Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 565
Chapter 565: The Second Round
The match had ended, and both sides were required to return to their respective corners. The crowd erupted in cheers, chanting Eunid’s name. Some of the women who had previously cheered for Arid switched their allegiance, now praising Eunid. In a display of their admiration, a few even threw their undergarments, including bras, into the stadium.
Eunid, however, remained composed and focused, not allowing the raucous display to distract him. He continued walking back toward his corner, his expression a mix of determination and quiet satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Mistress Nightfall was beside herself with excitement, celebrating Eunid’s victory with unabashed enthusiasm. She even made a move to jump into the arena, but Elder Pangubox quickly grabbed her by the blouse, holding her back. Undeterred, she continued to shamelessly scream her joy and support for Eunid, her voice rising above the crowd.
The elders around her pretended not to notice her exuberant behavior, choosing instead to focus on discussing the match. They exchanged compliments and smiled approvingly at Eunid’s performance, recognizing the brilliance of his strategy and his command over the battlefield.
“Impressive work,” one elder remarked, nodding in appreciation. “He truly took control of the battlefield with that move.”
“Indeed,” another elder agreed, his eyes following Eunid as he walked back. “He has shown a remarkable understanding of strategy and foresight. It’s no wonder he emerged victorious.”
As Eunid reached his corner, he glanced back at the arena, the cheers of the crowd still ringing in his ears. Despite the intensity of the battle and the excitement of the victory, he knew that this was just one step in a much larger journey.
Mulligan rose to his feet, his voice cutting through the lingering cheers of the crowd. “The participants will be allowed to take ten minutes to rest in the rest room. After that, the next round will begin.”
As he made this announcement, Alfred had already left the luxury box, heading to check on Alfred. Surprisingly, he still wore a smile, as if everything was unfolding according to his plans. At the same time, Old Fang and Nora also stood up, each intent on checking on their young master.
Within the resting zone, Alfred could hear the sounds of rage before he even entered. The screams and crashes came from Arid, who was venting his fury on anything within reach—lockers, benches, anything that could bear the brunt of his anger and frustration.
Arid’s muttered curses filled the air, words of hate and disdain for Eunid, whom he blamed for standing in the way of his destiny.
When Alfred entered, he went to take a seat at the side, observing the scene with a calm demeanor. Arid noticed him, turning with a deep frown. “Are you disappointed in me…? Uncle,” he said, a note of remorse in his voice.
Alfred only smiled, walking over to Arid and patting his shoulder. “Don’t worry. I know you will do well. Besides, anyone who isn’t a fool knew that Eunid was going to win that match. There is a reason he is tagged as one of the most talented of your generation.”
Arid’s eyes narrowed. “Are you here to rub it in my face?”
Alfred shook his head, his smile unwavering. “I’m too grown for petty mockery.” He pointed to the rune mark on Arid’s arm, a gift meant to enhance his abilities. “I have given you what you need. Crush your foe well.”
With that, Alfred left, his confidence in Arid unshaken despite the young man’s current rage.
Eunid, meanwhile, sat quietly in his corner, focusing on the upcoming round.
He knew that Arid’s rage could be both a strength and a weakness. In the end, it would be their strategies and abilities that decided the outcome, not just raw emotion.
Old Fang and Nora arrived shortly. Old Fang, with his usual stoic demeanor, gave Eunid a nod of approval, while Nora, still visibly excited from the earlier battle, offered words of encouragement.
“You did well, young master Eunid,” Old Fang said, his voice filled with pride.
Nora, unable to contain her excitement, added, “That was an amazing strategy! You really showed your skill out there. But you do know it is not going to be enough right?”
Both Eunid and Alfred paused as they turned to her.
“What do you mean?”
Nora, still a bit excited about the first match, did not notice the look of seriousness on the faces of the men.
“You lack it. His raw strength. Besides, your connection to your family flame is shaky.” As she said this, she had her eyes on Eunid.
Those words surprise old fang, as he observed her more.
Nora had her gaze focused on Eunid.
“Nora… tell me, can you see it?” Old fang asked.
Nora turned to him with a raised brow, “can’t you? The connection to the rest of the family. Its strongest at the luxury box, but its there.”
On saying this, both men looked at one another. Nora on the other hand, stopped smiling, realising that something was not right.

What she did not know was that what she was saying was practically legendary. Only those within the family that had connection on pa with his father, mulligan, could see the family’s connection to the family’s Diligent flame.
Nora was not even connected to the family by bloodline and yet, she could see it. This was incredible news.
“the cauldron is getting stronger.” Old fang muttered lowly.
And then Old fang turned to Eunid, “may I have a word with you in private young master?” he asked. Even though he said this, he was already pulling Eunid to a corner.
“what is it?” Eunid asked.
“I’ll go straight to the point. For your next round, you need to take her in.” Old Fang stated.
But Eunid widened his eyes. “No! i can’t do that. She is too young and far too weak to be in such a duel.”
“yet, I have a feeling that she might be your most valuable asset in this match. Trust me and take her in.”
However, Eunid shook his head, “I refuse to do such. Old fang, you know where I stand on this don’t you.” After which he turned and walked away, “thank you for your consideration. But I wont do such.”
Old fang frowned. “If you change your mind. Just say the word.” Old fang added.
After which, old fang also turned to leave. However, he patted Nora’s back, “the young master might be needing you soon,” he whispered. I’ll advice that you prepare yourself.
Nora was surprised at those words.
However, she did not oppose them at all. After all, she did not mind doing something for Eunid. She just did not know that it involved the battlefield. the same one that involved life and death at the moment.
Eunid and Arid changed within the resting zone, their previous attire now replaced with gleaming armor.
Eunid’s armor was a deep blue, the color of the Diligent family’s emblem. It was intricately designed, with plates that seemed to interlock seamlessly, providing both protection and flexibility. The armor was adorned with silver accents, reflecting light in a way that made it appear almost ethereal. On his chest, the emblem of the Diligent family—and then a stylized flame surrounded by a circle of runes—was prominently displayed, glowing faintly with an inner light. this was a rune for extra protection, able to hold back at least one attack.
Arid, on the other hand, wore armor of a rich crimson hue, representing his side of the family. His armor was more aggressive in design, with sharp edges and a rugged texture that suggested both strength and resilience. Gold accents ran along the seams, adding a regal touch to the fierce appearance. The emblem on his chest was the same as Eunid’s.
Both combatants looked formidable as they exited the rest room and walked into the arena. The crowd erupted into cheers, their excitement palpable as they saw the two warriors ready for the next round.
Mulligan stood to his feet, raising his hand to signal for silence. The audience gradually quieted down, eager to hear what he had to say.
“For the second round,” Mulligan announced, his voice echoing through the arena, “the combatants will face each other on the backs of Giant core beast Scorpions!”
A murmur of astonishment rippled through the crowd. Giant Scorpions were known for their ferocity and unpredictability, making this round a true test of skill and courage. The anticipation in the air grew thicker, and the spectators leaned forward, eager to witness this unique and dangerous challenge.
The gates creaked open, and the audience’s murmurs grew into gasps of astonishment as the Giant Scorpions were ushered into the arena. These scorpions, each the size of a horse carriage, were formidable creatures. Their exoskeletons were a glossy black, reflecting the harsh sunlight, and their double tails, each tipped with venomous stingers, swayed menacingly. Every so often, the scorpions screeched, a sound that sent shivers down the spines of the spectators.
Guards, experienced and skilled in handling these fearsome beasts, led the scorpions in with heavy chains. The task was not easy, as the scorpions lashed out with their powerful pincers and whipped their tails in erratic, deadly arcs. The guards had to dodge these attacks with practiced agility, evidence to their expertise.
The crowd watched in awe, fully aware of the danger involved in controlling such creatures.
The scorpions’ movements were both graceful and terrifying, their legs moving in a synchronized pattern that belied their deadly nature. Their eyes, black and beady, scanned the arena with an unsettling intelligence, adding to the tension in the air. The sheer size and power of these creatures were enough to leave the audience breathless.
As the guards finally secured the scorpions in the center of the arena, the crowd’s gasps turned into an excited buzz.
