Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 541
Chapter 541: Manu Madayaki
Chiron looked at the image before him. The look, the body structure, the smile. It had everything. Even the one hand that had been turned to breast in the fight against the orc was there.
The image smiled back at him and Chiron could not help but shake his head, “This is so cliche you know!” He spoke to the image. “Let me guess, I am supposed to fight the greatest enemy I have which is me?”
The image chuckled lowly and then it gave a menacing smile. “Of course, you are…”
“No need!” Chiron frowned as he turned, walking away.
The image was surprised by what he was doing. Immediately, it jumped to attack him with its own Devil’s touch in hand. However, Chiron did not even turn about walking away.
“How dare you walk away from me!! Stop, get back here. Stay and fight me, or are you too chicken to face yourself? Are you afraid that your biggest enemy is yourself?”
Those words made Chiron pause in his steps and then he turned about to the supposedly evil image of himself. At first the evil image of him smirked as it saw Chiron walk over. However, there was something about his walking step that was off.
Chiron walked forward. He was not in a rush, one step at a time, Devil’s touch was not even in a fighting position. And if he had his other hand, he looked like he was folding his arms behind his back, like an old man taking a casual stroll through a quiet Garden.
One step at a time. There was a kind of annoying confidence to his steps, a challenge of sorts, not just to the image, but it gave the illusion that it was to the world.
The image sought to attack, but unlike the first time, its own Devil’s slave felt too heavy to lift. This was not a physical response, but a psychological one.
Chiron paused in front of this image of himself. Staring right into its eyes. “You can see it, can’t you?” Chiron began, his voice, barely audible but incredibly impactful. “Its not possible. If you are truly, a part of my soul, then you know it. From the smallest cell, my blood, EVERY organ of my being, and even my soul. There is none of it that is against the Functionality of WILL.”
Those words were so impactful that the image backed up bit, taking a step back, and then another, and then it fell on his ass.
And then like water washing the sand castle on a beach, a cool wind blew past.
Outside this space, within the room, the three heads of the Orc Precious land spirit all turned to Chiron in absolute surprise.
After all, a person’s greatest enemy at the end of the day was themselves, But Chiron had done the impossible, so effortlessly. There was no fiber of his being that was against his will.
Therefore, the part of his soul that had been taken to challenge him had no effect whatsoever. The ultimate challenge that should have been a challenge was no longer a challenge.
At such a time, The Orc precious land spirit was focused on Chiron, all three heads not noticing the rising malevolent figure behind them, the shadow of a serpent with three ruby eyes on each side.
By the time they turned, it was too late. As it rushed for them.
Chiron watched as his so called enemy of himself washed away. He did not even give it a second look as he turned.
Evidently, the test was over. However, the world did not change, and he did not return out there. Instead, it was just an eerie silence from the void.
“Orc-D3!” he called out. “Orc-D3!!” he called out again, but there was no response. Chiron was smart enough to know that something was wrong.
All of a sudden, shadows started to appear all around Chiron. He turned about, looking frantically as they seemed to vanish just as quickly as they came. In response, Devil’s Touch appeared in his arm.
The darkness twisted and turned, playing tricks on his eyes. A cold chill ran down his spine, and an eerie laughter filled the air, as if something malevolent was trying to haunt him.
The laughter echoed, reverberating through the void, growing louder and more menacing. Chiron felt a presence, something ancient and powerful, lurking just out of sight. His grip on Devil’s Touch tightened, his senses on high alert. The laughter stopped abruptly, replaced by a serpentine hiss.
“Ten thousand years, Ten thousand years I have waited, and finally, a vessel has presented itself,” the voice hissed, sending shivers down Chiron’s spine.
Chiron frowned, his eyes scanning the darkness, trying to locate the source of the voice. “Who are you?” he demanded, his voice steady despite the fear attempting to gnaw at him.
The voice chuckled, a sinister sound that seemed to slither through the air. “It is not who… but WHAT I am!” the voice responded, dripping with malice.
The shadows grew thicker, closing in on Chiron, the oppressive energy suffocating. He could feel the weight of countless years of malevolence pressing down on him, threatening to crush his very soul.
The hissing voice continued, a relentless whisper in his ear, “I am the ancient terror, the darkness that devours all. I am Manu Madayaki, The Great White Serpent.”
Chiron’s heart pounded in his chest as he braced himself, as devil’s slave rushed before him in defense, but just as close as that presence had been, it suddenly disappeared.

“You created the opportunity I had been waiting for, for a long time. Those fools that called themselves my brothers ensured that I and that useless, animal of an Orc pushed and pulled like the sea for thousands of years. But your victory just now, weakened her guard, and for a slight moment, she was distracted enough not to notice my invasion…”
