Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 604
Chapter 604: And The War begins.
Eunid limped into the throne room, leaning heavily on a cane.
His body, though attended to by the best clerics Ramon and Arlen could find, was still healing. The bruises and scars ran deeper than just physical; whispers had spread throughout the family of screams emanating from his chambers each night.
The only one able to calm him during those moments was Nora, who had stayed by his side since the incident. Now, for the first time since that fateful day, Eunid was showing himself in public.
It wasn’t easy, as he bore the weight of immense shame and humiliation, but the moment Mulligan saw his son, he noticed something chilling in Eunid’s eyes—hatred and an insatiable hunger for vengeance. Gone was the innocent, smiling boy. In his place stood someone entirely different, someone forged by pain.
The elders quieted as Eunid made his slow but determined way toward the center of the room. Mulligan’s gaze remained fixed on him, sensing the change in his son but unsure of what it would mean for the family.
Old Fang, who had been silently brooding on Eunid’s arrival, stepped forward with a pained expression. “Young master… I failed you. If I had known the dangers, I would never have allowed you to go to the Chasisty family. This was my fault—”
Eunid raised a hand, silencing him. “You did not know. None of us did. But what matters now is that we act. If we don’t defend our…No! MY honor, then no one else will. The Chastity family must answer for what they did to me. And I will not let their crimes go unanswered.”
Eunid’s voice, though laced with strain, held a new authority as he spoke. “I did not want to go to the Chastity family’s party, Father,” he began, his eyes locked onto Mulligan’s. “But I had to. I needed to speak with Apollo for a reason far more important than any of you knew.”
There was a murmur of confusion among the elders. Eunid waved his hand, and as if on cue, Nora stepped into the room. Her presence immediately sparked outrage.
“How dare you bring a slave into this sacred space?” one elder barked, rising from his seat. “This room is for the core members of the family, not for—”
Eunid silenced him with a glare that left no room for argument. He turned his attention back to his father, speaking slowly but with conviction. “Nora is the reason I had to go. She possesses something of great value—an ancient Physic known as the 100 Body Cauldron of old. A spirit and body blessing owned by the Demon king and the Elf king, both of whom are responsible for the greatest wars in our history.”
Gasps filled the room. The elders exchanged shocked glances, and many began to murmur amongst themselves. Some were skeptical, others shocked, but most of them simply couldn’t believe it.
“Impossible!” one elder spat. “The 100 Body Cauldron is a myth. A legend passed down through stories. There’s no way this…slave could have such a thing.”
Eunid stood firm, his eyes never leaving his father’s. “If you doubt me, check for yourselves.”
An elder cautiously approached Nora, hesitating only slightly before taking her hand. He closed his eyes and sent a tendril of his spiritual energy into her, probing for the truth.
What he found made him gasp aloud. His hand shook as he quickly withdrew his energy, stumbling back. The other elders stared at him, waiting for his verdict.
“It’s true,” the elder whispered, his voice filled with awe. “She has the 100 Body Cauldron… I can feel it. Her spiritual energy is unlike anything I’ve ever seen…. But… But there is something else… Like its… its injured.”
Eunid nodded, “yes, she has been inflicted with a steal on her talent. With the cultivation secret of the Chasity family, we could have solved this problem. For you see, Nora can incubate anything… And I mean anything in her body.” As Eunid said these words, he looked in Alfred’s direction.
he did not say anything, but his eyes spoke volumes. At the same time, Alfred looked at his nephew with wide eyes. After all, Eunid was willingly giving away his most precious secret. This was a secret that would no doubt reach the ears of the Seer herself, therefore taking away his treasure.”
Meanwhile, the room erupted in chaos. Some elders were in disbelief, while others began to speculate on the implications. If Nora truly possessed the power of the 100 Body Cauldron, then the Diligence family had a weapon, a secret that could change everything.
After all, she could even heal their family flame.
Even Mulligan was shaken by such a news. All of a sudden, he understood why Eunid had been willing to spend five thousand fate gold coins on Nora, and why he had kept her so close. After all, if he was in his son’s position, he too would not allow such news out.
Nora had immediately become the most precious person and commodity of the entire family. This was an incredibly preciosu gift, even though she was broken, she was still a priceless treasure.
“Get my words to the Seer immediately!” Mulligan ordered, “tell her, the Diligence family wants the Chasity family out of the Holy church! Also send word of our bargain…”
The Elders in the room, came one after the other to check if it was true and continued to talk about it, many of them with a mixture of happiness and fear on their faces.
Eunid, however, remained composed. His eyes flickered with a dark satisfaction as he let the truth settle over the room. This was no longer just about vengeance for what had been done to him. It was about power, and what he could gain from it.
His gaze flickered towards his uncle’s once more. Both of them exchanging looks of pure malice. But no words were exchanged, none what so ever.
Only an acknowledgment of the price each one was willing to pay for what they wanted. But this was just the beginning… After all, this was the start of the war, many years before it was meant to happen.
