Chapter 557: Chiron’s Endurance Through It All
Meanwhile, deep within the Fog…..
“Not bad!” You are really something boy!” Manu madayaki complimented Chiron, as he spoke through one of the half cut white serpents on the ground. “Do you know how long it has been in the outside world?”
Chiron breathing heavily, with the wounds on his body gave a deep sigh, “Oh, I can imagine. A few extra weeks!”
Manu Madayaki chuckled, “Wrong, a few months. Even though time works differently compared to the outside world, It is still impressive to know that you were able to actually last this long. Tell me, are you not scared. Your mind is trapped in here with me. Your body is still at the lower Bronze rank. Surely, you are aware that you need food to survive right?
Why don’t you give up now, and let me take over that sweet body of yours. Even in here, the hunger must be tearing at your mind. I promise, I’ll get you the most exotic of dishes.” on saying this, the snake on the ground actually transformed into a snake dish.
Chiron would not say that it was attractive, but one thing for such was that in the state of extreme hunger, even sand would start to look delicious.
However, Chiron waved his hand, using devil’s slave to cut through the snake. “Don’t worry, I can manage with eating myself.
On Saying this, Chiron went low on one knee, and bit into his thigh. blood splattered everywhere, as he chewed and then swallowed. His blood falling down his lips.
This made the eyes of Manu Madayaki look at Chiron with a particular gaze.
This place was not the real world, and in truth, what Chiron just did, did not affect his real body. It did not even alleviate his hunger a little bit.
It was like eating in the dream but still feeling incredibly hungry. However, what really made him look at Chiron much differently was not the act itself. But the resolve to do it.
After all, if Chiron had made up his mind to do it in this place, then he was the kind of person that would do it in the real world.
As much as this impressed Manu Madayaki, it also pissed him off.
After all, he knew that Even Chiron had figured it out by now. As long as Chiron did not give up on his own accord, he was not going to be able to have Chiron like he wanted.
And so he wanted to break Chiron first. But Chiron was proving to be a very tough nut to crack. Manu madayaki had waited for more than ten thousand years for this opportunity, and now that it was before his eyes, the prey was provoking to be made of stubborn meat.
It was indeed very frustrating.
To worsen matters, he could tell that the Orc precious land Spirit was supplying Chiron’s body with spiritual energy. it was the reaosn Chiron had not collapsed even though he had not gotten food in a long time.
Of course, this would not stop his hunger, only sustaining his life.
This method was initially supposed to be for the individual undergoing the soul test. So that the person would not die from hunger of being in that place for too long.
Since Manu Madayaki had infiltrated it, then the orc Precious land spirit had concluded on helping Chiron.
Although Even If she had not been willing to, Chiron had his own means of survival as a result of the Fate Change System.
However, that required points, and in this place, that was a very precious commodity. After all, he was expecting someone’s arrival. He had to wait and grind patiently the very hard way until that person made it here.
It was all part of a grand plan and that person was an essential piece.
But his sins were still active in his body. And His Sin of Greed required him to take something considered to be precious to another person, at least once a day, or he would lose points.
Spending a lot of time taking these tests and finally being stuck here was taking a huge toll on his fate points. There was also teh fact that while fighting off the Bloodlusts, he had to refill his dantain a lot of times, because he used his World end technique a few times when things were becoming a bit overwhelming for him.
Back then, he had no choice. After all, he had realized that this test was not made for one like him. It was made for one with a better connection to spirit energy at a level that was beyond the norm.
Adding the fact that he had dropped in rank only added oil to the fire.
Nevertheless, he had finally made it thus far.
Now, all he had to do was wait, and Grind.
Even now, Chiron could not help but look at his blade and sigh. Surely, with his knowledge about this world, they should be much easier ways to grow in power.

Treasures at places he could take and climb. However, he knew deep down that it would not be enough. After all, it was not how great the power that the man had that was important.
It was How great the man with power is, that was important.
A Gun in the hands of a toddler will weigh him to the ground. But an Adult that had been traine dto effectively use the weapon was a lethal assassin.
Chiron knew that the adversities he was going to face in the future already had power. What he needed to judiciously develop was the character and discipline that came with one of power, even though he had decided to ride on the dark part.
This was the only way. It was for this reason that he would let himself be beating down, again and again and again, but will still rise back up.
After all, what use was having the knowledge of this world, if he could not even use it to build himself, his power, his mind.
Chiron had challenged the very gods that ruled and controlled the forces of nature. He knew that the only reason he had not been struck down by lightening by now was because of rules of the Holy Dao.
After all, he was definitely not the first mortal to curse at them, Or even claim that they were trash.
However, Chiron knew his weaknesses very well, and had long accepted that there were weakness. Against the gods, there was one very fundamental one, and that was experience.
Even If a god sat his ass on a stool all day, he would still have more experience in life than chiron, and this could be attributed to their thousands of years of existence or even more.
The only way he could even the playing field was to literally fortify his mind, and the only way to do it was by beating himself through the Smart but hard grind.
Chiron raised his head to the giant Serpent ahead and then he gave a side smile. “Are you ready for another round?”
Manu Madayaki frowned, “I’ll break You!” He screamed as thousands of snakes launched at Chiron.
………………..
Meanwhile, Dylan, Deamon, Black Arrow, and a hundred more daring individuals stood before The Fog of Unbounded Demise. They had all gathered for a singular purpose: to retrieve their prince, the one they believed would save them from the tyranny of King Victor.
Dylan pulled down the hood of his coat, revealing a determined expression. The fog before them was an eternal wall, swirling with an unnatural, almost malevolent energy. It seemed to breathe and pulse, a living entity that guarded whatever lay beyond.
He looked to his side, at his friend Deamon, who returned his gaze with a resolute nod. Deamon’s eyes were fierce, his posture unyielding. They both knew the risks, but their resolve was unwavering. They were driven not by a shared purpose, one a desperate hope that their prince could indeed be their savior, and the order the subject of revenge for lost love.
Dylan turned his gaze to the others. Black Arrow, a master archer with a reputation for unerring accuracy, stood with her bow at the ready. His eyes were fixed on the fog, his expression a mask of concentration. Behind him, the hundred warriors shifted restlessly, their faces a mixture of fear and determination.
“We go together,” Deamon Stated firmly, his voice strong and clear. “No one gets left behind.”
With that, he took a deep breath and stepped forward, leading the way into the fog. Dylan followed closely, his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready for anything. The rest of the group moved in unison, a wave of humanity plunging into the unknown.
The fog enveloped them immediately, its chill seeping into their bones. Visibility was reduced to mere inches, the world beyond a swirling gray void. The air was thick, each breath a struggle, as if the fog itself was trying to suffocate them.
Dylan kept moving, trusting his instincts to guide him. He could hear the footsteps of his companions, a steady rhythm that reassured him they were all still together. Occasionally, he glanced to the side to see Deamon’s shadowy form, always close by.
Time seemed to stretch endlessly within the fog. They walked for what felt like hours, the oppressive silence only broken by the sound of their own movements. The tension was palpable, each step bringing them closer to their goal, yet also deeper into the heart of the unknown.
Suddenly, a sound pierced the silence. A low, mournful wail that seemed to come from all directions at once. The group halted, weapons drawn, eyes scanning the fog for any sign of danger.
Dylan tightened his grip on his sword, his heart pounding. “Stay close,” he whispered, barely audible over the eerie noise.
They pressed on, the wail growing louder, more insistent.
And then came a flying a flying, spinning Axe that struck right in the center of an unsuspecting fellow’s head…
