world.
He could not help but wonder what that had to do with Manu Madayaki, the Great White Serpent of the Serpent God.
Or Could Manu have been the Demon King?
No! Chiron shook his head. That did not make any sense. There was absolutely no way that was possible.
Chiron read the totems even further.
However, an important part of it was missing. A huge chunk of the wall was gone…
