Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 614
Chapter 614: Nora Is In Trouble
Eunid pushed the dwarf aside without hesitation, his mind set on one thing alone — reaching Nora.
Ignoring the dwarf’s warnings and the tremors of power that radiated from the room, he flung the door open. Instantly, an immense surge of divine energy lashed out, nearly sending him reeling. But then, the emblem of the family head flared to life on his forehead, bolstering him against the overwhelming force.
The sheer intensity of it was too much for those nearby; maids and guards stumbled, some collapsing to the ground, while others scrambled to hide from the searing presence. Yet Eunid stood firm, although with great difficulty.
Each step forward felt like walking through a storm, the air thick and crackling around him.
At last, he caught sight of Nora. She lay on the bed, her body convulsing as tendrils of divine energy twisted around her, fierce and unrelenting. Her skin was pale, bruised with streaks of purple light that seemed to burn her from within.
Her eyes, once bright, were now half-closed, clouded in agony as the divine energy clawed its way through her veins, illuminating them in a painful, unnatural glow.
Seeing her like this, Eunid felt tears well up, unbidden, in his eyes.
The sight tore at him, and he stepped forward, arms outstretched, oblivious to the searing pain now gnashing at his own flesh as he neared her. His skin burned and stung, but he didn’t care. All he saw was Nora, suffering and alone.
But just as he was within reach, a hand seized him by the collar and yanked him out of the room. Furious, he whirled around, ready to strike back — only to find himself face-to-face with Mistress Nightfall.
“Why did you stop me?” he demanded, his voice laced with anger and desperation.
Mistress Nightfall shook her head, exasperation softening into concern. “Look at yourself,” she said quietly.
Eunid glanced down, the fury in his gaze flickering as he took in the damage. Deep gashes lined his arms and torso, his clothes torn and stained with his own blood. The divine energy had already marked him with burns, each slash evidence to his recklessness.
Before he could respond, mistress Nightfall turned to the others, her expression firm. “Seal the room and entire hall way yo this place. No one is to enter under any circumstances,” she commanded, her voice steady with authority. She raised her hands, fingers tracing patterns in the air, and a soft glow of starlight emanated from her palms. Magical symbols began to form, encircling the doorway, each one pulsing as it settled into place. The air shimmered, and the room was sealed with powerful wards, a quiet hum of protective energy settling around it.
Eunid sat in the head seat of the chamber, his posture regal despite the wounds freshly tended by the cleric.
The gentle glow of healing light was fading from his skin, leaving behind smooth, unmarked flesh. Ever since he had reignited the family’s flames, the clerics had regained their powers — a clear sign that the Diligence family was beginning to rise again.
Mistress Nightfall sat nearby, her gaze lingering on him with a certain intensity. Though she was young, still in her teenage years, there was a confidence in her demeanor that defied her age.
She bit her lower lip subtly, watching him with something close to admiration. This was the man she was promised to, and even she could see how much he had grown, transforming into a stronger, more capable leader than she’d ever imagined.
Beside her stood her uncle and guardian, Pangubox, leaning on his staff adorned with ever-watching eyes that blinked and darted, observing everything in the room. His gaze rested on Eunid as well, though with a wisdom and detachment that only age could bring.
As the cleric finished and left the room, Mistress Nightfall spoke. “I heard about what happened with Apollo and the Chastity family,” she said softly, a hint of regret in her voice. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there to support you. I had urgent matters to attend to.”
Eunid’s brow raised. “Matters of such importance?”
She hesitated, her eyes flickering with something unspoken. “Matters of magic,” she replied simply, “things that only a magician would understand.”
Eunid let out a mocking chuckle. “How convenient.”
Mistress Nightfall’s expression softened, but she held her composure as she leaned forward, speaking in a gentler tone. “I’m here to support you, my betrothed.” Rising from her seat, she crossed the room, reaching out to stroke his hair with familiarity. Her voice lowered as she called him by the nickname she’d used since childhood, “Talking Pumpkin.”
But Eunid turned his head, shaking it as he gently pushed her hand away. “Your support is welcomed,” he replied, voice cool, “but the hard part is over. I am head of the family now.”
She exhaled, stepping back with a hint of sadness, her eyes shadowed. “Then I know what I must do. I’ll prove my loyalty to you, and my love.”
Just then, a sound split the air — a deep, resonant trumpet blast, echoing across the entire Diligence territory. Eunid leapt from his seat, immediately recognizing it.
This was no ordinary call. Only one visitor in the realm was heralded by this unique trumpet.
The Seer had arrived.
…
The sky was painted with hues of twilight as a majestic vessel descended from the clouds, its form gliding with an ethereal grace. The Seer’s flying ship shimmered in a soft glow, adorned with intricate silver filigree that caught the fading light, casting brilliant reflections across the land. Its figurehead, a carved phoenix, extended proudly from the prow, symbolizing both rebirth and wisdom — hallmarks of the Fate Family.

Golden-armored knights lined the edges of the ship, their stance poised and resolute, radiating an aura of fierce, spiritual energy. Each knight bore the unmistakable emblem of the Fate Family upon their chests: a silver compass encircled by a laurel wreath. Their pristine white capes flowed like streams of light, lifting and rippling as the ship touched down upon the Diligence family grounds.
Eunid, standing tall, was clad in his finest formal armor, and beside him, Mistress Nightfall was wrapped in a dark yet elegant gown, rich with embroidery that whispered of her own magical prowess. The two, though young, emanated a sense of command. Around them stood the elder council members and the most esteemed figures of the Diligence family, each member’s expression mingling awe with reverence.
As the ship came to a halt, a gangway unfurled, and down it strode the Seer, her form both timeless and otherworldly. She was draped in robes of the purest white, adorned with constellations stitched in threads of gold and silver, each star seeming to pulse with a soft, divine light. A delicate veil covered her face, yet her eyes glowed like distant stars, piercing through as though seeing beyond the present moment and into the fates of those before her.
The golden-armored knights descended first, forming an immovable line on either side of the gangway, swords sheathed yet hands at the ready, each exuding a calm, disciplined power that warned of their capabilities. With precision, they raised their hands to their hearts in silent salute as the Seer approached the gathered members of the Diligence family.
Eunid took a step forward, bowing deeply in deference, his voice steady yet filled with reverence. “Honored Seer, welcome to the Diligence family grounds. We are deeply humbled by your presence.”
Mistress Nightfall offered her own bow, her gaze meeting the Seer’s radiant form with a respectful awe. The council elders followed, each lowering their heads in recognition of the powerful figure before them.
The Seer, her voice soft but resonant, acknowledged them with a simple nod. “Diligence stands renewed,” she said, her words laced with a mysterious knowing. “The winds of fate converge upon this place.”
The elders exchanged glances, whispers of anticipation filling the air.
The Seer approached Eunid with very quiet authority, her steps soft but purposeful.
She extended her hand, and Eunid’s gaze fell to the ornate ring on her finger, an artifact passed down from generations within the Fate Family. Recognizing this as the customary sign of submission to fate, Eunid lowered his head and pressed a respectful kiss to the ring, feeling its cool surface against his lips. It was an act of deference, acknowledging that the will of fate ruled over all the other families. And the Seer’s quiet smile showed she was satisfied.
Behind the Seer stood a man and woman dressed more casually, but their presence was unmistakable to Eunid. They were the legends he had grown up hearing about, warriors whose stories filled every young mind with dreams of courage and glory. Though they stood simply, there was a quiet power radiating from both, as if their past feats in battle had etched an aura of strength into their very beings.
The Seer wasted no time, her gaze turning with urgent intent. “Take me to her,” she commanded, her words an unyielding ripple through the air.
They led her through the grand halls to the sealed chamber where Nora lay. As they arrived at the doorway, Mistress Nightfall quickly moved forward, lifting her hands to undo the magic seal she had carefully crafted. But before her fingers could touch the barrier, the Seer raised her hand, and with a single, dismissive gesture, the seals unraveled, each lock and ward dissipating into the air like mist under a hot sun.
Mistress of the night was surprised by this. After all, her seal was so strong that she was sure that a gold rank would not be able to break it easily even if it was broken at all….
