Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 620
Chapter 620: I Have The Cure
The moment the dragon felt Manu’s spiritual pressure, it shrank back, growling under its breath before diving into the veil.
Manu smirked, watching it vanish into the mist-like entry. He nodded in satisfaction and ordered the humans piloting the Tesseract to follow.
However, the captain of the vessel, paled, his voice trembling as he turned to Manu. “We can’t enter the veil, my lord. The energies beyond… they would kill us. Our Dantain will burst without awakening.”
The captain’s words sparked a fury in Manu’s eyes. He was not interested in wasting words on tgd msn. Instead, Without hesitation, he raised his hand, and a hundred serpents—dark, writhing creatures that pulsed with a malevolent, twisted life—flowed out from his form, coiling like oily shadows through the Tesseract’s interior.
The serpents attacked the crew with terrifying speed and ferocity, teeth sinking into exposed flesh, tearing, coiling, and constricting.
Screams immediately filled the cabin, shrill and desperate, as the snakes plunged into their bodies, slithering under skin and muscle.
Some of the serpents coiled around throats, crushing windpipes, while others burrowed deep into eyes and skulls, leaving nothing but twisted, bloody remnants of what had once been Manu’s crew…very unfortunate men that no choice but to serve a mad ruler.
In moments, the Tesseract fell silent, save for the sounds of blood dripping on the cold metal floor.
Manu’s serpents coiled back to him, their work was complete.
With another flick of his hand, the serpents took control of the vessel, guiding it steadily through the veil.
Beyond the veil, Manu felt an immediate shift. The spiritual energy was dense, thick, and alive, pressing against his skin in waves. It held a raw, primal potency—like the heartbeat of the world itself, powerful and unrestrained.
And then he crunched his chest and head, both of which felt like they were about to burst like a balloon.
But he held on strong. After all, even though he was a gold rank cultivator, he was still not an awakened.
At least, Chiron’s body was not, and his dantains were warning him, threatening to break apart in a violent explosion.
But manu was far more experienced than many would know, after all, his origins were from beyond this world.
He muttered some rune words and a rune appeared mid air and then like a tattoo, attached itself to his body.
He now breathed easy.
Each breath felt like a spark, igniting his senses with its richness.
Now, he coukd even feel the benefits of this place.
Tgen again, this was no ordinary realm; it was one soaked in the raw, ancient spiritual energy, that once coursed through the veins of dragons.
Ahead, Manu surveyed the dragon territory in awe, despite himself. Towering forests stretched across the land, filled with colossal, twisted trees whose trunks were wide enough to house human cities.
Scattered throughout the landscape were the bones of fallen dragons, immense structures left where they had collapsed, weathered by time yet holding a silent dignity. These remains were hollowed out, and from within, homes and nests had been crafted—a sacred homage where dragon families now dwelled.
Dragons filled the skies, their scales glinting in shades of scarlet, icy blue, deep shadows, and silver-grey.
Fire dragons with scales like molten lava soared, their breath sending shimmering waves of heat through the air. Ice dragons followed, leaving trails of mist and frost. Shadow dragons melted in and out of the darkness, their forms barely visible, while wind dragons spiraled, casting gusts of air with each beat of their wings.
There were others too—light dragons that shimmered with a pale glow and earth dragons covered in moss and rock, moving sluggishly over the ground, their forms blending seamlessly with the terrain.
On the ground, dragon families moved about, their younglings playing, mothers watching over them with keen eyes. Elder dragons rested in silence, their breaths were slow, their eyes reflecting a wisdom earned over centuries.
Yet, to Manu’s keen eye, it was obvious: their numbers had dwindled. What had once been a thriving civilization of ancient, powerful beings now seemed a shadow of its former self, it was no wonder they had become a part of the Zodiac families. It was in an effort to sustain their survival.
As Manu guided the Tesseract toward the central palace, he noticed a gathering of dragons on the ground below.
They were huddled in mourning around a dragon’s corpse, its scales faded and eyes sunken. Manu’s gaze sharpened as he noted the telltale signs—not the peaceful end of old age or the marks of battle. This death had come from something far more insidious: a deadly disease that seemed to spread like wildfire through the dragon’s form.
“Draco Venenum!” Manu muttered to himself. It gave him extreme just thinking about it.

A gleam of satisfaction sparked in Manu’s eyes. His plans were unfolding even better than anticipated.
As Manu’s Tesseract cruised steadily through the dragon realm, five dragons took to the skies ahead, their forms silhouetted against the sun as they approached his vessel with menacing intent. Two more rose behind, flanking him like an escort, their powerful wings slicing through the air with rhythmic precision. Manu barely acknowledged their presence; he expected nothing less from the proud creatures of this land.
Back then ten thousand years ago, they were like this too.
The Tesseract slowed as it neared the crown home of the dragon patriarch, where the skeletal remains of an ancient, gargantuan dragon head loomed—a silent but awe-inspiring monument to the might of their ancestors.
The empty eye sockets seemed to watch him as his vessel drew close. This was in fact a reminder of the legacy that Manu intended to exploit.
Suddenly, waves of energy surged toward him from multiple directions, bombarding him from every side. Most of these were spiritual energies, heavy and intent, carrying killing intent and strength of ages past.
Interspersed among them were distinct traces of aura energy, raw and elemental, like the breath of the land itself. Each pulse seemed to assess him, probing the depths of his own power.
Yet, Manu felt no anger at this display. He knew the dragons were testing him, measuring his worth and intent. He leaned forward, letting his voice echo through the open air as he called out with a calm authority, “Is that how you treat your family’s savior from a disease only I have a cure to?”
The energies paused, flickering as if in hesitation, his words hanging heavily in the charged air….
